Zilan Landscape Design

Incredibly, incredibly disappointing.
Last summer, I e-​mailed several landscapers who had ads posted on Craigslist, and Zilan was the only one who actually got back in touch with s. The job we needed done was pretty small, so I suspect the other landscapers didn’t want to even bother…
At first, I was pleased with the customer service I received from Ansu the landscaper. Prompt, courteous e-​mails; on time for the estimate; and able to complete the job that coming week. Sounds great…
I explained that I was looking to have our beds cleaned up and filled with bright, colorful flowers – a mixture of annuals and perrenials. I arrived home from work, super-​excited to see my pretty, colorful flower beds, and was jaw-​droppingly disappointed. A few day lilies, a handful of petunias, and some wildflower-​esque brushy plant. TOTALLY not what I had requested. On the plus side, the mulch was a nice medium-​shade of brown. I liked the mulch.
A few days later, the petunias all died. I called to let him know. He came back, pulled the dead plants out of the dirt, and replaced them with some other (non-​colorful) potted plants. He planted the plants in their plastic cups. Ridiculous.
Long story short, I paid my invoice on time and included with it a note expressing my overall disappointment. Given the spattering of flowers – and the fact that a number of them weren’t even planted in the ground – I wrote my check for 20% less than I was invoiced, explained my reasonings, and asked him to get in touch if he had any questions or concerns.
Never heard back. Would never recommend.
