Great place to go for happy hour. Cheap drinks and consistently good bar food. I would refrain from ordering the beer on tap. It’s rumored that the lines haven’t been changed since the joint opened(gross). You can tell the draft beer has an «off» taste about it. I have tried ordering an ice cold Shiner a number of times and each time it’s undrinkable. They do have decent live music but it’s so loud that you literally have to set on the opposite side of the bar to enjoy it. If your in Town Center it’s an average place to enjoy a drink.

My husband and I love this place! From the $ 1 mimosas on Sunday’s to the Sheperds pie and all things in between. The staff is always friendly and fast and the atmosphere is great for football. You won’t be disappointed here.

Great atmosphere, food is great– normal bar food and an extended menu. The patio is usually full but if you can get a spot it’s a great weekend or weeknight hang out and you can definitely get some people watching in while you relax. They also have XRated which is not typical so that is what earned them their 4 stars. Wait staff can be hit or miss but in general they are very accommodating!

I thought I’d update my review since the old one was 4 years old and I was recently there. My feelings regarding Town Centre in general is still the same — that it’s too cookie cutter/fake and not organically built like Houston’s Montrose, or old Austin neighborhoods, but on the plus side, it is a decent enough bar if you live near Sugar Land or are visiting someone there. I guess there is a time and place for everything and mediocrity has its place as well. I mean this as a positive actually. Sometimes you don’t want to fight traffic and getting hassled with parking. Sometimes you don’t want to pay $ 10 for a well drink and deal with bouncers. Sometimes you just want to relax and have a drink or a quick bite and that’s where this place shines. Also on the plus side, there is no more smoking allowed inside and they do have an all day happy hour on Sunday.

Truly a one star experience. We were staying at the Marriott a few doors down for a wedding and came in with a big group looking to spend a good amount of money and have a fun time. They made sure to live up to their one star experience as soon as we stepped foot on the patio. Not only would they not let the mother of the bride in without an ID even though she was clearly over 21, the door man was incredibly rude and even brought the manager to deal with this very intimidating middle age woman(what a power move). We decided to go in and give the other staff a second chance. Once again they made sure not to exert themselves past a one star. The bartender told off my female cousin(disrespecting women is where these guys gain their 5 stars) we quickly took our group of 50 to blu, the bar down the street where we had a great night. Don’t waste your time on Baker Street. I’m surprised an establishment like this is allowed in such a beautiful area.

Went there on St. Patrick’s day specifically for Scotch Eggs and a Guinness. Their web site menu shows scotch eggs but I was told that they have removed them from the menu. Server didn’t know why. Then, they served the Guinness in a Plastic Cup!!! Asked the server about this and he said«because of St. Patrick’s day they are concerned about glass breakage; normally it is served in an actual glass. This is a classic case of a place that is not preserving their brand. I won’t be going back.

I had no problems with the bar staff as they were attentive and relatively nice. I came here for the first time with a friend of mine last night and we had a good time. That was until some drunk guy got offended about me not knowing who he was(apparently I should’ve, I think he said his name was Chris?) and after that he kept harassing me about it and calling me names(mostly ***hole) in front of everyone. I tried to make peace with him twice in front of bar staff and he still insisted on being mean to me. Instead of kicking him out, one employee was threatening to kick me out, even though I was keeping to myself when he approached me twice. The manager got involved and he seemed nice but the other employee seemed biased and was getting after me for sticking up for myself. That turned the night sour and had it not been for that experience, I would’ve had a great time. Everyone around him kept excusing him, saying he was too drunk and he’s normally not like that. Well, if he was that drunk, shouldn’t he had been cut off and told to go home? I don’t think I will be back because if they’re going to allow a regular to run amuck and harass newcomers just because they«know» him, that is not a place I feel respected and valued as a customer or a person. Too bad, really, because I really liked that place. Bartenders were awesome, drink prices were good, they were quick with drink orders. It’s quite unfortunate.

Great atmosphere. The bartenders are the slowest. I came last night and waited 10 minutes before service. Back tonight and they are all walking around like zombies.

I was a loyalist of the Rice Village Baker Street Régime. When it closed my heart broke. I watched UH win like champions with a gorgeous gal next to me. That is the memory that I will keep of Baker St. Rice Village. RIP. I’m currently sitting outside day drinking at the Sugar Land location. This place has a nice interior, with the trademark nostalgic feel that I’ve come to expect and appreciate. Maybe it’s the day, the gin, or a combination, but this place is very welcoming atmosphere. The staff are courteous, polite, and attentive. I generally show up during happy hour 2 – 9. As far as I know, it is the best happy hour in the lovely city of Houston, Texas. This may become part of my routine on Flex Fridays.

Service really sucks. I came here with my boyfriend. No one is here to greet you when you walk in. You have to ask for menus, etc. we waited for almost an hour and our order still had not been taken so we are leaving after one drink and no food. Also, this place ran out of champagne for mimosas. You’d think a place with a bar would be well stocked but I guess not. We are both fed up and upset with the service. The bartender spent her time tending to the drunk customers. Would not recommend. I would give 0 stars if I could. We left and went to World of Beer, which is amazing by the way

Was originally going to eat at Jupiter but it was a long wait so came with my family to this place instead. The waitress just did her job serving wise and taking our order but she wasn’t really enthusiastic or offered a service to remember. I orded the Belgian waffle with cream and strawberries it looked amazinh but the taste was okay. Nothing remarkable. I grabbed a few french fries from my brothers plate those were amazing. And my cousin gave me some of her ribs those were super tasty so I would go back just to eat some ribs but not really a place I would recommend to someone.

Walked in on a rainy afternoon and simply asked for a Irish coffee with whip cream. The waitress informed us they do not carry whip cream. After asking the bartender and manager how it is possible for a bar of their magnitude to not have whip cream the bartender grabbed a can from her frig then threw it across the room into the ice bend after rolling her eyes. All three staffers were extremely rude and never offered us our drinks so we walked out. Good news is we went across the store to Aura Brasserie and got the best Irish coffee we have ever had!!!

Not recommended due to poor and impersonal service. Went for dinner, place was nearly empty, unlike most places we passed. Asked for a local IPA and menu. Bartender brought one, insisting on taking a credit card up front. 30 minutes in, never came back to take our order. Too busy talking to the«regulars». Paid for overpriced beer which was never even identified and went elsewhere for dinner.

Came here with high hopes of English pub fare. From the get go we were disappointed, it took about 15 minutes for someone to come over and we still had to ask for menus. My husband had the shepherd’s pie and I had the beer battered«award winning» fish, We also started with potato skins. The potato skins took about 15 – 20 minutes to come out and we’re lack luster, soft and greasy. The shepherds pie was not enjoyable, the fish tasted like and had the texture of frozen filets, not enjoyable either. The 2nd waitress WAS very nice(she jumped in when she saw that we still had not had our orders taken after about 25 – 30 minutes of being there) but service was slow. It was musty in there but I didn’t experience a smoke smell like others have reviewed about. All in all we will not be back. If you went for just beer and sat at the bar MAYBE you’d be OK. Food, not so much…

Some best buds and I ventured her for some Friday after work, pre-dinner libations. Clearly the smoke bothers some people but as a person who will indulge in a little social puffing from time to time, it doesn’t bother me unless it’s just super strong blowing in my face type of environment and this is not. If you’re overly sensitive to smoke, might not be the spot for you. We ordered the spinach dip and chips. I STRONGLY suggest you pass this up. It’s not worth even half the overly inflated price tag and frankly it’s just nasty! Service was ok, can’t complain. The drinks were decent though a bit pricey. I believe I indulged on the watermelon corona-rita, if that’s not what its called, it’s close enough to what it was. Very enjoyable… The music is not really my style and I’m open to a lot of genres so that’s saying a lot. Overall it’s an ok spot for an hour or so before you move on…
