Dr. Geissler, co-owner of Eye MDs of Puget Sound, continues to provide expert eye care in a comfortable, professional environment. He began using multifocal lens technology in 2004, one of the first ophthalmologist to implement this technology. And now we are proud to offer bladeless laser assisted cataract surgery along with the latest multifocal lens options. Business Owner
Trained as both a basic scientist and surgeon, Dr. Geissler strives to provide cutting edge medical and surgical care to his patients. A Tacoma native and second generation Ophthalmologist, Dr. Geissler obtained his MS in Toxicology and PhD in Anatomy/Immunology from University of Washington. He went on to complete medical school at the UW with specialty eye training at the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Geissler has published numerous scientific studies in diverse fields including Ophthalmology, Cancer treatment, Immunology and Toxicology. He continues to be active in clinical research in addition to practicing medicine. He has a special interest in Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery and Laser Refractive surgery (LASIK, Epi-LASIK) and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Geissler and his wife Alberta reside in South Puget Sound with their two children.
