Dari is a little boutique located smack dab in the heart of studio city! I always loved coming here to see all the new things they would bring in. Most of the things were a little too pricey for me personally, but i would manage to find odds and ends in my price range. The one star im leaving is due to the fact for my favorite gal Brooke no longer being there. For whatever reason, the personality of the place, and the person who made personal shopping more fun than you could ever IMAGINE no longer works there for reasons beyond my comprehension. I’m not sure how this place is going to attract and keep the clients, because like me, im sure most of them would go primarily because of her.

Dari is the best boutique this side of the hill! They have an amazing selection of brands and clothing. They carry labels like Iro, Free City, Enza Costa, Michelle Mason and more! The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and they have great suggestions on styling too! It’s nice to know I have a boutique in the valley I can go to that has the «Beverly Hills» feel without the Beverly Hills attitude. Thanks Dari!

I actually haven’t purchased anything yet but I loved everything and will be back very soon to purchase but I wanted to speak more on the customer service I walked in and immediately they said hello to me they were not pretentious I find that a lot in LA walking into these boutiques but these ladies were very sweet and helpful they offered to find me my size and other suggestions that might be work for me for what I needed. It is pricy but not outrageous it’s comparable to nordstrom or niemans, you get what you pay for is what I always say I’ll pay a lil extra for quality… My only CON get a bigger flashy sign so ppl know you’re there you deserve the business! :) best of luck… I’ll be back!

The store and staff are great ! The owners are amazing. Don’t believe the hype of the negative reviews. Dari is beautiful, with exceptional selection. They are so friendly — I just love going in there!

Meh, this store just hasn’t done it for me in a long time. Other reviews are true that you are barely acknowledged when you walk in the store, that off the bat doesn’t make you want to spend money in there. The lines that they carry are so obscenely priced it’s laughable. I’m sure their sales have slowed dramatically especially when you have super cute stores like Soto and Soto Lifestyle just down the street where everything is cute and so affordable. Plus, the women that work in Soto are really nice. Snotty attitudes are so Kitson circa 2002. We have so many more options available now to not have to put up with people that don’t try to make the store more welcoming & also affordable to all their customers.

Sales staff is inexcusably rude. I have gone in there every now and then for years — and yes I have purchased things. But I can’t leave that place without feeling like I am a homeless, dirty person who has no business in their store. Happened again today. Not going back.

I too have gone in a dozen times and been ignored. Unusual for me as I am known as Ms. Good NRG and always have something nice to say to everyone, it“s just who I am. Nice. Maybe they were having a bad day? Maybe a million things but maybe next time I go in someone will say hi back! I hope so. I know they have some beautiful clothes and I love beautiful clothes!

Ew, who do these girls think they are that work here? What happen to customer service??? You can’t say hello when someone walks in? Is it an «LA» thing? i walked in ready to spend some money on clothes and i was so turned off by the horrible energy and people that work here!

I just have to say that i am a shopaholic, so much so that i am starting a blog about it… i have to completely disagree with Jamie A. I went into Dari after a 2 hour sweat session– i was in my workout clothes completely grimey and i volunteered to not try anything on as i walked in and the gals there– veronique and brooke– were beyond fun, kind, charismatic, honest, and helpful. Shopping is a fun experience, and while i have been to pretentious boutiques, this stands out as one that is far from that. maybe it was an off day for them and you jamie a., give it another shot. i loved it so much that i cannot wait to go back… just have to wait to replenish my wallet. Yay Dari!!!

Pretty Woman?
Anyone who knows me knows that I almost never leave a store without purchasing something. But after visiting Dari today and being completely ignored YET AGAIN, I am DONE!
Call me crazy, but in that store (and many others), customer service seems to be an oxymoron. Am I not dressed to code? Do I not appear to be someone who can afford their merchandise? Well think again, because I can, but after today, I simply will not.
I am done walking in, not being greeted, carrying a pile of clothes around the entire time I shop, not being offered a dressing room, and NEVER being helped. I have shopped at far more pretentious stores and still have never received such lousy service.
Sadly there are only a handful of good stores in Studio City, and after today, the list got even smaller.

I went in on a whim looking for shoes and stayed. The two women in the store were warm, helpful, and offered tons of information on products in the store. Price point is very consistent with Ventura Blvd. I ended up purchasing a pair of sandals. The shopping bags they give are great! I was really surprised with the selection of goods. You can tell a great amount of thought has gone into buying.

Nothing to say but this place is my #1 store on either side of the hill. Obviously care is taken in each selection with a specific POV.

if i could give this place 10-​stars, i would. i went in today super bummed that another boutique that carried a brand i love (repetto, and it’s friggin’ hard to find in LA, let alone the valley) didn’t have what i wanted. brooke was SUPER friendly and hooked my up like it was going out of style. the place has an awesome selection without any off the assy-​mcgee attitude. i couldn’t wait to come home and say thanks with a review!!! i don’t get all these four-​stars-​THANK YOU BROOKE N’ LEAH!!!

Ever since Brooke and Leah took over ownership of Dari last September, it seems like they’ve made a real effort to offer not only trendy high-​end (translation: high-​priced) items, but also some very affordable options as well so you should definitely give the story another try if you had stayed away b/​c of the very high-​priced merchandise. Obviously, the store still caters to the very high-​end, cool crowd for sure, which is great because there’s always terrific clothing in there that will add to any wardrobe without making you look like a fashion sheep — they have unique finds in there. But still, I was able to do quite a bit of holiday shopping there and found many wonderful, impressive gift items under the $ 100 mark.
The jewelry section is really eclectic and cool — peace signs, birds, buddahs, cuffs, spiritual stuff, trendy stuff — all beautiful, but also different and unique from the rest of the pack.
They carry great designers and are constantly getting new things in and they’ve got kind of a Boho Chic style but you can always find something for everyone. But the best part about the store, in my opinion, is how lovely the owners and staff are. They are welcoming, friendly, HONEST (when was the last time someone in the sales business actually told you NOT to buy something if it didn’t truly look great on you). Also, everyone that works there is very fashion savvy and they offer great advice on what to pair different pieces with, etc. I’ve actually brought in pieces from my own closet to build around and they’ve helped me enormously.
I’m a big fan of this store.

I just went to the blowout sale today and found some really good deals on a 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt, as well as a T-​shirt and long-​sleeve shirt from designers I’d never heard of. The atmosphere was a bit like the Barney’s Warehouse Sale — a bit frenzied. Still, I was impressed that everyone from the girl who held bags to the fitting room attendants to the girls at the cash register remained pleasant throughout the afternoon. I would definitely come back for the selection of jeans, T-​shirts, dresses, and skirts.

mel is one of the nicest owners and is always there to help you with what ever you need
the store is comfortable and a «zen-​like» haven there are designers that are well know and designers that are not as well known
the atmosphere is hip and people from the olsen twins to the simpson sisters to jennifer lopez has shopped here

This is a super cute boutique in Studio City, owned by none other than Captain Kirk’s daughter, Melaine Shatner. They carry a lot of fun brands (Marc Jacobs, Juicy, Seven, etc.) and they have a fantastic array of hip, trendy clothing & accessories.
If you’re not in the mood to drive over the hill to Fred Segal, this is your next best bet.
