This is a nice little ramen joint hidden in downtown Sunnyvale. Came here on a Sunday around the time they open at 5pm and there wasn’t a line to get seated, which was nice Service was quick and they took our order within 5 minutes. I ordered the Chicken Kaarage over rice side plate and their Tonkatsu Ramen. For drinks we got the Chu-Hai white peach soda cocktail. It’s basically a white peach Smirnoff ice which tastes like soda. The chicken was great and fried perfectly. Only issue I had with this dish was that there was way more rice than chicken. The Tonkatsu ramen was really good. Probably the best Chashu I’ve had in ramen in the whole Bay Area. Noodles were solid and broth tasted better spicy, so I’d recommend getting the spicy Tonkatsu if you can handle it. Overall solid ramen place with great ambience and service. Would recommend coming closer to when thy open to avoid a wait

I came here for Saturday lunch with my bf and was seated right away. He ordered the clam ramen+ spicy(regular $ 11.75 + 0.50 for spicy) and I got the tonkotsu ramen(regular $ 10.75). Food came within 10 mins and service was efficient. The noodles had a nice texture and I loved the soft boiled egg. It was also nice to have fresh veggies in the ramen. The chicken and pork broth had a nice flavor, but it was really oily– my stomach wasn’t able to handle the grease and I suffered from this about an hour later. The spicy clam broth looked less oily and was also very flavorful. Clams lost most of their flavor to the broth, but was cooked well. Overall, I did like the ramen here, but I think the broth is just too heavy for my weak stomach.

Good, fast service, every time. Tonkatsu ramen — flavorful broth with plenty of noodles, good level of spiciness, but you have to ask for it Only ramen complaint is that I wish all ramen houses would use better quality pork. Often I find the pieces to be too ‘porky’, suggesting too much grain feed. Miso Ramen — quality miso flavor Simmered Gyozas — light, fresh, in broth with scallions Agedashi Tofu — light tofu, wish the skin was fried more to be less sticky Happy Hour during the week with many options and great prices too!

This place never disappoints us !!! We have been to orenchi, kotetsu, ieke, matsuri… etc several ramen places in town but ramen sea is by far the best!!! The noodle is great and their cha-shu don is another big plus here! Even my Japanese friends say that this is a «honkaku»(real) ramen place ! Great customer service here :) will definitely come back soon !

Came by for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised! Arrived slightly before the lunch rush and managed to be seated upon arrival. Started off with the Chicken Karaage and it was excellent! Chicken was perfectly marinated and well fried, definitely a must try! It even had a nice side of mayo! Moved on to the Tonkatsu ramen which was merely okay. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were al dente. The cha shiu was rather dry and bland. The half soft boiled egg was decent though! …still a quite a difference from ramen in Tokyo! ~$ 15/head after tax and tip for lunch.

Worst customer service and poor clam ramen quality. i waited over 30mins for one single clam ramen… i think they simply forgot my order. and when it came out, The noodles are still very ‘al dente’ when I take them out. If you want to have clam ramen, just go to TANTO. they have a better clam ramen.

My first experience here wasn’t great — their clam ramen has pork and seafood broth and it was just weird. Fast forward a year and I found myself in the neighborhood for lunch and craving ramen. I am pretty sure neither tonkotsu nor spicy tonkotsu was on the menu before. I went with the spicy version and it was delicious.

Came here on Wednesday night for dinner and I never got my food. A waiter took our order and disappeared. About 40 min later I finally asked our server if our food was ready. He talked to another waitress there and the waitress came to our table and asked ” oh I am sorry, did I take your order? ” Apparently, he doesn’t even remember taking our orders… We didn’t want to wait any longer and got out as quickly as we could. It was just a total waste of our time.

Clam ramen is good, not great, the clams are well cooked, but lost its original flavor almost completely, the soup base has garlic and taste not bad. Tried their rice bowl, rice too soft for my taste, something between this and the Spanish rice would be ideal. The Murphy street is a nice place for a walk after dinner, so this could be a plus. Overall a 3.5 place with special clam ramen you won’t find in most of the ramen place around.

I really like this place. We were hungry on a Sunday night so we GPS this ramen restaurant and were pleasantly surprised this little gem was in the heart of downtown Sunnyvale. Parking was a breeze with a large free lot near the Macy’s. A quick stroll led us to a fast wait in the relatively small restaurant I could gauge of having only around 10 – 12 tables. The broth was very good. Not so pungent or strong as the other places I’ve been to. The noodle was yellow, thick, and soft. The meat and egg was very good. They gave us a huge portion of ramen we are still eating leftovers at home. I ordered the Ramen salad which was very good. For appetizers we had the fried chicken. Service was a little slow and the place was small but the food made it to be a 5 star.

Last night my gf and I decide to place a «to go» order from these guys. We ordered the ton katsu ramen and the spicy ton katsu ramen as well as other appetizers on the menu(Takoyaki/Chicken Karagge) We get there and pick up our food, as we were checking out with the cashier he kept a close eye when we were signing the receipt and the first thing he looks at is how much we tipped. We always tip, even if it is a to go order. Since I do work in a professional kitchen I took a little peep into their kitchen and noticed that their cooks weren’t even changing their gloves as they picked their faces(I.e scratching noses, rubbing face etc) so that was another bad sign… So we get home and start unpacking the food, unfortunately the ramen portions we received were super small even though we both ordered the regular size portions which ran $ 12 ea roughly. I only got 1 piece of the pork belly and my soup was ridiculously spicy, pretty unbearable to eat but flavorful I’ll give them that. We were super disappointed about the amount of items given that was supposed to be incorporated into their ramen. Not to mention the next day after I got sick and had to go home early from work due to excessive spicy burning diarrhea. I’m actually on the can right now writing this review. Pretty bad first impression from our local ramen spot here in Sunnyvale since we are new to this area

Yum, Ramen Seas has won my heart and I would definitely come back another time around! In my personal opinion, I would say this is equivalent to the quality of Orenchi just because the flavor of the broth, the abundance of vegetables and other ingredients in my bowl, and the variety of the entrees on the menu was beyond satisfactory. I went here for lunch earlier today with my older sister around 12:00PM on a Monday afternoon. The restaurant was already packed with people, so we ended up waiting for 10 minutes before being seated. I would advise to arrive here at 11:30AM-11:45AM if you want to sit down immediately after you arrive :) The waitress took our order almost immediately, brought our waters in a timely manner, and delivered our freshly cooked ramen at a lightning speed. Dang, service is fast here. My sister ordered the«Spicy Tonkotsu» ramen, which included cha siu and had a spicy kick a bit too extreme for her mild taste buds. Nevertheless, she said it was delicious. On the other hand, I decided to order the special«Kotetsu Tonkotsu» ramen, which included savory pieces of pork belly. Both of our meats(cha siu and pork belly) were literally tender to the point where it melts in your mouth — yum! Also, I don’t know how they did it, but the pork belly included a slightly sweet flavor that is indescribable in words that you must try for yourself. I would definitely recommend the Kotetsu Tonkotsu ramen for first-timers! Definitely will be back here soon! The only reason I gave four stars was because my sister and I were waiting for our check for a while. Every time we attempted to catch a glance with one or two employees on the floor, they were always busy cleaning tables, fetching water, serving entrees, etc. I ended up having to walk up to the counter to an employee just standing there(I felt that he could have looked around the floor to see if anyone needed anything) to fetch our check. All of the employees are super nice though! If it wasn’t so understaffed, I would definitely have given this place 5 stars. Till we meet again, Ramen Seas :)

One of the best ramen places in this area I’ve had! The soups were full of flavorful with thick noodles, the way I like it. We ordered: Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, added ankido– it was delicious! The Tonkotsu broth was full of flavor but was actually not that spicy. Boyfriend ordered this, so I just took a few bites. Clam Miso Ramen– also delicious and full f flavors. Soup is more on the thick side if you like thick soup. It’s miso with a hit of clam flavor, so good. Clams were clean and tasted fresh. I ordered a size small, but it was packed with noodles, meat, and veggies that I could not finish it all. It was so good! And there was so much of it! The eggs in the ramen were half eggs, soft boiled, but no flavor. So that was standard for me. Orenchi still makes the best soft boiled eggs Curry Rice– this was standard. The curry they use is Japanese curry. I will definitely be making a trip back here again, something I cannot say for many of the popular ramen places in the South Bay.

Ah… nothing beats a hearty of dat ramen on a busy weekday… Having come here over four times now, I have to say the Deluxe Ramen with miso broth, along with the Tontaksu ramen is wroth every bit of those precious $ 10 and $ 14 prices. Menu selection is simply but the appetizers are pretty nice to share with everyone, such as the Chicken Karaage and Grilled Beef Tongue. Yummy! Seating does get packed after 12:00pm during the weekdays, and on Friday night it gets popping starting right off the bat at 5:30pm. But is it worth the yet? I think so! With a flavorful broth, plentiful amounts of sides and a hearty portion of noodles, this is worth that first bite into those al dente noodles! WOOTWOOT! I’ll have to let you decide, but the taste, especially on a hungry workday is so good to the tummy. Check out the pics and gauge for yourself! Ramen Seas deserves a solid 4-stars for its portions, service and pricing during the lunch hours. Anything that is oily and bad for the heart is totally worth 4 stars in my book! It’s almost a hidden treasure in Sunnyvale, CA, and I venture to say that this place is worth going for those who haven’t had ramen in a long time.

I’d say this is one of the better ramen places I’ve been to! I got the spicy tonkatsu(small) bowl of ramen. It was plenty for me, but a bit smaller than most«smalls» at other ramen or phở places. Plenty of toppings — 3 slices of pork I believe, only ½ an egg though. It was the perfect amount of spicy. The gyoza was delish as well. To top it all off the service was great.

im a fan … seafood and pork based soup so the soup was not as oily as other places. The seafood ramen(small) was awesome… came with clams, scallop, shrimp. I also added the half-boiled egg which was perfect! The small portion was large enough for me The noodles were firm and nice. This place is probably the best ramen place in South Bay… the wait time is not as long as orenchi and the service was great. Plus, the price is cheap esp. since you get seafood. Also, the price has already included tax!

What a hidden gem! This place is located next to my fav coffee shop and did not notice until recently. Came in with a friend as he had been here before. Did not dawn in his mind as we always go to our coffee spot in random time of day during weekends. Menu was very simple(as I like it) as some ramen spots have so many options and sometimes I always take a long time choosing as there are so many options. As we looked at the menu, i had already made up my mind but my friend saw a posting next to me as I did not even notice. I was hungry and ready to order and then i changed my mind to get their new item which was Kakuni Tonkatsu Ramen. I am glad that i got to try this as it was delish! Broth was flavorful to my liking and noodles tasted really fresh. It was cooked al dente, which not to soft nor not too hard. the braised pork belly was just super tender and very flavorful! Service was good too and my water cup was never empty. Overall, expect me to come back here when I am feeling for ramen along with my favorite cup of coffee!

My friend and I were studying at Philz and wanted to grab lunch as a quick study break. We picked Ramen Seas because she was craving ramen and this was the closest one. We honestly didn’t know we were that close(in walking distance) until we got into the car and was ready to drive. Silly us! Upon arrival, we saw that the restaurant was almost packed with a few tables open. We quickly put one of our names on the list and waited to be called. For some reason, they didn’t seat us until maybe five minutes later when another group came in. Maybe they were low of staff, but they didn’t really acknowledge us when we walked in and we were kind of just staring at them. I’ve read a lot about the seafood ramen but I didn’t really feel like trying it because I was kind of indifferent about it. I ended up getting the Spicy Tonkotsu while my friend got the regular Tonktosu. The ramen was pretty decent. The broth was pretty flavorful and the ingredients blended in well together. There were a decent amount of food, even for a small. I think it was just enough and I was at the satisfied/happy full mood after that. It wasn’t all that spicy either so I could still enjoy my food. Overall, I do like this place. I don’t have any complaints except for when we arrived but I can look past that. I would recommend trying this place if you’re ever in the area or if you wanted to try out a new ramen place. It’s not as good as Orenchi or Santouka, but it’s not all that bad. It’s average and pretty decent. It’s about $ 10 per bowl, which is understandable. I wouldn’t mind coming back again.

I am not a huge seafood fan because I was scared by the lobster and snow crabs in Chinese restaurant fish tanks as a kid(true story… but as Unilocal Elite I am obliged to be omnivorous). However, given my never-ending ramen addiction and the undeniably cute name of Ramen Seas, this was most definitely on my destinations list. So one night when I needed to pick a place in the area for dinner, I came across the newly opened Myzen but it looked mediocre, pricey, and the chashu portions looked like sample size. Off to Ramen Seas we sailed. The menu has basic(non-seafood) tonkotsu and miso in addition to their specialty seafood ramens. Prices are reasonable, especially with the inclusion of seafood, and there are small and large options. I went with a small MISOCLAM($ 11) because it had a good selection of toppings included: 3 clams, half an egg, menma, spinach, kikurage, green onion, sesame seeds. The clam ramen comes with almost nothing, and the deluxe with everything looked enticing but spending $ 14 for a bowl of noodle soup seems like spending my $ like water(Ramen Seas pun intended). I thought it was pretty good – the broth was garlicky and not overly salty, the clams were juicy and went surprisingly well with the miso, and the various veggies added a nice crunch and texture variety. Areas for improvement, in my opinion, would be to get rid of the $ 0.50 extra charge for spicy, more soy marinaded into the soft-boiled egg, and more chashu(it’s tasty, but the cuts are small and have huge stripes of fat patterned like bacon. Unfortunately, my fear of Myzen sample-size chashu came true at Ramen Seas). My friend got the regular SEAFOODRAMEN and liked it. Overall nice place for dinner and good for hanging out. As a plus, parking in Downtown Sunnyvale is considerably less horrendous than that of Downtown MV.
