This is a decent community arts and crafts collective. The overall quality is fair but sometimes you can find a «diamond in the raw» here. It is my understanding the artists take turns manning the gallery. If so they need to improve on their customer service. This art isn’t going to sell itself even with their budget pricing.

A Mediocre Gallery with a Snootie Attitude I visit lots of galleries on our trips to many cities and towns all over California, and I have to say I rarely run into such a cool feeling when entering an establishment. In truth, we often buy in the galleries we visit, and ONLY buy in galleries where the staff are friendly and welcoming. The guy at Gallery 10 was NOT interested in us, his reception was that minimal. And, his response to questions we almost rude. The art was… well, I’d say good –to– okay. Maybe a few pieces that really stood out, but I was surprised at how much so-so art — originals and prints and cards — was displayed. I’ll visit again, to try to give the artists another chance… but the visit, while not a waste, was not particularly inspiring.

This is a little shop situated on the main drag of Sutter Creek– a must stop if you are in the area, but be prepared to endure some snobbery at this little gallery. Unfortunately, some of the less than delightful shopkeepers have been out right cold to me, my friends… it’s perfectly okay, we didn’t intend to buy anything super expensive, but still… a smile doesn’t cost anything does it? I do own a pair of earrings from here that I picked up a couple of years ago that I adore, so that’s what keeps me coming in. I’ve noticed that they have some better or upscale inventory than some of the other shops in the area, but I’ve also seen some of the same art elsewhere in California galleries. Hoping for future improvements.
