The menu is extremely poorly organized, and the staff are less than enthusiastic about helping you. The place looks like it’s a dance club at night, and the bathroom solidifies that people definitely get sick here for one reason or another. It may have been cleaned in the 90’s sometime. Unfortunately, we discovered all these wonderful things after we ordered our food. And took it to go. The good news is, the trash can got a free pizza and a gyro. We went elsewhere. and kissed the clean floor and tables.

This place is horribly dirty and I swear it looks like a place that it only open for money laundering or something. The food was not good at all and for a place called Slice of Italy” they had no idea what a chicken parmigiana was… I’d skip it. You aren’t missing much.

I went in with the intention of eating pizza, they sell it by the slice which is nice, but when I saw that they had a Gyro on the menu, snapped it up immediately. the Gyro was delicious perfectly prepared. the price was on point $ 6.00. I was glad to see that they don’t push the fries as a combo when you order the Gyro like other places which usually turns out to be a $ 10 lunch. The gentleman at the register was very nice as well. Great quick lunch thats not overfilling but satisfying very good experience. my review is based on the Gyro alone I did not have their pizza.

I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. I got a menu in the mail today and decided to give it a shot. After all, the menu says: «Guaranteed Best Quality». Here’s a hint — if a business claims it’s the«BEST», it RARELYIS. Often times, it’s the WORST. As is the case with Slice of Italy. I ordered their Tuesday free pizza deal(buy one get one free) and a regular pepperoni calzone for delivery. The calzone had a weird smell and when I cut into it, the dough was still raw in the middle. They also put marinara IN the calzone(hey guys, strombolis have marinara — calzones should only have ricotta and mozzarella). After being disgusted by that, I decided — okay, I can always just throw it in the oven and cook it a little longer later, so I switched to the pizza. It looked like a store-bought pizza at best. The pizza was not a NY style as I was expecting based on the picture on their menu. It was a pillow of dough — the sauce was tasteless and the toppings looked days old. Then I looked at my receipt and they over charged me for the calzone. I was starting to get sick to my stomach from the slice and a half of pizza and a fork full of raw calzone, so I called them to complain. The guy on the phone offered me a discount on my next order for my troubles. AREYOUKIDDINGME? I just told you that I am disgusted by the food and I wont eat it — you really think I will order from you guys again. I guess that’s how they do business. He told me the manager would call me but I wont hold my breath. Absolutely disgusting.

I ordered from Slice for the first time on a Saturday night. I really enjoy thin, crispy crust and have found that most of the pizza joints around Sterling serve more of a handtossed, soft crust. We received a menu from Slice of Italy in the mail and I was happy to find out that they offered a thin and handtossed crust. I ordered a medium thin with pepperoni and green olives, a gyro and a two liter of Coke. The gentleman on the phone put me on hold multiple times but the order got taken. Delivery time was good but came without the Coke. The driver told me that it was not on the ticket, but upon review of the ticket it had 2L Coke clearly printed. The driver said he would be right back with the Coke. 45 minutes later he was back. The gyro was good. The pizza on the other hand was a disaster. Upon opening the box I noticed that crust was handtossed. Not happy but the pizza looked okay. While putting a slice on a plate I could smell raw dough. I turned the pizza over and discovered why; the crust was essentially raw. Just enough time in the oven to brown the toppings and cheese. I would like to tell you how the pizza tasted but I do not know. It found it’s way right into the garbage. On another note, a sandwich I did not order showed up with the delivery, but I gave it back when the Coke showed up. I will give one star as the bottle of Coke was cold and tasted quite good!!!

Ok, I have to say I like this place because it has a variety of foods to choose from — and falafel on delivery??? Wow. Love it. The first time I ordered it took 3 people to get my order, not sure why. But they did get it right, and it came in a timely fashion. We ordered for a second time today, and our only complaint is that they are REALLY skimpy on the fries, which don’t come with the sandwiches or burgers, they are extra. I still give them three stars for the variety. It beats the pizza or Chinese delivery options if you ask me. And the food overall has been good each time, so no complaints there either.

Loved it! It’s one of those local«finds». As my husband would call it since he is from the South– it’s a hole in the wall joint with fantastic food! The staff is nice, the pizza and calzones are just awesome! Worth going to before or after the movies for sure!(even picking up a pie)

The service was cool and the prices weren’t too bad, but the pizza was below average and the establishment was kinda dirty.

On Mondays they have a large one topping pizza special for 6.99. It would have been nice of the person on the phone to tell us that when we ordered a large pizza for pick up! We ordered 3 toppings and it came out to 20 bucks and they even forgot one of our toppings! Not cool! The following week we got the special and added one extra topping for an extra $ 1.99(total of two toppings — roasted red peppers and basil). The total came out to $ 9.00…far from the 20 dollars we paid last week for three toppings! Anyways, if you look at the pic I posted, you can see they aren’t very generous with some of the toppings, esp the basil! SMH!!!

Just a note: I have not had pizza here. My husband and I ordered delivery one evening — they are right around the corner from us. He had the lasagna and I had the Prosciutto panini. The food took FOREVER to arrive and we were starving by the time it got there. I opened up my container and took a bite of my sandwich. GROSS. I love prosciutto so I was really excited for this panini. I opened up the sandwich after the nasty tasting first bite: Brown mushy lettuce, some cheap mozzarella, and a few sparse chunks of fatty ham. Prosciutto is supposed to be thin sliced cured pork, it is not thick chunks of cooked ham. UGH. The whole thing was inedible. We called them to complain, but it would have been another hour before they could get a new entrée out to us. They agreed to give us a credit toward our next purchase(not likely that we will return but maybe to try a pizza) My husband will eat just about anything so he didn’t mind his lasagna, but he did say he had really bad heartburn after he ate it.

The tuna salad was basically some leuttuce, a little red onion, some tomato, and a bit of dry tuna dumped on top. not the two scoops of tuna as advertised. the tuna should be mixed with mayo and celery not bone dry… kind of hard to scoop? and NO olives and NO salad dressing. A nd a tiny piece of hard garlic bread?.The gyro machine sat unused. the ice tea machine was broken. meatballs were not homemaid, the baklava bought eleswhere. the hummus lacking any lemon or garlic… i was told they didnt have time to make bakalva. this only at best a fast food pizza joint under the façade of a Italian Restaurant.

I came here when it was formerly Jerrys pizza and subs. Needless to say, one order at Jerrys and now I know why it closed down. I walked in confused because the staff and décor looked exactly the same. I asked if it was the same deal with a new name and they told me it wasnt. I ordered a pizza special two large pizzas to go. The staff was nice enough. The pizza, was not very good. It tasted very similar to the pizza I ordered when it was Jerrys. It was edible, and hot are the good points. Rather rubbery, and bland in my opinion pizza at Little Caesars tastes better. Even my kids did not tear into it and I ended up throwing alot of it away like a huge waste of money. Next time Ill pass up Slice of Italy for pizza orders. Perhaps there other options are more appetizing. Good luck with that, and I am a person who sincerely hopes they make it better every business deserves to succeed. For my hard earned money it must be a better tasting option to come back as there are wonderful pizza places closeby for same money.
