Specialties

Senne Technical Services supports the Aerospace, Petro-Chemical and Nuclear Industries by providing training, Project Management, and Consulting.

Beginning his career in 1965, our Senior Instructor, Steve Senne, had increased his skills sufficiently to begin teaching Nuclear Radiological Health & Safety at Don Bosco Technical Institute in Rosemead, California by 1970. This course was created by his mentor, Fred Rohde.

Dr. Rohde was the nondestructive Testing (NDT) advisor for Admiral Rickover, U.S.N. Fred and his team installed the original nuclear power plant in the Nautilus, the first of the United States operational nuclear submarines.

In 1972, Steve took over the radiation safety course after two years tutelage as a substitute teacher under the course instructor, John Hall, a Nuclear Physicist. He continued teaching this course until 1987 when his wife became ill. This course is now taught by Robert Clifton, a former student of Dr. Senne.

On October 31, 1982, Senne Technical Services (STS) was founded as a part-time operation around other work assignments (see resume). Steve began concentrating on Nondestructive Testing (NDT) to supplement the radiation safety training.

By 1984, Steve was participating in a United States National Certificate testing program by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). (For more information click asnt.org.)…
