Budget Batteries

Never going through them again, they don’t use a computer system in 2016 they take advantage of that. If you don’t provide proof of receipt they will not honor their warranty. Totally ridiculous and unprofessional!

I stopped in to have my battery checked and was helped as soon as I walked through the door. To have my battery tested, a new one installed and pay was less than10 minutes. They had my battery in stock, no installation fee, recycled my old battery and off I went. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a battery!

Love these guys! I’ve gone to these guys on Center st 3 different times and been completely satisfied every time. Fast efficient and cheaper than everyone else. But, quality parts and service. Will use them every time. .Thanks guys! You are. WONDERFUL…

I just bought a new battery two days ago, today my car will not start. When I tried to get a jump start it still would not hold a charge long enough to idle. When I called the company to ask for help they told me just to bring in the battery and they might replace it or charge it. When I explained to them that this was my only means of transportation they told me I was on my own and then said goodbye and hung up. Not helpful… Until i had the vehicle towed and then they were all about customer service…

Very reasonably priced shop to get a car battery. I have rarely paid to have someone install a car battery for me. It’s so easy, there never seemed to be a reason. But this past weekend, it was pouring rain and I needed to install a battery in my pickup. My garage isn’t big enough to work on a truck in it, and I drive by this place all the time. On a lark, I stopped in early Saturday morning and was surprised at how low the price was for a battery and installation. For my pickup, I was looking at paying $ 110-​$ 150 for a new battery from the auto parts store, depending on how long a warranty I wanted. Budget Battery installed a new battery for $ 120. It took them less than 10 minutes and I didn’t have to get wet or worry about getting rid of the old battery. I’ll never swap out my own battery again. Not when it so much easier to let this shop do the work. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone and I’ll definitely be going back.

Unfortunately I ended up having to take my car back two additional times only to be told my starter is the issue. I wish I had been told this before paying for a brand new battery I didn’t need. After the run around and inconvenience this caused me I do not recommend this business.

Budget Batteries off Center Street has been the lowest price thus far. I have purchased several batteries from them, always fast friendly service.

Used to be my favorite place to get used batteries. I’ve been a customer over 10 years. Now their prices has gone up ridiculously. Paying almost $ 60 bucks for a used battery with a 1 year warranty vs getting a 5 year warranty battery for $ 75! They used to sell their batteries for $ 30+ tax for used. This is my last time purchasing from this place. If I wasn’t low on time I would rather go buy a new battery. They might as well take off the sign $ 5. For scrap batteries when they still charge you a core price for purchasing their used batteries.

My truck was dead in the UPS parking lot on Union Ave. when an angel tried to rescue me by jumpstarting the battery. That didn’t work out, but she referred me to Budget. I made the call and he arrived within minutes, quickly jumped started me, and was on his way NO CHARGE. While I was absolutely willing to pay, I so appreciate the act of kindness. If I’m ever in need again (while visiting Tacoma), I will be shopping at Budget Battery.

Received fast, great service! The technician explained everything he was doing as well as ways to take care of my batterie in future! Plus, the price was super reasonable and free instillation! I will absolutely be going back for my next batterie!

SO, here’s a lovely «Part II» to my nightmare! The battery I bought at Center Street started giving me problems within months, but I figured it was maybe a bad connection or something. Maybe a battery terminal. Anyway, I need a jump probably 3 times since I got that battery! The biggest problem is that I wasn’t able to get in and talk to them about the battery or have them check it out. Until Saturday, October 25^th. They tested the battery and said it had a dead cell. There was nothing they could do to fix it. I found my receipt and it was dated 10÷15÷13. UGH! I was basically screwed at that point! Yep, it was 10 days out of warranty!!! So can you guess what happened? No, they didn’t say «oh, don’t worry sir, you’ve bought so many batteries from us over the years that we’re going to overlook the 10 days and get you a new battery». Instead, they gave me the price of the 2 batteries I could chose from! I had no choice I guess but to buy a new battery. As the guy was replacing my battery, my best friend called and said «That isn’t right! They SHOULD just give you another battery! A cell doesn’t just DIE, it had to have been over time or already dead when it was sold to you!» (which was what I thought they would do). Nope, I had to not only pay, but the battery went from $ 45 to $ 50 in the last year! And try to find any ownership or home office information is almost impossible! Apparently if you have a problem you have no choice but talk to the person you dealt with to begin with.
I’m not going to sleep very well until I get the price I had to pay for the new battery after theirs failed.

Great prices and even better service. I have no complaints at all! They are very quick and really helpful. I’ve never had any problems with them or their batteries. I’ve owned older and newer cars and taken them all here. These guys can definitely be trusted.

They are amazing… I’m not a Car guy but I knew I needed a battery so not only did I get a battery for my car but my girlfriends car… And I ask for them to help me fixing here alarm and they did that for free and I asked them to fix my heater and they did that for free! So amazing! Thanks

A Boeing security guard was able to get my car running by shaking the positive battery terminal/​cable connection. I drove straight to Budget Battery and told them that I may need a new battery because of a bad battery post or else the positive battery cable connector replaced. They checked my battery/​cable connector and tightend a loose bolt. Total charge was $ 00 (zero) and the mechanic would not even accept a monetary tip. I was told that the cable connectors on side-​mount batteries often come loose; it’s just the nature of the beast.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BUDGET BATTERY. They are my heroes.
