Established in 2014.

Aspire Wellness has grown out of a desire to give back and try to change the stigma that is mental illness. My motivation came from growing up in a home filled with untreated mental illness with no coping skills. This created an insecure and unstable childhood. I saw an unmet need to help those get through the difficult challenges that mental illness causes in their lives. It’s typically poorly understood with inconsistent treatment. Helping people to find hope and healing is my passion.

I recognized a need in the industry where my clients could have personalized psychiatric medical evaluations in a comfortable atmosphere for more than standard 15 minutes. We combine good psychiatry, where needed, with effective psychotherapy sessions. A very personalized approach to mental healthcare. Dr. Baroya joined Aspire Wellness after we collaborated on several clinical research studies dealing with bi-​polar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, PTSD, and addiction. Wellness is a gift.

Meet the Business Owner

Curt M.

Business Owner

Curt McLaughlin, M.S. is a registered bilingual clinical counselor trained at Capella University and BYU. For the last ten years, he has been working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings.

He has been the Clinical Research Director & Medical Science Liaison, conducting multiple clinical research trials and has extensive research experience in the areas of major depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. He has worked as a therapist at LDS Family Services, the Riverside County Department of Mental Health, and in the AB109 program. He is currently under the supervision of Dr. Rajagopal Keerthy Sunder, board certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine.

Outside of work, Curt is a husband of 20 years and a father of six, in which he takes great pride and joy.

Dr. Ivan S. Baroya offers his psychiatry services, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a licensed physician and surgeon in California.
