This place just knocks it out of the park on every level. The storefront’s a bit nondescript, but once you get in the ambiance is actually quite nice for a sub/pizza shop. And good god it smells incredible. Food is great, Blue Buffalo could use a bit more buffalo(but I always say that). I’ll be asking next time.

Relative to other Pizza joints, I thought CJs does a pretty good job with respect to their pizza. The toppings are of higher quality and the menu is a little different which is welcomed after visiting a lot of pizza joints that seemingly have the exact same menu. As far as the pizza is concerned, I found the flavors to be very pleasing. The sauce seemed fresh and the crust was light and seemed to enhance the overall pizza flavor. To be critical, however, they put too much cheese on their pizzas. The crust to cheese ratio needs to be preserved properly. The cheese is good, but after throwing down a couple of slices, the richness of the cheese gets in the way of wanting more. Also, though I enjoyed the crust, I recognized that the pizza got soggy quick, which was a little bit of a downer. Still, this place is one of the better pizza places around here. Now, if CJs were in NYC, my review would be a little different.

Friendly service. Family friendly menu and seating. The food is consistently good. I recommend the drilled chicken sub.

I’ve only had the pizza and chicken fingers so far but both were very good. The service was friendly as well. I look forward to trying more from their menu!

This location is very good because there’s a little traffic jam up ahead of it and I often get hungry enough to pull over. They have a beautifully done menu, and the people who work there are super friendly. They always have pizza slices ready to be eaten, that are fabulous and lots of chips and drinks and desserts ready for Takeaway. Plenty of choices for vegetarians, and plenty for meat eaters. I’ve had three different subs there and they’ve all been among the best I’ve ever had. The bathroom is very clean and the entire place is inviting and just a great spot for having lunch or snack.

I’ve only had their buffalo chicken pizza, but it was pretty damn good. I particularly like the fact that they put pickled peppers on it and give you blue cheese dipping sauce. I’ve had better pizza crust, but this pizza overall is one to try if you’re in the area and not too picky with details.

I didn’t expect this square(literally) suburban Mass. pizza to be any good. I came back twice. Fabulous both times.

Surprisingly great slice. Driving through town and felt like a slice. Was in a rush so just grabbed plain slice. For just over $ 2,it was huge loaded with perfectly melted cheese. I typically don’t have high expectancies for slices bur this was excellent. I’ll be back to try the menu.

CJ’s is great and the people working there are very friendly. They need to staff up for busy times instead of just taking the phone off the hook and offer delivery.

Tried a Large Broccoli pizza tonight. Liked it. Thin crust. Adding it to my top 5 list in the Sudbury/North-Framingham, East-Marlborough area, behind Gianni’s and Makkas. Ahead of Rossini’s. Odd that a start-up pizza place has no website.

Greetings, Unilocalers. I’ve been strangely silent lately. I’ve been staying in the small town of Sudbury recently due to ear problems. Odd as it may sound, I developed an infection in my right ear and Swimmer’s Ear in my left(totally unrelated to each other). I am currently staying with a dear, old friend who is caring for me, putting in drops, driving me to appointments, etc. One day, on the way back from the doctors, I got in the mood for pizza. I whipped out my phone and fired up my good, old Unilocal app and found the 5-star-rated CJ’s was very close. I figured it had to be good, after all it had 5-stars(I now suspect that all eight of the reviewers are either close friends or family). There is NOWAY this place is worth 5-stars. I don’t accept it. My pal and I ordered a large cheese pie to share and I decided to get a chicken parm for myself. First, let’s talk about the pizza. It was okay. On the level of your basic Pizza Hut. If I had only eaten the pizza that day, I would have probably given CJ’s two or three stars. However, I can say without exaggeration, the chicken parm sub was the worst I have ever ordered in my entire life. I find myself still feeling a bit upset about it as I write this review. The chicken wasn’t breaded. Come on? Really? A chicken parm and it’s not breaded? The chicken had a gummy texture, almost as it it were steamed or boiled. Is this a joke, CJ? I mean, after all, you have«grill» right in your name! The bread was drenched in mediocre tomato sauce, and, worst of all, there was no melted cheese. WHAT??? Maybe I’m being too hard on CJ’s. After all, I shouldn’t call this the worst chicken parm I’ve ever eaten, because it wasn’t even chicken parm! Obviously, none of those 5-star«reviewers» ordered what I did . What a disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been craving some good pizza lately and I’ve found the place! Nothing else to say except for, give them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

A great addition to the neighborhood, especially when takeout is not close-by in the thriving metropolis known as Sudbury. My wife is pregnant and being able to pick up a hot pepperoni and mushroom pie makes me a hero in our house. They also make a tasty Caesar salad and buffalo wings. I have not tried the subs but most of the time they only need about 15 minutes for pickup and the folks at the counter are friendly. We love CJ’s in this house!

Awesome subs. Friendly staff, great location in north Sudbury. Pizza is Greek style which is not my favorite.

FINALLY some good pizza in Sudbury at a regular price! Have been here a few times for take-out and, so far, absolutely no complaints. Clean, friendly and great food. Going back tonight!

First of all, thank you CJ’s for coming to Sudbury. I’ve lived here for over 10 years and have been waiting for a neighborhood casual restaurant with varied, reasonably priced and high quality food to arrive. We’ve been here 4 times already and haven’t been disappointed. The menu is daunting, which is good. It’s not just a pizza and sub shop(though I’ve had three of the former and one of the latter). My other half, who is one of those ‘salad-lovers’, gives her CJ salads very high marks. Plus the salad looks to be truly dinner sized. As to the pizza, it reminds me of my benchmark for great pizza, Route 1’s Prince Pizza(for you North Shore types)…thin crust, great sauce, loads of cheese. Excellent. I need a great pizza place close to home and now I have it. The staff is always friendly and helpful, even when they are busy. They do have a handful of tables, but I think of CJ’s as that local, go-to, take-out place when you want to grab something fast and good. Yes there are good places on Rt 20, but until now, nothing in this part of town that lets me get the food home and eat it while it’s still hot. It could take me quite awhile to work through their menu. Looking forward to it.

Hubby had the small chicken alfredo pizza and I had the veggie calzone(takeout). We both loved the dough, the cheese was«real» and my pizza sauce was perfect(not too sweet, lots of flavor). And I loved the marinara sauce. We have leftovers for at least tomorrow, if not Sunday. Friendly staff. Small restaurant, probably best for takeout. They have lots of veggie options AND vegan pizza! Yay!

Great new spot in Sudbury; already been twice since it opened. The tuna wrap was pretty good, and my boyfriend’s buffalo chicken sub was all sorts of goodness. It is undoubtedly of the better in the area(he gets them everywhere). Trip #2 the creature of habit had, you guessed it… the buffalo chicken sub. To fill my pizza craving I had a small pizza– PERFECT size for one and great price point! Fresh tasting, quality ingredients(I did a create your own) with so many topping/sauce/ingredient/even«drizzle»! choices. Pizza was not greasy at all, just the right amount of dough without being too heavy, and just overall a great, great pizza. Staff is friendly, and prices are on point. I’m thinking this place is too small(not enough seats) for the popularity and demand it’s going to create for a great take-out(or quick dine-in) spot in the area. Looking forward to adding CJ’s into my take-out rotation.
