Business Owner

Dr. Deem and his family came to Tacoma in 1976 where he began his practice of Ophthalmology with the Tacoma Eye Clinic. In 1990, he opened his solo practice at the Cedar Medical Center. In 2002, Dr. Deem co-​founded Eye MDs of Puget Sound.

Dr. Deem is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, has additional specialty training in internal medicine and has served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. In addition, he volunteers with Eye Care of America, and he is the Ophthalmology consultant to Pediatrix, a group that manages premature infant care in the South Sound region.
