It is a nightmare building a salon business… Especially if you knew nothing and it is not easy to get permits in a city like Burlingame.
I had a hard time finding a good architect who understood what I wanted and I needed.
It took me 3 weeks and got lost to find some architects who wanted to charge me $ 15,000 and take 2 months to draw up the plans. My time is so limited becuase I didn’t get much from the landlord for the construction days and ended up playing the rent every day.
Eddy Shen from LRS Associates INC who helped me with this project, reasonable prices, without rip off, understand what you needed, super quick work and well done. My three experiences with LRS Architecture have been great. When I was referred to Eddy Shen from another firm because my project was considered more complex that other firms did not want to take on.
At the end, Eddy saved me time, money and stress with his ample experiences in dealing with City.
And the fee for all services received was very reasonable. I will do business with LRS again.

UPDATE: Eddy Shen personally delivered a check to us a few weeks ago, refunding our deposit money. I am more thankful for it than you know. I am really glad that he came when he did, because I had small claims paperwork filled out and was planning on visiting small claims court to file suit that very day. It also restored a bit of my faith in humanity in general.
I’d still be very wary of Eddy Shen and LRS Associates. The refund doesn’t deter from the fact that they took thousands of dollars of mine, put us over six weeks behind on our project, and took up lots of my time trying to recover it.
