Shannella from Makeup by Shannella did a fantastic job for me and my wife 2 Sundays ago for a big banquet/​gala we hosted on Sunday, Dec 6th. We had close to 700 guests and media coverage due to the VIP guests we had. Since Shannella did my makeup last year and I had received lots of compliments for the same event, I asked her again to help me look good. She also did my wife’s makeup this year since my wife said she must be extremely talented if she can make me look good. The results were perfect and flawless. Both of us received many compliments and I actually looked pretty good on tv when the reporter interviewed me. Thank you Shannella!

I was in Los Angeles and at the last minute my original makeup artist had a family emergency and couldn’t make it. I woke up to a panicked voicemail explaining how an accident occurred and she needed to fly to be with her family. I understood but was still annoyed because I thought for sure I wouldn’t be able to get another artist on such short notice.
I contacted several artists from Unilocal and Shannella got back to me immediately. She was able to squeeze me in. She arrived about 5 min early and we started discussing the look I was going for. I’m extremely picky when it comes to makeup but her application and blending techniques are on point. Not to mention that she works quickly and throughly well being able to maintain a nice conversation.
Before I knew it my makeup was done and it honestly is probably the best makeup I’ve ever had done. I will always use her from now on if I have any shoots in LA. Whatever foundation she used on me was full coverage but yet you couldn’t see it on my skin also her contour and highlight was expertly applied. I wish I could’ve worn that look for the rest of the week.

Such a great experience. I would say I was a bit of a makeup novice before scheduling my makeup lesson with Shannella. Shannella was able to show me a number of useful techniques, great tips, and tricks when applying my makeup. She also recommended some of the most ideal products (which I am in love with by the way).
Since my makeup lesson, I am much more comfortable with the process of applying makeup from day to day. This is a huge relief; now during my makeup ritual, I breeze right through it in half the time and double the results. Thank you for your amazing work and teaching me how to go day by day with all the right techniques for my type of skin and recommendations to such amazing products I had never even heard of.

Wow today’s makeup was sensational for my best friends wedding! Her bridal makeup was flawless and light and mine was perfect. Shannella is quick, she listens to your needs and executes perfectly. I had a pregnancy photo session last month and was not sure who to contact for hair & makeup. I found Shanella on Unilocal and when I called her, she immediately gave me a super friendly vibe over the phone. She asked what look I wanted and was very informative. I can tell she already had a plan in mind when I said I wanted a fresh-​look but at the same time still looks like I had makeup done. We set a date & she arrived on time and did exactly what we talked about. She’s a perfectionist so she’ll ask you multiple times if you are satisfied with her work so far because if not, she can always alter it to your liking. I’m so glad I found her. Let me start by saying that I never get my makeup done professionally, because I used to work for a major makeup brand and was trained to apply makeup for a living. However, I was recently in a friends wedding and saw how beautiful the bride and the other bridesmaids looked after Shanella did their makeup! All of a sudden I found myself begged her to fit me in. ON THE WEDDING DAY. The other women had booked her months in advance. She took my last minute request with grace and stride! She even felt bad that she didn’t give me enough time and gave me a touch up again after photos. After she did my makeup — I looked and FELT BEAUTIFUL. I got so many compliments that evening. I slept in my makeup because it was so pretty! I would hire her in an instant and am recommending her to all my friends. Hire her if you want to look pretty, sophisticated and very sexy.

As a photographer finding the right makeup artist can be very challenging. Shannella is my top go to artist. She takes directions well but also has her own great ideas. She is professional, has great integrity and is fun to work with. Most important, I’ve never had a client be less than thrilled. Finding the right makeup artist is a huge task for a girl to do on her own. I was so luck to have found Shanella, she was prompt and super flexible. We set up a trail a couple weeks before my event because I didn’t want anything super crazy, I wanted to look classy with a soft look and luxurious hair. I was so amazed with the end result, Shanella really listened to my requests on how I envisioned my makeup and gave me some suggestions as well.
On the day of my event Shanella definitely delivered. She arrived early to set up and was actually waiting for me, she finished before schedule giving me plenty of time to get dress and accessorize before it was time to head out the door. That was defiantly a bonus with my boyfriend he gave her an extra tip and said «Finally, a makeup artist that doesn’t have me waiting all night! Babe, that’s it, no one else she’s the one!»

My parents were going to be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a large dinner and reception. I don’t usually hire a make up artist to do my make up but since I was going to be the announcer for the evening I wanted to look my best.
Oh my gosh, Shannella DuPuis of Ellamua was fantastic! I arrived at her studio and was pleasantly surprised with her expertise and professionalism. I throughly enjoyed the whole experience. I felt like I was having a spa day. Shannella was very attentive to my needs, made me feel very comfortable and showed me tips on how to touch should I need it. She was amazing and she made me look amazing. I will use her services and highly recommend her to my family and friends.

By far the best makeup artist i’ve ever had. Shanella was referred to me by a friend of mine who has been getting her make up done by Shanella for years. She came highly recommended so I decided to give her a try.
I was going to a wedding and had a light pink dress with black lace. I wanted her to do a light smokey eye with a light pink shimmer. It turned out absolutely perfect. Ever since, Shanella has been my makeup artist of choice and I wont go anywhere else. She does amazing work and I highly recommend her.
