Bay Walk Inn

HORRIBLE! Stay away. That’s as honest as I can get. HORRIBLE. Rooms were filthy to the point we had to ask for the cleaner’s spray and clean them ourselves. The carpet looks like it’s 100 years old with who knows WHAT is on it. Gross! The staff, except for one guy — were rude. There is a «manager» on site who was absolutely rude … too busy showing her family member how to run the front desk than help a guest. Looked at us when we had a request like we were completely unimportant. They overbooked the rooms so we ended up walking into a room that had three men in it. Pretty shocking. Suffice it to say — this hotel has a crappy location — a crappy front desk — disgusting rooms — no restaurant — hair in the english muffins — bad service. This is the worst review I’ve ever given anyplace. It deserves every scathing remark. Called to discuss this and she was (MICHELLE) so pathetic and horrible. I’m sick that I gave one cent to this place.

I’ve stayed here. I’ve pooped here. It’s ok.

The whole building is smoke free, AND they allow dogs. Big thumbs up from me for that. I often run in to hotels that allow smoking and dogs, and group them in the same area, so I spent my vacations miserable from the smoke smell. Dogs of any size are welcome, which is nice, we tend to find places with a 25 – 30 lb weight restriction (and come on… that’s not even really a dog.)
Not super fancy, but it’s clean and every person we’ve run into on the staff is really friendly. Not sure if it’s the time of year or the location, but it’s a quiet hotel and that’s something we consider a plus. And bonus points… Biscuits and gravy at breakfast!
Our mini vacation to Duluth every year may now turn in to a Superior vacation every year because of this hotel.

Great value! The property is begining to show it’s age but the place is very clean and the service is terrific.

Mid way on a cross country trip, this room was adequate, tho overpriced, and Location is a bit odd traveling through an industrial area to get to it. Room was fine, no problem, but pricey. Adjacent Restaurtant was decent though not spectacular.
