Established in 2014.

Gained experience by working hourly for a large company, and then starting my own property maintenance company.

After almost eight years of running the property maintenance company, my dream of starting my own Locksmith Company became realized.

Licensed by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services as a CA Locksmith in November, 2013. One of the best days of my life.

I scrimped and saved money as much as I could while trying to provide for my family. Getting the license was just one challenge. I still needed tools, equipment and more advanced training in the art of Locksmithing.

After saving money for several months, I invested in the tools and training I needed to start this business.

I officially opened Chris Mullen, Locksmith Service in June of 2014.

I always thought I was going to be a famous rockstar. That was always my childhood dream. At about 20 years old I started working for a large corporation flipping foreclosure properties. After working as a field tech for the company at an hourly rate I decided to start my first business, CSM Property Preservation. One of the trades I learned while practicing this business was the art of locksmithing. While my passion was still music, I began becoming more and more enthralled with the Locksmith Trade. After running CSM Property Preservation for almost 8 years I decided it was time to hone my skills in one major area, and strive to be the master of my craft. In November of 2013 I became a licensed locksmith in the state of California. That is one of the best moments of my life. So here I am today now, a professional locksmith. I accidentally locked myself out of my business and didn’t have a spare key I called 5 other locksmith businesses around the area and no one was available to come out and let us in. So I tried Unilocal search and Chris’s number popped up I called he picked up and 10 minutes later showed up to our business he was fast and professional we got back into our office and back in business within 10 minutes! I highly recommend Chris!

This is my first review ever and what better way to
start off then to write about a locksmith. I called Chris Mullen locksmith to rekeyed the locks on my restaurant and Chris himself picked up the phone. Dude knows everything about doors and locks.
He arrived exactly on time and keyed my three doors, one front and two back, in less than an hour. His rates were reasonable, in fact he only charged me for 4 locks although he changed 5. And he seems pretty honest cause he suggested that on one of the doors, I can just go home depot and buy the lock myself and save some money. I calculated it wasn’t worth my time for a few bucks though. I’ll definitely give him a hollar if I need locks changed.

Chris Mullen is plain awesome. Yesterday I was scammed by a fake locksmith and Chris happens to live near my neighborhood and saw this white dodge van parked outside my house working on my car (my ignition cylinder wouldn’t let my key turn it so it needed to be replaced.) Chris asks me how much I’m being asked for and when I tell him $ 800, he actually came back and explained to me how this guy I called was a well known scam artist and that he recognizes the van. He gave me the peace of mind I needed in that nerve shot moment… scammer had already charged me 300 before asking for the other 500. When I told him no I’m not paying for it he left, leaving a big open hole where the ignition is supposed to be and threatened that if I cancel my previous payment he’ll «be back.» Ultimately, it was an extremely frustrating and draining experience and Chris was good enough to stop and help. He saw that white van and took it upon himself to stop whatever he had planned that day for a while just to come give me some advice. He recommended Big Valley because they also do auto locksmithing. He even educated me, just some college kid, on the credentials you should ask for whenever someone services your car or house; ID, permit to work from the state, etc. I’m just sad I couldn’t give Chris my business (he doesn’t do car stuff), but his honesty and passion for what he does is more than enough for me to know that this is a man who takes his work seriously and would excel at whatever profession he put his time and energy into. Seriously, give this guy a call, especially when it’s a frustrating or even scary situation.

I can’t thank Chris Mullen enough. I called because I broke my key off in the front door lock of my 1930’s house with an antique mortise lockset (very hard to find). He was very knowledgeable, quoted me a price over the phone for him the do the repair and he also told me that I can get the part and do it myself to save money. He even told me the best place to get parts. Next time I have ANY issue with my locks I am definately calling Chris. And for him to take the time to help me out on a holiday is incredible.

So I locked my keys in my work van. I’m on a job and need my tools. Couldn’t wait for AAA tow because they may be an hour or two. Looked up locksmiths on Unilocal and found Chris. Told him my situation and he said he’d be right over. Less than 15 minutes later he rolls up with all the right equipment. Another 10 minutes and I’m back in business. Chris was very professional and his price was very reasonable.
