Elite Power Systems

I’ve used Elite for two generators so far. The first one was installed in 2009, and was an air-​cooled Kohler unit. It has been very reliable all these years. After moving into a new house in 2014, I needed another much bigger generator.
As with the first generator, I contacted three authorized sellers for installed cost. In each case, Elite was very significantly better priced. Installation has always been run like clockwork, and the annual maintenance that I choose to pay for has been faultless.
I guess I don’t understand why there are negative reviews about Elite since my experiences with them over the last 8 years has been great. Sometimes, it can be hard to get them since they are busy. However, they (and in particular Kelly) has always come through for us.
I do recommend Elite over everybody else, having talked to pretty much every Kohler installer in the NoVa area.

I hired them to install Kohler generator in my house. They put a hole in my ceiling while working in the attic. Then within five months of installation the generator developed a problem. Since it was still under warranty I asked them to come out to fix it. Six months later they still hadn’t come out, and when I asked them why they said they would not conduct this warranty repair UNLESS I SIGNED A MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITH THEM. Yes, they would not honor the factory warranty unless I paid them. This is a scam company. Stay far away…

Unless you’re prepared to spend more than $ 12k on your project, stay away from this company.
We were looking for a standby generator for our house. I called the company and left a message, went on their website and left them an email to request for a quote. After a few weeks, no news. Called the company again and got to talk to a person. Again, told them what we need. The lady said someone will call me.
Few days later, a gentleman called, said estimated price is $ 12k. I asked if they could to talk to us after office hours or during weekends, he said no, they do business only during business hours. I told him to call my husband as my husband knows the requirements of our needs more. Gave him the number of my husband and he never even call my husband.
I guess a project of this size is not worth «their time and effort». Unless you have a big project, do not bother with this company. They treat you like you’re not worth their time.
