Employees are friendly and the store is clean for the most part. My usual drinks taste different all the time but they don’t taste terrible. Parking can be a huge issue during the day too

Ordered a coffee travler for a work meeting at 6:45 am they said it would take 15 min to brew so by the time I’d get there it would be ready. Got there at 7:10 they hadn’t even started brewing the coffee. Got my order done at 7:30. While i was standing there next to the frig with the pastries noticed two bugs on the muffins. I used to argue that CBTL was way better then Starbucks but since this happened I won’t step foot in this location. And get this Starbucks doesn’t charge for the coconut milk instead of half and half. Just look at the pictures.

The service was quick and the coffee was wonderful, but one employee in particular made the difference in my experience. I met up with my friend here and when I went to pay for my parking I realized I forgot my wallet(my friend had offered to pay for my coffee ahead of time so I didn’t check if I had my wallet). I talked to Ana, one of the employees, and explained my situation. Without hesitation she offered to cover my parking fee and I am eternally grateful for this random act of kindness. Coffee Bean is lucky to have an employee like Ana.

I am having a hard time understanding why they stop serving decaf coffee at 11 am. Last I checked the store is called COFFEE Bean and Tea Leaf. That would be like if I worked at a clothing store and I told a customer that we stop selling pants at 11 am. So annoying!!!

If you think you might have to use a restroom at some point during your visit, then DON’T GOTOTHISLOCATION — there isn’t one — ridiculous!

Not impressed with this CBTL location. Went to this location for the first time in a while this past Saturday and pretty disappointed. Let’s just say Jesse was the slowest ringer known to man. And he then very un-sympathetically informed me that they don’t «accept» the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf app at this location when I tried to redeem my free drink(the whole reason for my trip there in the first place). I don’t understand the lack of consistency in this area with the CBTL corporation — why do only SOME locations use the app? My thought has always been that, at coffee shops more than most other businesses, speed is of the essence. For this reason, go somewhere else. There was ONE couple in front of me and getting in and out with my two iced lates took me over 10 minutes — that just shouldn’t be the case in any coffee shop.

So today was unusual experience at Coffee Bean. I walk in and to my surprise there is no one inside. Perfect, no long wait time. Well I ordered my Vanilla Latte and Chocolate Croissant. Only to be disappointed that I was given a Mocha Latte and Butter Croissant. So just be mindful when you place an order with a black female with a boy haircut(Sorry, I didn’t catch her name). I don’t see how she got my order wrong, I spoke loudly and there was no music playing. She even repeated the order back to me. Go figure.

I was having a rough morning and decided coffee would be a perfect solution. Everyone at this location has always been lovely, but today I met Ana, who in just a few minutes, managed to turn my day around. She’s not only incredibly helpful, but genuinely nice, which can be hard to find. Coffee Bean, you’re lucky to have her. And Ana, I promise I’ll pay your kindness forward. :)

Awesome staff super friendly. You’ll have to wait if you go in when it’s busy, and it’s worth it. The drinks are great and the have dairy free options if you need it.

Mean Barista, poor customer service. I guess when you are in a great location you don’t have to treat customers with respect. Waited 15 min for drink, it was not made. When everyone behind me in line got their drink, I ask the barista, dude with a red beard, if he was going to make it. He said that I didn’t pay for it in a rude manor. Been going there for years, he didn’t believe me when I said that I paid for it. I had to go back to the cashier to confirm that, yes, I had paid for the drink. I tell Barista, that I was not happy that I was passed over and that was challenged for not paying. Surly Barista makes my drink after five or so minutes. He slams around the metal cups and dashes off my drink in frustration. No apology.

Their smoothies are horrible!!! Tried the pear smoothie and it tasted like PEPTOBISMO… My friend tried the passion fruit and it was beyond disgusting. It took them over 10 minutes to make 2 regular size smoothies and they were not even busy.

First time stopping at this location omw into work. Location is super small and located in a strip mall at corner of Ventura & Laurel Cyn. I was nervous when I first walked in that they would be slow since employees were chatting with each other and customers, and as previously stated the location is small, but this was not the case. I was out of there with my latte in about 5 min… I wanted to write a review directed at the staff this morning. Very friendly for 7 am. The English(I may be wrong) gentleman making my latte engaged me in conversation while I was waiting. I was impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, shout out to you guys! I will be back

I won’t speak to the quality of the coffee or service(both A– OK) but in the 35 minutes I’ve been sitting here, I’ve been approached by two beggars(for lack of a better word) — one rough looking gentleman asking for train fare and another young boy whose mom seemed to put him up to it and an unfortunate woman sitting behind me who kept an ongoing monologue with herself. I do feel sympathy for these down on their luck people and wish them well, but being approached like that constantly doesn’t translate into a relaxing coffee bean experience. My place to go to for a to go coffee, but not my to go place for a hangout.

Normally I love The Coffee Bean franchise but I’m a little bothered by this latest experience. I brought my 9 year old twin girls in for a foo foo vanilla drink that they make that has no caffeine. I think the drink was invented for kids. I get them all the time, here and at Starbucks. I confirmed with the counter person that I was getting drinks suitable for kids and he concurred. After the drinks were made, they had a brown tint to them and the girls said that they tasted different. I asked the guy who made them if they were in fact the vanilla kids drinks and he said«Yes». The girls kept drinking them but I was uneasy so I asked them to stop after a few sips. We threw the drinks away and began to leave and the drink maker said, «You kids all set now that you’re all caffeined out?» Really? You made coffee drinks for 9 year olds when I repeated checked to make sure that it was caffeine free? It’s cool. We went to the park and the girls got it out of their system. It just rubbed me the wrong way. Some parents may give their kids soda filled with caffeine and think this is no big deal. My wife and I don’t. We choose a healthier diet in their upbringing. I still like the product that Coffee Bean makes. This location just needs some updates in their training.

I’m not a coffee drinker, so this review is about the service and tea here. Good service, fast and friendly. I also love the iced half green tea & berry mix, its my staple. Coffee Bean must have good training for their staff, because no matter what they always seem to have a genuine smile on their faces. It has a nice outdoor seating area and who doesn’t love the convenience of their local tea/coffee place. Plus I always seem to bump into people I know and havent seen in years when I go here.

«Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.» For me, that’s my local Coffee Bean! Lourdes, Debi and the gang there treat their customers like royalty. Always with a friendly hello and some nice conversation. It’s a pleasant place to be… I remember the first few times I went to this Coffee Bean I noticed Lourdes saying good morning to each and every customer BYNAME. I thought to myself, she must have a pretty extraordinary memory and then it also occurred to me that these folks must be coming by every day… Now, I totally get it! Not only is the coffee good, but the service is super friendly. It’s almost like stopping by a friend’s house for your cup of morning Joe. My mornings with the Bean are better than my ones without it. I do wish they would brew exclusively organic coffee and teas. Nowadays, it’s just my preference and I’m careful about it. Excellent location if you want to see a friendly face and enjoy a great cup of coffee or tea. :)

I’m not a Coffee Bean fan in the first place. The drinks are way to sweet and leave a gross aftertaste! I much prefer Starbucks for sure. The only reason I ever go to Coffee Bean is because it is right next to work and my boss frequently sends me over there. Aside from the sub-par product, their customer service is pretty terrible. The cashier is almost always rude and a lot of the time isn’t even familiar with the menu. And my goodness are they slow! That’s really the worst of it. Most of the time I’m just picking up coffee for someone else so I don’t care that it tastes bad but I’m not there to hang out… I’m there to get my coffee and go, not listen to the baristas chit chat and dilly dally.

LOVE the Winter Dream Lattes with soy this time of year. The employees are always so nice and cheerful, even with the line is out the door. Great location! Don’t have to wait long for a parking spot! People get their drink and leave.

The coffee at all Coffee Bean locations is fairly consistent and always good. This location, however, stands out among them all. What makes this location different? 1. Customer Service — the employees(especially a particular few ladies) are always super nice and greet me with a good morning/afternoon and a smile. I will frequent a coffee shop with bad coffee and genuinely happy employees any day over the opposite. Fortunately, the coffee is also great here. 2. Neighborhood Feel — This builds on the customer service aspect. The employees know who their regulars are and acknowledge them as such. The lack of a neighborhood coffee shop feel is what usually makes chains not so enjoyable. Not the case here, though. 3. The«little things» — I like dark roast coffee. Yesterday afternoon, I went in to grab a cup. They were out, so they only charged me medium-size price for a large regular coffee. Today, I went in just after opening for a dark roast coffee, but they had not yet brewed any. Remembering that I was unable to get dark roast the previous day as well, they gave me a large cup on the house. On the surface, it appears to be just another Coffee Bean location in just another strip mall. Once inside, though, you will find exceptional employees who are happy and know how to make their customers feel welcome and happy as well. That is priceless. And that’s why I will give this location my business any time that I am able.
