Benchmark RV Center

Edi, has handled my repairs and he’s excellent. He can eyeball damage and come up with a ballpark figure pretty quickly. Their execution is fantastic — the rig turns out better than it was (to be fair, my rig is a 2000 so it could use a bit of TLC).
My two experiences:
— Having my rig crunched by a drunk driver. The repairs were extensive, totaling a bit under $ 20k and these guys did a beautiful repair job. Any parts that were not available were recreated in house including a lot of fiberglass and steel work, and they rebuilt the electrical cabinet and contents. As I saw the work coming along and looking so good, I asked them to make some other smaller repairs and they were all perfect.
— Having a tire blow out while on the highway. Mine is a class A so if you know about these big tires, you know they do a significant amount of damage in just the few seconds it takes to drop from 60mph to the side of the road. After Benchmark fixed it up, it’s as good as new.
I’m really psyched to have these guys as a go-​to for whatever needs to be done (they’re replacing my starter batteries and taking care of some paint issues right now).
In my experience, Edi improves the reputation of the RV repair industry.

This facility is OK for RV storage but they don’t seem able to perform simple repairs. I’ve had three small but annoying issues and had to go to Camping World because Benchmark couldn’t (or wouldn’t) do these minor jobs. Honestly, if I had the tools and inclination I could have made the fixes myself so surely they could have done. Maybe they hold out for bigger moneymaking repairs? Mike is very cooperative but doesn’t seem to be around much. They are very reliable about getting the rig ready for pickup, i.e. Moving it to an accessible location.

I have enjoyed the RV services provided by Benchmark for several years. They provide storage services for my RV, including excellent ²⁴⁄₇ security. You can trust that your RV will be carefully stored, if you need any prep services for that next RV adventure they provide them–
The drop off of your vehicle is available ²⁴⁄₇ also.
Most importantly as a new RV owner Eddie and the owners have always provided informative and courteous services.
Folks complain about paying for costly repairs and service – well you get what you pay for… if you want cheap go elsewhere and get bad service and watch what happens to your RV investment!

Great service, all Team Members are knowledgeable of what the customer needs. I will definitely go back. My toy hauler was sending the trailer fault message to my truck. 1^st, I changed the plug from my truck and it kept reading trailer faulty, then the guys and bench mark changed the tip of my toy hauler power and still was sending the faulty signal to my truck. Then the last thing they did was to check on my breaks connection and the found that most of the cables were burned out, so they replaced them. When they did a final check on the breaks, man I couldn’t believe how good the toy hauler breaks work and the annoying beeping in the truck was gone. Thank You Guys for taking care of that and the way was done .
I will definitely take my hauler back for maintenance.

Called here to get a quote on having one day night shade in my RV repaired. Here’s how it went:
3 to 4 hours to remove it and repair it at $ 130 an hour. $ 20 part kit. So in reality that would be $ 540! Are you kidding me? I am still laughing.
Five screws total remove it the blind!
I called around and was quoted $ 75 (total) at one place and $ 120 (total) at another.

it’s all about customer service. i would have paid the enormous and ridiculous price quote, but your customer service SUCKS. i will never do business with you

We feel so fortunate to have Benchmark do all the maintenance on our Country Coach. We work with Eddy, but all the people have been wonderful. We also appreciate all the times you steered Mel in the right direction In both telling him what work had to be done and advising him against what wasn’t needed.
On Monday morning my husband was driving our coach to Benchmark to get a new water pump installed. On the way, our coach caught on fire. Thank God my husband made it out just in time. We called Eddy and he called a towing service to bring it over to Benchmark. We all knew it was totaled; however he had us tow it over to him so he can meet with all the insurance people. This is very much in the spirit of helping us with no gain for himself. I want to emphasize the fire started in an area that was never worked on by Benchmark.
Hopefully we will be able to buy another coach. I promise you no other company will work on our coach, assuming we don’t run into trouble while traveling. Eddy, Mel and I can’t thank you enough for all you have done and are continuing to do to take some of the pressure off of us. You are the best and so are the other people working in the company.

Found them as an authorized dealer for Aqua Hot. we also needed out step fixed. we called in ahead and got right in. the owner gave much personal attention, was as interested in teaching as he was in making money. the servicemen were efficient and continually shared their progress with us as well as offering more understanding of our systems. we were on the road before 10 am.
this place is also a well guarded, fenced in storage facility. We arrived in the late afternoon and were given electric and stayed in their facilities with no charge.

Hold the phone here. Some of the reviews are about attitude and not service. I have had my 38′ Holiday Rambler there for 3 years now. Nothing but helpful service. I don’t really expect to be worshiped or intertained by them. We have stored at several places around the west coast and I can tell you, 24 hour access, valet parking, putting my cover on for me, servicing the propane for me, one stop service is hard to find. Paul at the gate is always pleasant to deal with after hours. Eddy is very knowledgeable, but short and to the point. I’m not looking for a BFF, just convenience and good service. I have gone elsewhere for estimates on some of the repairs and I just end up back at Benchmark. Most places I have gone to for repairs recommend Benchmark. The body work and paint is still perfect two years later. Say what you will, I’m happy there. It’s my life ambition to get Sean to laugh and smile.
Oh yeah, they will wash your RV for a reasonable fee. The location is perfect and freeway close.

They were $ 1,000 cheaper than the next best body repair estimate I got. For anyone that knows anything about fiberglass repair they know it is a skill few possess. Benchmark did a quality job at a competitive price. I’ll be returning. Mike and Eddy are a good team

Everyone at Benchmark is knowledgeable and helpful. Over the years They have serviced all 3 RVs that I’ve owned, and always done quality work at a reasonable price. Mike (the owner), Robert (manager), Eddy, Shawn, are all super. I know I can leave my RV with them and trust that the work will be done quickly and correctly.

Stupid or Liar?
I use my coach for work, I rent them out to clients for photo shoots. When I first bought my coach, I knew very little. I quickly learned that these losers were not the people to trust. Especially Eddie, what a piece of crap human being
Broken electric jacks — first he told me that the warranty company wouldn’t cover two at a time and I had to bring the coach back a month after they replaced the first one — LIAR. Second he told me that it took an hour to take off and put on each one — LIAR
Broken AC unit — I brought my coach in on the Thursday before Labor day weekend, telling Eddie that the AC unit was broken. He charged me an hour to «diagnose», when I returned he told me that it wasn’t the AC unit at all and that it was the generator and that they couldn’t fix it for a couple of weeks. I jumped on the phone and tried to find a place to repair it right away. Before I left, the mechanic came out and asked me to come back into the shop. He showed me that he had discovered that it might not be the generator at all, it seemed that the $ 110 «diagnoses» consisted of plugging the coach in to shore power and holding his hand up to the AC vent. Since it’s a ducted system, there was airflow from the one working unit, and assumed that it wasn’t the AC unit, but must be the generator.
I shared this discovery with Eddie, who never apologized for misinforming me or over charging me for a diagnosis that MIGHT have taken 5 minutes. He told me that there were no AC units to be had anywhere, there had been a fire at the factory and that was that. He suggested that I just tell my client that it was working, since one of the units actually was and blame the outside temperature on the fact that the unit couldn’t keep up. I’m not a LIAR, so I jumped on the phone and started calling places all over the country, found a unit in Oregon, had it shipped down air freight and installed it myself, the next day. The hardest part was getting it on the roof.
As I learned more, I found that what Eddie had told me was impossible to fix and instead required the replacing of the whole $ 1200 unit (plus labor), was a 10 minute fix with a $ 26 capacitor. I’m going to go STUPID on this one. (probably a little liar too)
So I think we have found that rare combination of a person who is both STUPID and a LIAR. DON’T TRUST HIM OR ANYONE AT THIS PLACE!!!

In June, my insurance company recommended Benchmark to replace my damaged satellite. Edi Luna, Service/​Parts Advisor, handled all of my repair needs. He even noticed that my fairly new house batteries were wired incorrectly. Thanks, Edi. You are the BEST. After receiving exceptional service from Benchmark, I decided to have the company fix a few items on my coach. Great Job!!!
In short, I have traveled to numerous RV centers and not once experienced top notched customer service like I did at Benchmark. These guys are knowledgeable, fair, and completely honest. Also, the work is reasonably priced. I am telling everyone who has an RV in Southern Cal about Benchmark.

I wish I had read these reviews before subjecting myself to this service center. They are simply the rudest and the worst. They are a complete rip off and really don’t know what they are doing. They charged for 6 hours of testing on a generator that only needed service. Never try to work with our warranty. No one should ever use them.

Looking for assistance on repairing an RV, whomever answered the phone was rude, insulting and condescending. After reading all the reviews for this business, at least they’re consistent! If I spoke to my customers at my auto repair and service shop like this guy, I’d be out of business in no time.

We paid a lot of $ to have work done on our RV in 2006. The work was done right the first time but was frightfully expensive. By the tone of the recent reviews it appears that the staff has changed since then.
I called last week to get a price on buying and have automatic electric jacks installed for the same coach but they guy who answered the phone told me that Benchmark was not interested in doing the work.
Must be nice to turn down thousands of dollars of work!

Yes they are negative, yes they are expensive.
Personally, I can deal with that because every repair they have done for me was done right the first time. And every piece of advice they gave me ended up being good advice.
Also, they stored our 40′ for almost 2 years without incident
Hint: If you are not a storage customer, the tank dump is cash only.

Very poor customer service. Eddie is incredibly rude and snotty. He and Mike do the good cop/​bad cop routine, but nothing ever changes. Prices are very high for mediocre work, and I’m not entirely certain they’ve been honest along the way. I’ve used them a lot, and have finally found someone I feel is far more trustworthy… at ½ the price!
I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

There is a bunch of negative energy here: terrible customer service, bad attitudes and rudeness. I would give negative stars if I could. They price gouge as well. I would rather drive an extra hour than deal with these people. Eddie and the other younger guy have terrible people skills. Don’t take it out on other people if you hate people and hate your jobs.

The service guy was not very knowledgeable. Their mechanics must be slow because the time needed for repairs is excessive. They would prefer to replace assemblies rather than diagnose and make repairs. They will wash your coach before they give it back to you but you’ll pay for it!
