Nu Color Printing

This was a very disappointing and time-​wasting experience. I had gone to this company to print my greeting cards. I called the morning they were supposed to be done and was told they would be printed by 12. Therefore I arranged my day schedule so that I could get there in time. I arrived to the business and a technician was fixing the machine and the worker at the front desk told me to go do errands and come back. They could have called me and warned me they were not ready. Then I came back a few hours later and the job was «done» however the quality was horrible. Each card had blue splotches in them and the solid colors were striped with lines. The workers had handed these off to me as a completed product, when they were not exchangeable to my own clients. The manager came over and told me that he would get the machine re-​looked at and wouldn’t charge me. I already had a customer on backlog for an order. I then came back the next day when the machine was supposedly fixed and only part of my order had been corrected, with «inexplainable» low quality on some of them and the manager was blaming my files, which when checked were found to be totally fine. He then told me that the following Monday he would have the cards fixed and call me. It is now Thursday and I have still not heard back from them. I will not use this company again for digital printing. The same files I got printed at PrintNet for much much better quality.

Follow up is terrible. I’ve tried giving these guys business from custom printed folders to envelopes. Takes a week or more to get a response and the price is just a joke. 50% higher than any competitor. I always try to be a patron of local business before chains but tried again today, same result. 3 strikes and your out as they say. Save yourself the time.

I am not gonna go here ever again. They did a terrible job with my books and their attitude made me angry. I inquired two perfect binding books last Wednesday and I asked them if my books can be done on monday morning. I asked three times and he said it should be done by then. Also he said he will call if he has problems with my books.
He didn’t call during the weekend so I thought mine was going well. But it wasn’t.
When I went to the shop to pick up on Monday, he didn’t even cut my print outs which was very unprofessional and ridiculous. He said he misunderstood my inquiry and I was outrageous about his attitude. It’s your job and how do you misunderstand and not call me about my inquiry instead of waiting til’ I came to pick them up?
He should have called me if he had problems with it. But he didn’t. Also with my books, there were white margins left that he didn’t perfectly cut. Since I needed them for my finals, I had to pay for them anyway. They didn’t even suggest a discount for unprofessional job. What a shame! I suggested a discount and they only discounted $ 20. Also, the lady working here said to me «If you don’t like the result, you should just leave it. Then we won’t charge for it.» What the Fuck is that attitude? Anyway, I can’t recommend this place at all. I want to request to redo my books but I am so mad about this place so I just decided not to go.

I used Nu Color a year ago when I was sending out some invitations to an event and I wanted them to be nicely printed.
I had ordered nice custom invitations with non-​standard size envelopes, and I had a spreadsheet of the names and addresses.
I described what I wanted to do — and they basically took over from there. We measured the envelopes, they worked with me on a mail merge into Word to get the layout right, and then they test printed one to show me what it looked like. Once I approved it, they ran the whole file. They even re-​printed a couple that I didn’t like the look of — even if it was my fault because those addresses were longer than the others and I messed up the layout.
The entire process took about 45 minutes — and they had no idea I was even coming.
I was so impressed that I was willing to pay whatever they charged. They even made a joke with me — the guy said «that’ll be $ 220». I said ‘ok’ without even hesitating — it was totally worth it. And then he started laughing and said «I’m just kidding. $ 54 all in.»
They are located in the back of the strip mall with a Trader Joe’s (enter off Laurel Canyon to make it easy), and there’s plenty of parking on that side, right outside their entrance.
It’s not often I need something like this, but they’ve earned a customer for life.

This place is amazing and has very good pricing! I printed all my wedding programs, thank you cards, etc and they all turned out amazing! I worked with Wilson and he was great! High recommended!

Excellent customer service! I went in to figure out how to get lyrics printed on a matted frame. I had no idea how I was going to print on the thick matte let alone get it perfectly fitted on the matte. I’m not sure of his name (please forgive me!!), but he was SUPER helpful and I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to help me with my project!!! I was able to email my PDF file and then waited as he worked determinedly on my project. It came out perfect and it was all done in just a couple of hours! Amazing service, extremely affordable, and very friendly:)

They have been very good on a variety of generally small print projects I bring them. Wilson has a great eye for quality and also is friendly and helpful. Good value, and they have excellent turn-​around times.

I needed some last minute things printed for our wedding. I needed a 24×36 poster with the seating chart and needed it to be designed and laid out, table numbers, and menus. They were able to do this on super short notice (dropped off on Tuesday and picked up on Thursday). Naz made our seating chart look nicer than the sample I showed her! So happy with how everything turned out!

I am a BIG Fan of Jacob, John and the crew at Nu-​Color Printing. I have worked on very laborious folder, banner an flyer projects for my children’s local school and they have been professional, courteous, helpful in stretching our limited budget and on time. Love this place as its a joy to work with them. And they are a LOCAL business not a corporate franchise so I personally will always support them first!

I don’t go anywhere else for printing. This place can do everything I ask for and even goes one step further. They work with me on price. They are extremely creative and can help the overall look of my projects with great suggestions, even if it means more work for them for less cost. Also, my kids get a lollipop every time I bring them in which is so sweet. Nu-​Color does it all! Check it out whether you’re printing out a one page document or making 1000 custom invitations, you won’t be sorry! (Also convenient parking right in front of the their door is helpful in the busy lot.)

The. Absolute. Best. My company used to go to Kinko’s/FedEx Office for all of our bulk graphics and marketing needs. But since we discovered NuColor (recommended highly by an employee of a FedEx Office, by the way), it’s made a world of difference. NuColor is friendly, fast, reliable, and they really know what they’re doing. We’re never leaving! I can’t recommend them enough.

Good facility for printing! Today I ordered sone stickers and card. Woman made samples for me, it was much easier too clear out what exactly i wanted. And she was really helpfull, ’cause I’m not familliar with all parameters for my order. My order was ready in a couple hour, and thay made even a bit more copies for me (small thing matters:)).

SAVE YOUR MONEY-DON’T BOTHER… extremely rude.
Went to business, stood at counter for few minutes, was ignored by 4 employees and then walked out, again nothing said.
Few minutes later, one of them The Owner follows me… with the NERVE & BALLS to tell me, I need to have patience & not to bad mouth the place… hilarious.
I will say & do what I want… tell people what they need to know…

I’ved used Nu-​Color for all my printing needs at work for almost 10 years they never disappoint! John and staff are professional, have excellent follow through and are very reliable I wouldn’t think to go anywhere else!

This place ROCKS! Our banner looks fantastic, and they did it in only one day! I was able to simply email our file to them and they were on it. We are so lucky to have this great printing place just around the bend! Highly recommend.

On Friday afternoon, I went to Kinko’s in Studio City to get 130 booklets made for my father’s memorial service. There was no line —but also no one at the full service counter. I waited for 15 min while they handled all the fedex customers on both sides of me, some who had come in after me. They said these customers were a priority because of the 5:30 pm deadline. Finally, and only after complaining to a manager, they got around to me only to say 10 min later that the WORD doc I had on my flash drive was incompatible. 30 minutes totally wasted.
I used Unilocal to find another source within walking distance, which turned out to be Nu-​Color. I walked in just before closing time but Wilson and the others didn’t act put out, and immediately took my order, printed out a perfect proof and told me I could have the order on Saturday morning — even though they are usually closed on Saturday.
The job was done on time, turned out perfectly, and was A LOT less than the price Kinko’s quoted me.
