History

Established in 1920.

This historical mansion was once home to Amedeo and Louise Obici. The property was once known as Bay Point Farms and is now Sleepy Hole Golf Course. Amedeo, an Italian immigrant, was the founder of the Planters Peanuts. The Obici legacy lives on with the Obici hospital and healthcare foundation in Suffolk, VA.

The home is attributed to being finished in the 1920’s and is Italianate in style. Original chandeliers, hardwood floors, greek columns marble entrance and spectacular views if the Nansemond River are a stunning setting for celebrations of every kind.
