I’m in love with this store! They ALWAYS have that little something I need from Day of the Dead to a Mrs. Clause apron!!! Thank you for being so helpful — you saved me tonight for my students’ winter production and projects!

Love coming in and looking at all the cool craft and gift ideas. Super nice people that have great ideas. I should shop her more often!

Love the people, love the store love the product. Really there isn’t much else to say other then this place is play Candyland for people who like découpage and crafts and fancy letterhead.
There is nowhere else I would rather go to get a funny card, a poignant card or a card it all… than The Paper Source in Studio City.
Least of all is that their classes are absolutely tons of fun, inexpensive and are transferable skills for being the preeminent resident Martha Stewart of whatever city you reside in.

As one of the biggest fans of Paper Source, I often come here. The second I walk into this magical place, it’s hard to leave. I have been to many of their locations however, the Studio City location has an extra special touch. Her name is Sarah A. She is the Head Key Holder and a complete rockstar! She really adds that special touch customizing your experience while shopping here. It’s very obvious that she loves her job, and puts her heart and soul into each person that comes through those doors. Her smile, positive energy and passion lights up the room. I cannot recommend this location enough since you will always have an incredible experience with anyone here, but Sarah is definitely the needle in the haystack when it comes to finding the BEST customer service and employee! Thank you so much Sarah, keep it up doll and I’ll see you soon for more Embossing fun!

I love this place, the originality of the prints of paper and the beautiful, unique cards. It’s just so very expensive and not friendly toward my budget. If it were, I’d probably buy the majority of the store. Great gift ideas, wedding invites samples and hand crafted brilliance. I wish the staff were a little more interested in where they worked considering what their potential is should equate with the creativity of the store. At least ask if people need help.

Wouldn’t wrap a gift for me at 6:05 because it closed at 6:00.

This store would be perfect if it not were for the employees. I had an hour long card making class that was from 5 to 6. My friends were running late so we started at 5:20 thinking that we would have an hour long class. Instead, the woman who was running the class pushed us to wrap up the class at exactly 6. At ten to 6 she was putting our supplies away. I thought it was so rude.
I love all their products but I wish they could get friendlier staff people.

I really wanted to love this store but the two times I came into the studio city location, the customer service was terrible. The cashiers seemed uninterested and irritated when asked for help. They have some cute gift items but so many other places where you can go and feel welcome and cared for as a customer. Next time I will try Papyrus.

They had a decent variety of cute arts & crafts stuff. Even if you go in here not looking for something you will come out with a few things because everything is so cute. It’s a little on the pricey side but all the tools you need to put together a nice hand made card or anything hand made is here. I made a card for my boss so everyone could sign it and have a designated space. I filled in the empty space with more stickers etc.

This review is for the card making class. One of my many new years resolutions is to do something crafty once a month. I was really excited when a friend (shout out to Megan) purchased tickets for us to attend the valentine’s card making class as a gift! We had such a great time! The instructors were great and taught us all about the different types of adhesives, stamping and embossing. We made four different types of cards that turned out really cute! everyone put their own spin on the cards and it was fun to see how a slight variation really changed the outcome of the cards. I feel like this is going to be the start of an expensive crafting habit. :)

Love Paper Source! This location. not so much. I’ve experienced some frustration while dealing with their associates in the past. The only reason I come back if REALLY needed is because it’s close to where I live, otherwise I’ll go to the one in LA.

The store is fun and attractive but I ordered Wedding invites here and the amount of time they said it would take to deliver them was very misleading. They also told me the liners and other accessories would come in a separate package so I could get started on assembling them. Wrong! And they said the proof would arrive in 2 – 3 days and it took 5. They also did not inform me the would come Fed Ex and someone would need to actually sign for the package. Don’t they realize some people work? Would have arranged for them to be shipped to a work address if I had known.
Just make sure if you order printed invites to allow yourself at least 6 weeks to receive them. Wish I had known that.

I can’t get enough of Paper Source! But especially this location. I’ve been going here about once a week for almost a year (not joking) because I was planning my wedding. I made my bridal shower invitations, décor, wrapping paper, etc. here. I literally get everything here. Stamps, birthday cards, gifts… I mean I can keep going.
The employees are fabulous. They all know me by name, and are always excited to ask about what project I will be doing at the time. The genuinely care. They are so helpful and always answer any questions I have.
I found my new home.

Paper Source is one of my favorite stores. I wish people didn’t email/​facebook/​skype as much so I’d be able to send proper paper letters. They have beautiful stationary, wrapping paper, cards, gifts, etc here! Customer service is lacking, and unless you’re looking for a large purchase (ie wedding menus) it seems to be pretty nonexistent until you get to the register.

I adore this Paper Source location. The staff is super friendly and always willing to answer questions and demo products. The free parking in the back of the store makes my lunchtime supply runs easy.
In the last 6 months, this store successfully supplied all of the paper, ink, stamps, embossing powder, and envelopes for my wedding.

HELLO SNOB CITY!
I walked in knowing I was going into a ‘pretentiouspapercraftstoreforwomenwithcraftroomsi­ntheirhouse’, but gheez, no hello!
I continue to search around for the perfect ‘thank you’ cards and other bits of stationary, like I always do. No one helped me, nope, not one.
I did, however, snag a few things in the discount pile located in the very back of the store. Cashier lady said to me «yknow this paper has a hole in it?» uh yeah, you cut around it. Way to be resourceful there, ladies!
I’ll continue to go to my personal favorite, less-​snobby paper store, Urbanic in Venice.

For a craft nerd like me, going to Paper Source is my idea of a good time. I love paper. Sue me. And everything is SOOOO pretty here it’s not even fair! My wallet doesn’t stand a chance.
They carry unique and gorgeous cards, invitations, stationary, calendars, gift wrap, journals, rubber stamps, ribbon and other crafty goodies as well as cute little gifts. I can barely contain myself! It may not be cheap, but did I mention it’s pretty? Customer service definitely needs some work, but overall my experiences at most locations have been pleasant. I have no shame in my paper game and I’m always down for a Paper Source visit!

I’m an avid craft nerd. It is something I am proud of. Although I’m not that into scrap-​booking, a craft store specializing in paper still brings me elevated levels of pleasures. Unfortunately, Paper Source is a prime example of a great concept but with poor execution.
Exhibiting scrapbook paper, initiations, rubber stamps, letters/​stencils, scissors/​like supplies, and other random goodies such as owl aprons and little books; Paper Source has a very esthetically pleasing establishment. Assuredly, you can find anything you need for your craft paper needs here. Plus, Paper Source also features personalized invitation services where you look through a catalog to pick each facet of your invites: paper, font, colors, illustrations, etc. The major downside is the prices. Paper Source is much too expensive with most of the materials also available at far cheaper prices at Michael’s. I saw products which I could create by hand (and better) at crazy-​high prices. They must have a large overhead. So apparently, you need a large wallet.
As for service? This is definitely a place where the other Unilocal reviews are spot-​on. Paper Source’s «pretty» offerings are completely contradicted by its service. I walked into a store with only one other customer and yet there were 3 associates on duty. You would think that they could thus ask if I needed help or at least greet me. Did they? No. The three employees stood around the counter talking/​gossiping and never acknowledging me, my boyfriend, or the other customer. Yet, the second it was near closing time, an employee suddenly appears to make sure we know they are about to close. Oh really Mr. Employee? You stood around doing absolutely no work but you are anxious to go home to continue to not do any work? Awesome!
Paper Source isn’t really worth much but being pretty on the eyes. Overpriced and with crappy service; you are better off going to Michael’s.
