Roto-Rooter

Had a flood in my basement last Sunday night. Called Roto Rooter and they were super fast to respond and arrive at my house. The guy took care of figuring out which pipe was blocked. The next day Jason N. (1599) from water restoration came to the house to assess the damage. He was great. Can’t say enough positive things about him and the other 2 guys. Matt S. (1247) and Hming (1011) Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Went above and beyond and I couldn’t be happier with their service. Highly recommend!

I called roto rooter for a blocked storm drain. They came and snaked my storm drain. They charged me $ 400 for this with a 30 day gaurantee. It rained the following week. It flooded again. They snaked my toilet drain. Apparently my 30 day guarantee was good for nothing becuase they charged me $ 675 for this. I called Roto-​rooter about this and they told me that if it was found that the city’s sewer system was the problem, then I would not be charged, and they would contact the city. Later that evening the plumber called me to inform me that it was the cities problem AND to ask me for $ 675. I paid out of courtesy, and called customer service back. I could not reach who I previously spoke to, and they directed me to a manager. The manager told me I was misinformed and that I would be charged.
1. Roto-​rooter does not honor its 30 day guarantee
2. Someone at roto rooter is lying about the customer’s responsibility when the city is the problem. Or, their policy is simply about how much money they can get out of your pocket.
I would not go to roto-​rooter again, as their policies for protecting the customer are falsely stated claims. I caution other home-​owners before calling Roto-​Rooter.

I would not have thought that Roto Rooter would be such a good experience with plumbing. Wrong. Very pleased.
Leaking kitchen faucet on a Sunday morning. Plus hot water pipe frozen. Guy came within an hour of calling. Courteous. Tried to rebuild the faucet first. Didn’t work. We had to run out and get a new faucet. He waited to make sure he could finish the job. While waiting, he found out where the frozen hot water pipe was. Couldn’t fix it but let us know what to do. Installed the new faucet.
While it cost a little more than I wanted to pay, it was way worth it. Guy shows up on a Sunday within an hour of the call. Is courteous. Goes the extra mile with us to get the new faucet. Very pleased.
