Absolutely the best ever. I will return again and again! It never ceases to amaze me with the delivery. The Hibachi Chef was so much fun, and the food is always to die for. Their prices are always rising, though. If they keep raising their prices, I don’t know if I’ll come back.

The food and service was not as expected for the price. We were told a wait was expected for a table as they needed to be cleaned. After a half an hour we sat at the bar. While the waitress at the bar was knowledgeable and attentive the food was subpar.

Just left and had a wonderful experience! Our chef tonight was George and he was truly amazing. His skills were on point, he was so pleasant and entertaining we hope to go back and have him again. The food was cooked perfectly and was delicious can’t wait to go back again.

This restaurant is a HORRIBLE PLACE! We called in for reservation on Thursday. The guy on the phone told me the sit would be available for us at 8:30 PM, and asked me number, name for future contact. He said if anything would change he would call us to let us know.
But when we showed up in the restaurant, the server told us they cannot sit up and it got delayed indefinitely. I was very unhappy, then another server told us to gave them 10 – 15 mins She guaranteed twice we would have a sit by then.
We waited for 20+ mins, the second server was gone and never came back. Finally we were told they cannot sit us again without apologize. According to them the waiting time is indefinite (at that point it was already 9PM). No one apologize no any sign at all. Every server acted very «busy» walking around, swiping menus etc. When I finally complained to them, a guy showed up asked me to repeat again (3 times I explained to different servers at this point what is going on), and he only told me «we are sorry» with a poker face and an expression as if saying «what you can do about it».
This place is freaking horrible, This is the second time things like this happened to me in the same restaurant. I’ve never experience anything like this before in any restaurant and I’ve never seen any restaurant as disorganized as this one. All the servers look very unhappy to work there.
What is the whole point of making reservation if it means nothing to them? What is the whole point of asking your number and name if they cannot even give you a simple phone call in beforehand? The way they treat customers is very disrespectful.
I know a random customer review probably means nothing. I do not know how Unilocal rating system works. According to all the post, this restaurant is definitely not worth a 4 stars in here. Whoever plans to go there please be aware of this. The worst place in Tampa bay.

Update: after this happened, the next day I sent the manager of this restaurant an email to complain. The manger responded quickly, he/​she offered a $ 50.00 dollar discount for my next visit. However, it is nothing about the money, I’m not complaining for that and I’m sure I will not set my feet in that restaurant again. So I refused this offer. Even the email is very standard email I figured I should give the manager’s response some credit by updating in here.

Fabulous!!! What an amazing time! The food was absolutely wonderful! The service was amazing!!! Our hibachi chef George was awesome! He was talkative and friendly and accommodated all of our needs!!! I could not be happier!!!

Wife and i went just for the sushi and it was great. There version of the spider roll is outstanding and there super California roll was tasty as well. It’s a new location and it looked great. We sat at the bar and had a yummy time. The food was to good to remember to take a photo. Maybe next time

This place is excellent in all regards. Took our 3 young kids and they had a blast. George did a wonderful job with the fun and entertainment. Highly recommend going here

I cannot express enough how much I love this place! This is the only hibachi grill I’ve ever been to that gives rice and noodles, and both are great. From the soup to the salad to the veggies and meat, everything here tastes so good! But the best part of our experience here is always the chef George! We ask for him every time, even if we have to wait longer. He is so funny and an awesome show man! We love when he breathes fire! His facts about all kinds of different things are so interesting too. My daughter is 9 and loves to learn from the stuff he talks about!

This location has initiated some very clear cost cutting measures and it really negatively impacted my family’s most recent experience dining here. Portions were smaller, the soup now contains diced instead of sliced mushrooms, the majority of your plate is heaped with simple spaghetti and there were almost no veggies. Although the service was e cells to during our last visit, I have in the past received terrible service, waiting for 45 minutes with a scarce apology for the table to simply heat up (we were told) and this was for a child’s birthday celebration wherein our party filled the whole table. Kobe is the only place of which I am aware in the New Tampa area for a Japanese steak house-​style experience but expect to pay more for less.

Typical hibachi food. The service for drinks was soooo slow! We had reservations and still waited for 15 minutes for a glass of water & other beverages throughly the meal. The server could have doubled his tab if he was around. There were at least a dozen in a party who wanted an additional adult beverages and sat empty handed, asking the chef for service. When we asked where Minh was, we were told «he has another table». For the management, if you know there is a party coming in, have a dedicated server for them. Hibachis are hibachis, per usual, service sets you apart. Our party of 19 was let down.

I’ve had sushi at Kobe several times for sushi. This time we went for the dinner. The food had too much butter. It needs to be spicer also. The service wss good. The portion size was huge. It is worth the money. I just wish I could have a smaller portion and be able to control the flavor.

I’ve gone a few times. The main sushi chef was extremely rude while I was sitting at the bar. The food is very average and the drinks are overpriced for what they are. Overall was not a good experience. I will not be returning to this location.

Not coming here again. Most tasteless and bland hibachi I have had. The fish quality was below average, which translates into don’t freaking eat it. The wasabi had no kick.

I always say you can judge a sushi restaurant solely on tasting the wasabi. If the wasabi is fresh (aka lights your sinuses up) the fish will be on point. If you can eat a pea sized dab of wasabi and it does nothing, gtfo. If the Sushi chef can’t provide something as simple as wasabi fresh, how do you think the fish will be? The fish will be below average, every time. Never fails.

The food here is always so delicious and the kids enjoy the wait time by watching the large koi in their indoor koi pond! The hostess tonight was very nice and even offered to look up my rewards card number since I did not have it with me.
We sat in a booth/​bar area with the kids, since we save hibachi dining for special occasions only. Our server was excellent and had such great customer service skills (as we have had him serve us before). Kids meals were huge, as an adult could have easily been satisfied with their portion (win!). Our 7 year old had her own meal and our 1 year old and 3 year old split the last dinner. My husband and I had the adult portion of shrimp and chicken stir fry, which is same as hibachi, just a smaller portion and less expensive! All was excellent including the soup and salad! Just be aware that they charge $ 1 extra for the fried rice, as we were expecting to have both like at the hibachi table. The large booth we sat in was much quieter and at the our request, the server was able to get us in and out just in time for the kids early bedtime!

I have been here many times and always had a great experience! I have tried everything on the menu and love everything. It is all up to you what you are having: steak, chicken, seafood, but it’s all prepared the same way, on the grill in front of you. All meals come with fried rice, vegetables, and noodles. They also have sushi bar and sushi are delicious. We always bring kids with us, they enjoy the show! Bar drinks are pretty good, my favorite are sangria, mai thai, and scorpion. The best part is their early bird menu and happy hour! And it’s always a lot of food, enough to stuff yourself and also bring leftover home for next day. This place is good for pretty much any ocassion like birthdays, big parties, family night out, but not for a romantic date, don’t expect private quite romantic dinner lol.

Place is expensive, but a good time for a special occasion.

I always have a good experience here. Employees are always friendly and pleasant. And the food is always good. My husband and I have made it our tradition to bring our out-​of-​the-​country-​visitors here. They are all sushi fans. I love their drink bowl for 2. You will definitely feel tipsy after one of those. Just wish they would expand their sushi menu a little bit. We have never tried out the hibachi though.
