JLC Contracting

When a tree falls on your house and you’re about to have your second child at any moment, you need a honest, reputable company to help you get back to whole. JLC Restoration is not that company.
I will admit that they came out quickly to take a look at their potential paycheck. After that, I did not hear back from them until about 2 weeks when I followed up to ask for their opinion and references. They provided neither, but responded with:
«The estimate that the insurance gave is lower than our actual costs would be. I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but we have to pass on this job. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.»
I was concerned and sent an email nearly a month ago and still haven’t heard back. This is not how restoration works. The contracting company is supposed to help fight for you and/​or provide the information you need to get your house restored to no less than its previous state. It’s clear from their response that JLC is far more interested in cashing paychecks than earning them.
