Pick of the Patch Pumpkins & ABC Tree Farms

We buy a fresh tree every other year when we host Christmas. Without fail, we always find a beautiful 8 – 9′ Noble here. And, we typically go to 3 – 4 tree lots before going back here to purchase one.
The guys there are very helpful, both in holding the tree so that we can look at it and in loading the tree onto the rack of my truck.
Their prices are about $ 20 more than Home Depot and OSH. But hey, it’s worth it.

The staff are nice and helpful. They tied the tree to our car for us. I am disappointed with the quality of the tree we purchased. We bought a noble fir. It’s been 2 days and the lines are already turning yellow. We’ve been watering the tree and putting tree food in but it’s still turning yellow and we’re still quite a few weeks from Christmas!

My daughter’s preschool had a field trip here in the morning. It was a blast. She is 2y4m and was able to get on most of the slides (except the largest one). The staffs are super nice. We got a bottle of water, a cute pumpkin which included in our ticket. We also bought a spider toy that reacts to sounds, it is super fun for kids to play with. Overall, money well spent. Thank you!

Talk about house of horrors! The ladies at 4:00pm on October 30 2015 were horrible !! Worst customer service ever! My family and I walked in to support our local pumpkin patch and picked out two pumpkins that matched the middle size display. The small pumpkins were $ 3.00, middle was $ 10 and the large said $ 15 and up. The lady looks at our two sized middle pumpkins and doesn’t know how to price it and asks her two co workers who are just as clueless. The lady says those are 10 and 15 dollars, I ask why the different prices since both are the same size? She tells me that one is a sugar pie pumpkin which costs more. Well there are no sugar pie pumpkins there as those are used for baking and she wouldn’t know one if It fell on her head! So then I put it back and grab another one and then she tells me 13 for each one. So now she raises her original price on the 10 dollar one and try’s to get 6 bucks more. Then she goes on to tell her co workers «I don’t know why people are complaining we are the only game in town and there is a shortage of pumpkins». Then she says I’m giving you a deal because you were arguing about the price. My wife tells her that we aren’t arguing we are questioning why you are making up prices in your head. So we tell them no thanks and they yell out fine, bye and yell out a sarcastic happy Halloween. Well you are not the only game in town, we went to Safeway and bought large pumpkins for $ 6 each! Costco had them even larger for $ 8.99. Do not support these band of hillbilly gypsies that set up here during Halloween and Christmas. They pull this same stunt with there trees.

Went on field trip with daughter’s preschool this morning. We had a 10am reservation. At 11am, two excessively indifferent and slightly rude ladies finally opened the gates. No apology, no discount, wet inflatables = no return customer out of me. Surely they can’t control Mother Nature, but better customer service and a phone call would have gone a long way.

Moderate expected prices. Pumpkins aren’t cheap.
Four inflatable play structures. Lots of pumpkins to choose from. Great location. Parking sucks but doesn’t it suck in general?! I’ve been going to this one for years. The kids love it

Although the bounce house was a hit with my kids, the register lady was extremely rude when she came running over to the bounce house to yell at me for helping my 2.5yo up the climbing area to go down the slide. I kept hearing «NO NO NO adults. You don’t go up there! Get down! Get down!» Wth. I wasn’t aware of the «no adult» rule but c’mon, there are plenty of ways to effectively and politely communicate that information to your patrons without causing a scene. My son was then literally «stuck» up there because I was forced down without him and eventually the register lady had to go get him because I wasn’t allowed up to get my son. I wouldn’t go here if you have LOs that requires an adult to be with them a couple of times until they’re fully comfortable to do it on their own.

Went there with our 3-​hr old for the large inflatables (slides and bouncers). While those were fun, the whole place is extremely overpriced: $ 9 for 30 mins of bouncy time, seriously? Oh, and of course, there’s another $ 3 charge for 3 laps of riding on kids’ AWD cars — with no visible signs about that extra charge.
Next, let’s get some pumpkins. Again, those were really overpriced as well compared to other places, and I felt like they charged for larger ones than I actually picked.
Add to that the fact that my change was 5 bucks short — pure coincidence? Maybe. YMMV. I won’t be back, though.

My daughter and I came here Saturday night as part of our mother daughter day (leaving daddy and baby sister at home). We chose two huge pumpkins that were $ 20 each.
I asked a girl is there was anyone who could help us lift them off the ground because they were super heavy, and I just gave birth 2 weeks ago. The cashier aka owner yelled, «NO! You need to be over there!» And pointed to the jumper area. The girl said, «it’s already past 8:00pm». The owner then said to me, «we are extremely busy, and we don’t usually help anyone lift pumpkins».
Really? I’m about to give you $ 40 for 2 pumpkins and you can’t even help?! I was livid that I had wasted all that gas to drive there and left with nothing.
How are you going to have a business and suck at customer service? It’s overpriced.
We ended up going to Uesugi Farms in San Martin the next day. It is beautiful, and we got the same sized pumpkins there for $ 10 each. The workers even loaded the pumpkins into the car for me.

Took my 1^st and 2^nd grade kiddos on a field trip here yesterday– and was seriously underwhelmed. Most of them had fun though, and I suppose that’s all that matters.
First there’s the price. My boss did the planning and negotiation (if in fact any occurred at all), and the kids each paid $ 10 and in addition to the visit received a baby bear pumpkin upon parent pick up. When we arrived, there was a sign indicating that a day pass was $ 5. On their website is a coupon for BOGO entry. Not sure where the $ 10 group rate total came from– would not expect to spend an additional $ 5 on the pumpkin but who knows. There was no signage indicating pumpkin prices, but one sign said they were half price.
The kids ran around on four bounce houses, and there was a section of pumpkins and halloween décor with hay bales to pose on for pictures or to select the perfect gourd. In addition to a few different types of pumpkins were various gourds and squashes. A table in the tent sold bottled waters and snacks (slim jims were all I saw), and various pumpkin carving tools and kits, and the odd small toy (light up rings, for example).
Additionally, there was a small «petting zoo” — or what passed for one. It was a sturdy-​looking wooden cage with fencing for kids to look through and poke fingers in, featuring two tiny bunnies and a baby duck. None of whom looked healthy or happy. Though they were in a covered area and there was some hay in the cage itself, there didn’t appear to be much in the way of protection from the elements– and it was pretty chilly when we left at 6.
To be fair, a good quarter of my kiddos whined that they were bored at some point or another during our 2-​hour visit, as all there was to do was the bounce houses– and at one point or another, most were closed for a few minutes for «maintenance».
Ultimately what I didn’t like about this place was the management– or lack thereof. Saw three employees total when I went. All appeared to be barely out of their teenage years, were wearing yoga pants or ripped up jeans, and were running all over the place in a disorganized fashion– very unprofessional.
At one point, an employee asked a chaperone to block the entrance to a bounce house and tell kids it was closed, so she could investigate a leak– there was some issue with leaves covering a fan or something. You would think they’d have another employee to the blocking, as I understand issues arise.
Later in the evening, other guests came up to me asking where to pay– there was no one at the table (which is a good distance from the entrance) for nearly 20 minutes. Overall just very unorganized– parents were coming to pick up kids for our group, walking in and out with their other kids, and it was quite easy for other guests to walk in and out without paying, and I noticed quite a few doing so.
Additionally, the parking lot has maybe 10 spaces blocked off in the pumpkin patch drive way, with more outside the fence that you can walk to for other businesses. Maybe it’s the lack of signage or maybe drivers are just stupid, but cars were frequently blocked in due to the lack of space to turn around and others double-​parking behind the designated spots. Perhaps if management had been in the lot, paying attention, or posted signage, this would not have been an issue.
Park carefully in an adjacent lot and walk over, let your kids bounce around after signing the waiver but keep a good eye on them, and select a «half price» pumpkin to carve. But don’t be surprised if you can’t tell who works there or who to pay. Or where. Or how much.

This is a place to avoid if you have toddlers who wants to have fun at a pumpkin patch. The woman who was working at the tractor driving ring was beyond rude. She repetitively screamed at young kids (2, 3 yr olds) when they run the tractor into the hay, yelling «stop! don’t move! you’re damaging the tractor!!» or something along the lines. Someone with that kind of attitude should stay away from children and should never be allowed to work there.

The woman that runs this lot is incredibly rude. I will not be back. We pulled a tree from the discount section and the woman clearly didn’t believe us since she asked 3 times where we got it from. They did not have prices on any of the trees over there (the woman complained that they didn’t have prices because they’ve been too busy) except for one big sign that reads «ALL trees in discount section $ 24.99» and when we got up to pay, the woman condescendingly said that the tree we picked out was $ 30 after she first indicated that I was stupid for questioning the total. When we pointed out the only sign indicating pricing for the trees in that section, she replied «well it really isn’t ALL trees in that section as the sign states. I would have gladly paid $ 30 for that tree if it weren’t for the bait and switch and her attitude. By the way, this isn’t just poor customer service — its a weights and measures violation.
There are plenty of tree lots and buying a Christmas tree should be a pleasant experience. If you go to this lot, this will not be the case.

Regarding the Xmas Tree Lot: The guys that helped us out were great. We found multiple beautiful 8+ foot tall trees all for under $ 25! They’ll cut the bottom and put a cheepo stand on it for you for an extra $ 8, and have nicer stands you can purchase that they’ll put on too. We’ll definitely be coming back here next year.

Fast and easy for Christmas Tree shopping. They’ll net it for an additional 3 dollars, but they don’t have a shaking machine to shake off all the loose needles, etc. Overall, pretty good and they do steer you toward the discount section first, which contains a fine selection of good looking trees. They were ~25 dollars.

We have pass holders the last 3 years. The atmosphere and customer service was always great; we never minded the price gouging because the experience was worth it in the end. In fact we have had many parties here I’ve the years. This year the lot management changed at it just isn’t the same. No passes for us this year and it looks like no parked either. The good thing is I save $ 400. I expect the lot won’t be nearly as profitable this year as regulars drift away… well, except grandpa’s lot couldn’t open this year… next year though!

Best Customer Service at any pumpkin patch I’ve ever been to! Margo not only remembered my boys from last year, but remembered their names! Seriously! We love this place!

It was my first time in my life going to a Christmas tree lot (I know, I was deprived because my parents have had their fake Costco tree for two decades now) and this lot was great!
We were greeted by some really friendly workers who didn’t try to scam us in buying expensive trees. They even directed us to look at the discounted trees first to see if we find anything we liked.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of a gentleman who helped us that day, but he was awesome. He told us that he had just unloaded a nice-​looking tree in the discounted section that was worth checking out. And he was right! Our tree was 6.5 feet tall douglas fir with no gaps or holes. We bought it for $ 25!
This will definitely be the place that we’ll go for our future trees. :)

I go here every year to get my Christmas tree. After decades of fake Christmas trees (you Asians know what I’m talking about) I dedicated myself to getting a real tree every year. Remember how excited you were to open that Montgomery Ward box that was bigger than your dad, and you’d construct that tree that closely resembled green tinsel glued to coat hangers twisted up to stick into a big green broom handle? Fast forward 10 years and now it looks like a hairy coatrack, but your parents refused to go to Sears to spend $ 30 on a new one? Cheap bastards, right??? In this era of consumerism and debauchery, we need a new tree each year! How else are these trees going to fulfill their Christmas destiny?
This lot is used for a lot of things, from easter egg hunts to pumpkin patches to Xmas trees to children’s fair events.
This place always has a good selection and the employees are polite and work hard. Their prices are decent and they have a wide variety of firs and sizes from 3″ to 8″. They even have a few Charlie Brown-​type trees for the saps in all of us.
Parking is a bit cramped but they get people out quickly. They will happily trim the bottom brances and re-​cut the bottom and re-​level. They will tie it on your car and bag if if desired, and they have all the necessary tree accoutrements including the disposal bag that doubles as a non-​fancy tree skirt that is vital when getting the dried up tree out to the curb like a good-​for-​nothing BF/​GF.
