My wife and I took three of our school age grandchildren to breakfast here today – breakfast tacos, pancakes etc. The food and the service were both excellent. A fun time, good food and at a reasonable price.

Breakfast buffet is amazing! Omlets made in front of you, Eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, English muffins, tortillas, beans(yum!), salsa(yum), biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls(yum!), selection of fruits, delicious flavors of coffee. Only two complaints: French toast was undercooked and grits had too much butter. Adult $ 12, kids under 5 years was $ 5.95.

Very happy to find a great new place for DELICIOUS burgers, salads, tacos(BIG) & chicken. Everything is made fresh daily The portions were large and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. My Patty Melt was huge & had grilled onions, cheese on Texas Toast with fries $ 9.95 Bottle beer & soda station is available. For those just wanting water, they have lemon & lime wedges available as well as mint leaves. Open atmosphere with booths, 4 person tables and a few picnic tables. They also have an outside patio. EXCELLENTSERVICE! I understand they are under new management. Senior discounts available.

Great food. Good service. Fair prices. Try their specialty margaritas better than most high end restaurants

I called in an order for pick up. I used the menu online to decide what I wanted. I ordered the lean turkey burger. During the call the cashier didn’t mention the total of my order which was slightly strange to me but he informed me how long until my order was ready. Once I arrived the cashier said my total was $ 16 and some change. I stated to him I ordered the turkey burger he then replied with the side salad. Not once did I mention on the phone that I wanted any sides even declined the fries when he asked if I wanted to add them during the call. The cashier then I assume was editing my order and then stated my total was $ 11.80. I looked at him puzzled. And waited for the receipt to print out being that I like facts and not to take anyone’s word for things. I was charged a cheese skeeter and had to pay extra to put a turkey patty in place of the beef patty. Once I reviewed the receipt being I had left out the store I called and ask to speak with management whom did nothing when I stated why would I be charged for a turkey patty when I ordered using the menu online that has a lean turkey burger that is the pricing of the other burgers. I was told that the menu online is old and that is the way they ring out turkey burgers. I hung up the phone being that is was at this point pointless. This isn’t the first time I’ve ordered from this place but will definitely be the last being that my order is incorrect almost every time and the breakfast will make you sick because they cook it on the stove where they cook all the other greasy food. I wouldn’t give the place any stars but I had to in order to write the review.

Looking at all the reviews posted before mine, I have to say that I’m a bit surprised and baffled at the low ratings for this Skeeter’s location. My husband and I have been coming here for dinner at least once every few months for the last year. We love that it’s simple, no fuss food at a decent price without much of a wait! I like to get the Classic Skeeter burger here, hold the onion and mayo. I also usually make it a basket and add frings or fries to it– ends up being about $ 8-$ 9. My husband likes their fish tacos(fried, sauce on the side), and we both love their queso. The food is usually pretty consistent, but on our last visit, the queso was a little too cheesy and thick for my taste. The fresh tomato salsa that it comes with is always tasty, though! A great place to bring the family– lots of seats and the food is served fast!

This was my first time visiting this establishment and will be my last. I’ve never been talked to or treated in such a manner and will let all my friends in the Sugarland area know how nasty I was treated by the«manager» on duty. His attitude must be why it was so scarce with patrons. The first problem was that I received a gift card from a patient and wanted to try this place out. I decided to go today and was unable to check what denomination was on the card online. Since my time was limited for lunch, I decided to take a chance. If it was going to take too long then I planned to come another day. I got here approximately around 12:45 and needed to be back for 1:30. The young lady working the cash register was very friendly and tried to scan the card to find out how much was available. She was unable to find out so she called the manager over. He comes over being very accusatory like I knew this was an older card and maybe he thought I was trying to get over on someone. This was how he made me feel and I didn’t appreciate it. He stated the gift card was one that hasn’t been used for 6 months. I stated to him it was given to me as an office gift and I don’t know how much was put on the card. When I receive gift cards, I don’t ask the giver how much they put on it. That’s rude and unappreciative. He stated he would have to call the corporate office to find out. I said oh this is great and exhaled loudly. He proceeds to tell me that I need to calm down and tells me again that he has to call the corporate office. I stated to him again: you have told me that already and you’re still up here arguing with a customer when I have said my lunch time is limited. Is this how you treat all of your customers? If so maybe that’s why hardly anyone is in here. He was determined that he would get the last word. Who does that nowadays??? He was nasty in front of other customers as well. I don’t have to choose to spend my money here and I guarantee that I won’t be back and will let the patient know who bought all of these gift cards for our office of 20 people. Im sure she would want to spend her money for appreciation gifts somewhere that her friends will be appreciated. I’m a 47 year old woman and have never had a manager of an establishment speak to me in such a nasty and condescending manner. Whoever owns this business better get him some customer service classes quickly before he sabotages your business. The burger was fried hard and very unpalatable. I could’ve gotten a better burger and quality customer service at a fast food joint. I’m disappointed with Skeeter’s and will not be back on my dime. With over 4000 people losing their jobs at BP today, maybe this manager thinks he’s irreplaceable. I bet one of those workers could do a better job than him any day and would be appreciative of having a job. Customer service and people skills, this guy gets a ZERO!!! MANAGERSDONOTARGUEWITHCUSTOMERSATANYTIME. My meal should’ve been comped because of his nasty, rude mistreatment, but I can’t lie, I wouldn’t have returned again if it had been. If you get off to being spoken to and argued with like you’re a disobedient child, this is the place for you. And I wouldn’t give this place one star, I only did so I could post my complaint. Good Luck Skeeter’s. The only one who knows how to treat a customer was the young lady working the cash register with braces. If she’s reading this as well, young lady please find yourself another job. You were the only one who treated me with respect and dignity.

I would not recommend this place. The southwest salad with grilled chicken costs $ 11.75. It comes with about 4 small cubes of chicken, a couple small chunks of tomato and avocado and a small spoonful black beans. It was basically a bowl of greens. Miguel the manager said it is 3oz of chicken. Flavor was ok. They brought out the wrong salad first and asked to see my receipt when I insisted on receiving what I ordered. Maybe the burgers are good. Take the other stuff off the menu if you can’t make it right. Poor customer service.

The meat in my son’s fajita taco was scanty and un-chewable. They supplied a steak knife for the fajita taco — guys, if the customer has to deconstruct the taco, take all the meat out and cut it into teeny tiny itty bitty pieces to be swallowed without any possibility of chewing them, something’s not right with that fajita. Fruit served on the side was flavorless. I ordered cheese fries and they undercooked the french fries by a long shot. My husband’s enchiladas were edible but very bland. The mesquite-fire grill visible from the cash register looked interesting and there are a lot of burgers on the menu, but based on the way fajita meat was poor quality, sliced too big and cooked way past its useful life, I would not order a burger. Also, for on the amount of food we got, everything was way overpriced. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. So I would say if you don’t care about prices, you like your meat very very«well done» and you stay away from the cheese fries, you will enjoy your meal.

Went for the Sunday breakfast buffet. Nasty attitudes from the staff, and the only tasty food item was the bacon. No thanks…

The food here always tastes very good, so I will give it 4 stars for that. They log grill with mesquite gives the food a unique flavor which you can’t get anywhere else in the area. Definitely stands out over many Tex-Mex restaurants However, they are quite inconsistent with their side dishes, many times giving barely any rice and a plate full of onions and pepper. Their portion sizes often vary too; sometimes I get a tiny piece of chicken other times I don’t. I tnink that their menu is definitely over priced for what they serve. While the place is unique, a casual family restaurant like this shouldn’t be more expensive than black walnut at town center… Though, what threw me off the edge today was their«happy hour». Happy hour for what? Specific dishes? Drinks? What prices? The board doesn’t provide even basic details. Upon figuring out that it was indeed for the drinks, we learned that of the margaritas, only their«house margarita» was part of the special. One large house margarita then. Guess what? No special. Honestly the drink is good and cheap enough to not be bothered by the price, but the fact that they refused to acknowledge the special pricing because apparently the«large» wasn’t considered a «house margarita» is appaling and plain dishonest. We literally ordered a «large house margarita». At the moment I feel that this establishment was just a huge fraud and am extremely displeased by this. Nothing is worse than a dishonest business. All in all, Skeeters is just, okay. 3 stars.

My first visit here. tucked away in a strip mall across from First Colony Mall. The Manager was very helpful in describing menu items to me. Order at counter, self serve drinks and food delivered to table by a bus boy with dirty towels hanging off his body. not a pretty(or sanitary) sight. The burger was hot, juicy and delicious! But again with the soggy limp greasy mound of fries. The fry oil tasted old but the burger was so filling I really didn’t eat the fries. They also serve breakfast daily and offer a large selection of salads, tacos, sammies and burgers. Nice clean restrooms.

I came here for the breakfast buffet on a Sunday morning, and it was great! Coffee(good coffee too) eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage(not breakfast sausage, like BBQ sausage) French toast, waffles, pancakes, tamales(that’s different!) and really fresh fruit are all on the buffet line! The real treat is the omelet bar! You pick your ingredients and the nice lady prepares it for you on the spot. Super tasty! I walked away super stuffed and satisfied! And for 13 bucks(beverage included) it’s a pretty good deal too.

I came for the all you can eat breakfast buffet with all my coworkers this morning 8am. I was so happy seeing all that bacon! There’s also someone making omelette for you at the front of buffet line. Taking two stars off because some of the eating utensils were so dirty and sticky, and coffee was also too cold, also no one really picked up the plates after we went up for seconds.

This is the second time I’ve gotten takeout here and I doubt I’ll bother again. Had to repeat order multiple times, loudly. When I got the food, it was meh. Chicken sandwich was pretty good quality chicken and pretty tasty, but I think they emptied the salt shaker into it. Fries were soggy and not tasty. Onion rings were fairly decent. Hubby’s Skeeter’s Skewer was completely unacceptable — had no chicken, no beef. He said there was one piece of meat that looked like sausage. Otherwise it was just vegetables. For $ 10.95.

Picked up to go food for lunch one day. Mom got the cheeseburger and fries, I got a grilled chicken salad and my great aunt got the healthy chicken dinner. Mom’s burger started to get pink in the middle and she did not like the fries, which is odd because we are fry people. She was not pleased and couldn’t finish it. My salad was not worth the $ 9.75. It was small and the toppings were minimal. My great aunt had no complaints. We figure if we ever go back we will get tacos or something, which sucks because this place used to be very good. I don’t know what happened.

It’s a nice little cheap Mexican food place. A lot better than Taco Bell, a little better than Taco Cabana and not as good as Lupe Tortilla. Order at the counter, get your own drinks and utensils and go pick up your tray when they call your number. Cheap chunky queso, super thin chips, pretty hot salsa and decent guac. The shrimp taco was pretty good. Nothing special. Blueprint: Tempura fried shrimp, green cabbage mix, avocados, with creamy chipotle sauce. Nice breading, decent sized shrimp and plenty of crisp slaw. I’d order it again. The tortillas are supposedly made there. They were a bit thin and got soggy in the taco sauce stuff. At about $ 5 a pop I’ll take Torchy’s Tacos any day. $ 7 for a basic burger, $ 9 for a salad and combo plates starting at $ 9. I’m not sure it’s really worth the money for the average food you get. They do have beer and a nice happy hour price on margaritas — $ 3. They have a kids menu all at $ 4.50 but they are combo’d with either fries or fruit. Includes soft drink. I’m not a super fan… there are better values at better places. But for what it was it was a decent meal.

I didn’t know what to expect coming here. You order at the counter. There are no printed menus just a big menu at the counter. If you don’t know what you want… you might feel kind of rushed with the cashier just awkwardly staring back at you while you’re trying to skim the menu. BF ordered the deluxe nachos while I just opted for a baja fish taco. Everything here is self served. When your order is ready, someone on the microphone calls out your order number. Be sure to keep your receipt! The nachos were really good but it’s probably because we were hungry. The chips were really thin and crisp but could hardly hold on to the queso or the ground beef. Then when you try to dip your chip in the scoops of guacamole or sour cream, your chip suddenly breaks. That’s when it starts getting messy! The queso was really watered down and unfortunately I wanted more since they were skimpy on that and even the beef. The baja fish taco was surprisingly good. It was fried perfectly and the amount of fish was generous. Two tacos would have made a satisfying meal alone. Looking around, mostly everyone had burgers. Maybe that’s what they’re known for?
