Business Owner
Kim Corkum is the founder and owner of the Allegro School of Music. With over ten years of experience teaching in the area, she’s developed a loyal following and is one of the more sought after piano teachers in the Stoneham/Melrose area.
Kim began her musical studies at the age of four and continued her studies under Juanita Tsu at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She holds a B.M. in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and an M.Ed. Lesley University.
She is a full-time teacher in the Melrose school system, where she teaches music and directs the middle-school chorus. She has been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Education to teach vocal and instrumental music for all levels, pre-K-12.
Kim is also an active performer. She routinely acts as the accompanist for many local musical theater productions and for different vocal soloists.
