The food was average at best, highly over priced for the quality of food and sub-par service. Our waitress repeatedly got our order wrong and counted 4 times where she give our food and/or drinks to the wrong person at our table. Panda Express would have as good or better and a fraction of the cost.

I’m not sure why the Orient Garden is getting bad reviews. I work in the area and prefer this restaurant over all others in the area. You get a generous portion of meat and vegetables instead of all rice as other restaurants in the area give you. The vegetables are always crisp and the environment is pleasing. I have never had a problem with the wait staff and the waitress is quick to fill up my water without me asking. I love this restaurant!

I ordered the Ichiban roll, chicken wings, Sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice and veggie Lo Mein to go. The shrimp fried rice tasted like it was the rice from lunch. Very mushy rice. Give that a 1. The sesame chicken was extremely greasy and tasted like peanuts. I give it a 1. I tossed the meal after a few forkfuls. The wings & white rice was 3. The Ichiban Roll was a 3. The tempura shrimp was neither crunchy nor flavorful. 6pc roll for $ 9.39. I bought the Lo Mein for my daughter & didn’t taste. I give the restaurant a 2 as the wait staff is very friendly and the order came out quickly. However, even a 30 minute drive to Jimmy Carter Blvd where there are plenty of Oriental restaurants is worth the drive time. And they will be about 20% less.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Yonkey, the delivery driver, for working so hard. We’ve been ordering delivery from Orient Garden for a few years now. He always gets to my house super fast and the food is always hot. He always has a big smile on his face and is very kind. Also, the sushi is always very consistent. Kudos to the sushi chefs for all the great work!

I just moved near this restaurant, and thought it might be good to try it out. Service — OK. I had sat down for about 15 seconds when she asked me whether I was ready to order, which was fine, but she seemed annoyed when I wasn’t and I didn’t see her for another 5 minutes. Generally, it was okay, though. Atmosphere — Exactly what you’d expect for this place. A lot of booths, some tables. It was clean, including the bathroom. No issues here. Food — I make no exaggeration when I say this was not only the worst sushi I’ve ever had, but the worst food I’ve ever had in a restaurant anywhere in the world, period. I ordered the Shogun Dinner box, which is your standard Japanese restaurant dinner box — chicken teriyaki, california roll, and tempura. It also came with rice and a quarter of an orange. The chicken teriyaki was thin, bland, and not tender. The tempura was oily, overbattered, and overcooked. The 4 pieces of California Roll… oh, the sad, sad California Roll. I’m about 90% sure they are using frozen cucumber in this roll. Something is very off there. There are a surprisingly wide range of California Rolls and how they taste, but there is a common thread, and it is lost here. Tasted like wet cucumber and that was it. I looked at some of the other reviews… the Chinese food actually looks okay, though I wouldn’t recommend anything fried and I would stay far, far away from anything Japanese. I won’t be going back, ever.

If you love fried rice, you know there is a difference between it when it comes with your entrée and the rice as an entrée. Therefore you will understand this review. This place was empty at dinner, prices, woa! Anyhoo, we ordered shrimp fried rice as an entrée and orange chicken entrée. The shrimp fried rice was like the side fried rice you get with an entrée at most places, dry & bland. Orange chicken had a nice presentation, but the glaze was overly yellow and resembled those packets that come in a tv dinner. It was gross! Next time I’ll just do take out from Jade Dragon down the street.

I’ve been eating here since my children were toddlers and my eldest is in high school now. We’ve never had a problem with staff being rude to our family. The food is always good and we love their Sunday buffet!

This place has good sushi. I have gotten take out there twice and each time fresh and temperature appropriate. The serving size was small for the price. If the serving size was bigger I would feel the price would be right.

I will not recommend this place if you a looking for good customer service. The greeters and servers are so rude and barely smile or offer useful answers to questions. And whether you like their service or not prepare to pay 15% to 18% tips — No questions about that! At least that has been my family’s experience last couple of times we’ve been there. On our last visit, after placing order it took a while to be served. After the food was served, no waitress checked on us to see if we needed anything until we were done. At the end, we were presented with a tab with 18% tip added to it. After demanding to speak to the manager we were told no manager was available and the tip would not be waived. If you are looking for good food with good customer service, I will suggest staying away from Orient Garden in Suwanee. You will leave regretting the visit. I will never encourage anyone to spend their money here.

Went with my sister to pick up some takeout. The lady at the front desk was ridiculously rude. A simple question of whether our food was ready to pick up elicited a rude and dismissive answer. Customer Service is definitely not their priority. This is definitely not my fave place to get food.

We were traveling through and tried the Orient Garden because it was close to our motel. We eat a lot of Asian foods and was impressed with the extensive menu, but decided to try Fried Rice as almost no Asian Restaurant can mess this up. Well we found out YES they can. We told our waitress and got virtually no response. Would not recommend.

Sweet soir chicken cold bland. Had to request soup witj buffet. Waiter never ce to refill drinks. Has to go to hostess stand for extra napkins and drink refills several times. Most likely never go back. Much betyer deals at and hibatchi grill.

The teriyaki chicken is great. It is an excellent dish for carry out, as it is still piping hot after 15 mintues. One complaint I have for Orient Garden. Please, please, please, devein the shrimp. I really like shrimp tempura in general. The shrimp here was hot, crispy and had a decent flavor, but unless they start deveining the shrimp, I can’t order the tempura shrimp, nor the tempura shrimp and tempura vegetables again.

My search for good tasting sushi has become more elusive over the past few weeks. I decided to give this place a try over lunch but did not have my hopes up that the place would be good at all. I decided to go with some co-workers and see their offerings. I’m going back. Here’s why… First of all, their sushi menu is over 6 pages of offerings. Truth be told, it was a little overwhelming at the beginning trying to figure out what to have. Wanting to play it safe, I tried the California rolls and the shrimp tempura. The California rolls were just right: the rice was sticky and the flavors were fresh. They did not come apart when dipped in the soy sauce and wasabi. They tasted fresh. The presentation was simple but did the job. My coworker had the crunchy shrimp roll and he had no complaints about it. The same thing could be said about the shrimp tempura. The presentation was on point. The tempura was not bathed in batter. It was light and crispy. The customer service was not superior, but it was not bad. It was average. But don’t let that detract you from visiting this place. I’m certainly coming back and trying out a few other sushi rolls.

Ate here for lunch. I really wanted to like this place more than 3 stars and i almost made it 4 but it was fairly average. Nothing bad but nothing outstanding either. I had the vegetable chicken on fried rice. Lunch entrees come with an eggroll and soup. The hot & sour soup was very salty. The eggroll was fair. The chicken seemed a bit over cooked. However, the atmosphere was very nice, the menu has lots of variety(would like to try the sushi), and the waitress was often refilling or drinks(almost to a fault). I will be back to give it another try.

Sushi is truly 5star. The menu has over six pages to choose from. Customer service is good too.

This Chinese food is stellar! The staff is both friendly and prompt. Large menu of both Chinese and Japanese. its very nice inside compared to shopping center Chinese places, and it doesn’t have the cheesy décor. I recommend!

After running out of ideas on where to eat at, I turned to Unilocal to help me. Since I was in the mood for Asian cuisine and was in the area, and this restaurant have good ratings, I decided to give it a try. Plus, I always drove by this restaurant but always thought it was a Buffett and not a regular restaurant. Turns out, I was wrong. I walked in and the first thing the hostess asked me was«are you not cold» and deff. not in a nice way lol. I was wearing a short sleeved shirt with a jacket vest so I thought I was appropriately dressed. I shrugged it off, weird welcoming but whatever. I was hungry. Lol We were seated at a booth and as we were walking in, I noticed that they were fairly busy but majority of the customers were white and other races rather than being Asian. To me, this mean this might not be very authentic Chinese restaurant but more catered to the area’s population taste. We ordered: Hot spicy wings Chicken lettuce wrap Spicy coconut chicken soup Thai spicy fried rice. The foods came out one at a time and that bothered me because by the time the rice came out the wings were cold. -.- The spicy coconut soup was good. The chicken lettuce wrap was good but only gave two people three pieces of lettuce and when I asked for one more piece of lettuce my waitress informed me that it’s going to cost 1.50 for just another piece. Okay then, never mind. The hot wings was hot but very dry. Not enough sauce. The fried rice came out last and was very oily and salty(I posted pictures). I had to wait for my waitress to come back around to where we were seating and that took a while. She brought it back in and after like 5 minutes another one comes out and this time it was much better. My waitress looks annoyed. She also didn’t refill our water. Overall, the food was mediocre but not great. The service was horrible. I think I’ll stick to my favorite Chinese restaurant from now on.

When you’ve just gotten off a plane at 3:30 in the afternoon, and not eaten a solid meal since dinner the night before, who ya gonna call? Chinese take-out, that’s who! Which is just what my boyfriend and I did enroute home from the airport. Both of us were starving, and he’d patronized The Orient Garden many a time before, so without a menu online to consult, we called, ordered, picked it up, took it home, and wolfed it down. Our order consisted of steamed pot stickers, Mongolian beef and garlic chicken — classically American Chinese takeout in every way. And it was just the kind of thing we both needed as our one huge meal of that crazy travel day. Boy did that hit the spot — naturally, it wasn’t authentic Chinese food like you’d have on Buford Highway, but that wasn’t what we were going for either. Everything was steaming hot and smelled delicious on the ride back — it was hard not to dig in right there in the car. The pot stickers weren’t too doughy with lots of good meat and a great dipping sauce. And the Mongolian beef and garlic chicken were just right — not too, too saucy, not too sweet or garlicky and still piping hot even after about 30 minutes of car riding, house unlocking and luggage moving, and pot sticker consumption. The beef came with leeks and onions and some pin thin rice noodles(and big chunks of beef), and the garlic chicken had mushrooms, carrots, onions, peppers and lots of chunks of white meat chicken. Om nom nom. And in any other situation(ie where we’d had a decent meal earlier) there would have been leftovers, but this particular time, none remained, even though the portions were quite generous. In the event of take out again, I would definitely give Orient Garden another go, although I would really appreciate a menu online to view.
