I love taco time. I usually eat here couple times a month. When I went today, I learned a valuable lesson. Usually I have no problems with my order. Today however no. The guy(young white male) acted like he couldn’t be bothered. He rushed me thru only to have to wait at the window. He didn’t give me a receipt. My food was wrong and I was missing stuff. But I didn’t have a receipt to even prove what I did or didn’t get for my $ 16. To top it off he didn’t give me napkins or hot sauce. I love this place but I guess we need a break, the food was still yummy tho.

I would not recommend eating here. For my lunch I ordered the chicken habanero burrito. The burrito was seasoned mostly with habanero flavored Tabasco. I happen to despise all Tabasco products. The salsa on the side had a tomato base as you’d expect, but tasted like it had solely been season with Tabasco… Which I hate. I had the opportunity to try other items that my fellow lunch goes ordered. Sometimes a menu will have a dud, not a huge deal. The veggie burrito that I tried was not good. It fell short with the lack of ingenuity. A bean and cheese burrito with a raw salad mix(iceberg, cabbage, carrots, celery) is a sad excuse for a «veggie» burrito. The fried burrito doesn’t quite qualify either. It’s size compared to the other burritos, was approximately half. Not to mention the indistinguishable paste it was filled with and greasy exterior. That’s pretty lame. The only saving grace were the tots. Even though we had asked for ketchup, there was none to be found. My only dunking option was my Tabasco salsa, which will never again touch these lips. All in all, the highlight of my meal was my root beer. I would be less critical if my distant aunt or friends mom made me this. I would smile and say it was the best, but she didn’t, and it wasn’t.

Nice new location, otherwise a disappointment. The dining room needed a sweep and the tables a wipe down. Had the two fish taco meal — one taco tasted fresh, the other as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for the afternoon. Both tacos had more toppings on them than fish. We still like Taco Time, though we won’t be going back to this location.

Poor customer service. One of the employees swore & blamed another employee when wrong order was delivered to customer. Waited 25 min for«fast food».

Horrible customer service, lazy employees that hate their job and blame the customers. I got off work hungry looking to eat of course and was greeted by some freckled face chick with the worst attitude sad thing is she was decent looking but her attitude made her ugly as hell. Get it together YOUREGETTINGPAIDTODOYOURJOB.

Ordered the Big Time Mexi Burrito and the past few times I’ve unwrapped the paper, there has been a hole in the tortilla and everything spills out. What in the hell kind of burrito is that.

It is not likely that I will be returning to this restaurant. By biggest complaint about this establishment is that they are more concerned with moving the drive-through than helping the customers in the lobby. This has happened every time I’ve visited. Tonight it took them 15 minutes to complete my order, nachos. While I was waiting a customer brought his order back up to the counter upset that his food was cold. The cashier was pretty rude to him an threw his order away making sure to bang the trays together as loudly as possible. When she finally brought my nachos I made sure to ask if she remembered my sour cream. She said it was in there but it wasn’t. It was a pretty crappy experience and the nachos sucked to be honest. Ultimately I just wish they would pay as much attention to the lobby customers as the drive-through.

Clean place and great customer service skills. Soft taco is delicious. Tator tots are cooked great. The service is quick. Great for college students or doing your homework. The price is better as well.

Dear Taco Time, I was so excited to know that you were only 6 blocks away but that was quickly squashed upon my first visit. The staff at the drivethru was about as unwelcoming as a nome, he failed to say«hello» give us the total amount just swiped our card and handed it back. Points loss but no biggie cuz the food is going to be bomb. NOPE! My churos were luke warm and obviously old. The baja taco was about the same except that the tortilla hadn’t been cooked all the way so instead of holding the cooled Beans and veggies it broke apart spilling them all over my lap. My wife’s fit-hit bowl was about the same cooled and lifeless. Hopefully they can step up there game Or I’ll be forced to eat at Taco Bell

What Time? Taco Time? So, most people up in the PNW are familiar with what Taco Time is, but being a transplant from an area that takes its Mexican food very seriously I was very surprised with what I found at Taco Time. Weird as it may be: I’m kind of in love with it. Mexican food: If you’re looking to grub on some real tacos/burritos/sopes, head to the taco truck down the street. However, if you’re looking for a fast food fix, Taco Time is the place to be. It’s nothing like Del Taco or Taco Bell. Food is better quality(no mooshy ground beef, here) and there are definitely some interesting items(like sweet potato tots and a crisp burrito, which is basically a huge, fried taquito filled with what i believe to be cream cheese???) Environmentally friendly: Yes, a fast food joint that cares about more than multiplying your daily caloric intake. Dine-in customers are asked to sort their waste into compost, recycling, and trash. I definitely appreciate this effort, even if it takes me a few extra seconds to clean-up and get out! Drive ‘thru’: The drive-thru at this location is a little awkward. Luckily, I have a car with a pretty tight turn radius, but I cant imagine someone in a truck or van making it through the tight turn before the ordering area with much ease. Service: Service is fine. Really, you cant expect too much out of a fast food joint, and i would say Taco Time’s service is better than the average. Everyone I have encountered is pretty friendly and has gotten my order correct. TLDR: Taco Time is weirdly awesome and among your best options for fast food in Tacoma.

Check Your Order before driving away. Most of the time this place is friendly if not fast, but tonight — for Not the first time — they got our order wrong, and we didn’t find out until we got home. Boo.

I have total loves for the crispy beef and chicken burrito things that Taco Time sells. I know the chicken variety is pretty much chicken, cream cheese, and maybe a little cayenne and powdered ranch dressing all rolled up in a tortilla and fried, but OHEMGEE, they’re hardcore delicious. The soft tacos are also legit. I wouldnt call TT mexican food by any means, but it brings back nostalgic childhood memories at a decent price. This particular one is close to my Dads house, and I come here whenever I cant stand my step moms hippy lentil cooking.

I generally like Taco Time, as their food doesn’t make me feel sick like most other fast-food place. This location however, doesn’t seem to adhere to the hours listed on their website, which is pretty annoying.

Dear Taco Time, It pains me to take a 5 star rating off of any of your establishments, such is my TT fanatacism… but you need to take heed: the staff at this branch needs more training. I’m guessing that, when you closed the old TT down the street, you lost much of the solid crew that worked there. Some of that crew had been there for a few years, I recognized them and they knew me… I probably scared them with my huge orders. Well, no one at the new branch knows how to cook mexi-fries. We both know that’s pretty serious, don’t we? The mexi-fries here are undercooked almost 100% of the time. They are never seasoned… I know some branches don’t seem to use«the» seasoning salt, but 6th Ave doesn’t seem to salt their fries at all. Further, we have had a litany of bad items here. I think the staff here finds the Veggie Soft Taco a joke… they don’t know how to make it. Twice it’s been so tiny from lack of ingredients that I almost drove back. Sometimes the soft burritos have been too salty or the Beef Soft Taco’s been runny, etc, etc… We’ve even had bad Crisp Chicken Burritos here. I don’t know how that happens… I love you, Taco Time, and I am a huge defender/cheerleader for you. So, please, if I am complaining — do something. We are probably losing a lot of potential converts with the mediocre execution here. Call me! Jay Update — 2

I don’t really do fast food, but I’ve driven thru here a few times since the grand re-opening. The service is fast, and the food is better than a Taco Bell or Del Taco. I’d rather hit a Qdoba or Taco Del Mar, but if you need it fast, this is a good option.

I tend not to adventure myself into chain stores for Mexican food with an exception to chipotle. To no surprise, I found myself disappointed big time. My taco salad order came with no crust, only 4 pieces of cold chips and looked to be worth $ 1 from McDonald’s. A lady on the counter would rather laugh hysterically with her co worker instead of ringing me up. In addition, their salsa tasted super salty. I learned my lesson once again.
