Budget Batteries No 9

My battery gave me a little trouble starting up last night. Then was fine when I started after a grocery trip. This morning it was completely dead, after a jumpstart I headed over here & was given immediate service. They tested my old battery even though I said I needed one, so that reassurance was nice. You can choose a new battery I think they quoted me at $ 90 — but I chose a reconditioned one that came to $ 54.70 total. He said it comes with a one year warranty but should last 5 easily.

I’ve shopped at Budget Batteries a few times over the years. Recently, after many years, I drove 100 miles from my retirement home to buy six new Gel Cell batteries at Budget Batteries in Tacoma. Doug gave me a great deal on these batteries. Without going into detail I have always been pleased with the prices and especially the service at Tacoma’s Budget Battery Store. Buying products via web sites is becoming routine with me. I always read reviews, etc., before deciding what business to buy from. And almost always when I see a four or five star rating I also usually see some less than favorable ratings. Some people never seem to be satisfied, no matter what. (I try to be honest with myself as I too have written a review or two, for other businesses, with less than favorable rating as I did not receive good service). If the people who wrote less than five stars for Budget Batteries knew more about batteries and alternators, etc., maybe they would know that you can’t go wrong with Budget Batteries on Center Street in Tacoma, Washington. Convenient location, Good Prices and Great Service.

My Camry’s battery died around 5 pm on Saturday afternoon. I was able to get a jump but couldn’t shut the car off until the battery had been replaced. I had seen Budget Batteries many times on my travels up and down Center Street. I pulled into their parking lot just at 5:05 pm just as the last guy was locking the door. He graciously opened back up and the three remaining techs quickly sold and installed a battery for me. It must have taken less than 10 minutes total. I was so pleased that my car was back and running. Many thanks guys!!! You made my day

Quick, courteous and no nonsense. I rolled in with a battery that was on it’s way out and they set to work right away, testing the battery, alternator and starter for free. Once they discovered the problem, they offered several inexpensive options and didn’t try to pressure me into something I didn’t want. They deal in reconditioned and «off-​brand» batteries so I can’t speak to the overall quality but when you’re facing a dead battery and payday is a week or two away, they can’t be beat. The whole encounter was done in approximately 15 minutes. Thanks Budget Batteries, you’re a lifesaver.
