Custom Cuts Barber Shop

Best barber in town! I discovered this place 3 months ago and am a now regular customer. Love the atmosphere, the fantastic customer service, and the skills of the barbers. There is not a more skilled, better-​value place out there for your next haircut.

Chris is the only one I let cut my hair now. He is amazing. Today I came in for a haircut and a full shave and I felt like I went back in time to an old-​school barber shop where they actually care and pay attention to details. Chris took his time and used all the right stuff and plenty of hot towels. My face has never had a closer shave and the balm he uses smells like mint. I feel like a million bucks. I never write reviews, and I was hesitant because I don’t want to have to wait three hours for Chris LOL but he is definitely worth it and I wanted to give him a shout out. Thanks for loving what you do bro, it definitely shows! See you soon.

I moved to the area in 2006 and it took me a couple of years to find the right place. It was such a blessing to discover Custom Cuts! Tim, who is one of the owners, is my guy there, ‘though I also have gotten fantastic haircuts from David and Eric many, many times. Can’t recommend this place enough. Quick, cool, personable without being fake friendly, efficient, decent prices, parent and kid-​friendly, and they carry a great selection of pomades, combs, etc.

We love Casper! He’s a great barber and easy to talk to. He is always so friendly and makes my 13 year old son feel very comfortable!

So apparently this shop is homophobic seeing that my wife walks in and gets no greeting, only thing said to her «we only do men’s cuts». Uhh she has short hair so obviously she’s not there to get a damn perm, extensions, etc.
At the end of the day, we found a great barber out in Banning CA who isn’t intimidated by the presence of a lesbian stud and knows how to be professional.
Don’t come here unless you are a straight male!!!

Gave them another shot. Hard to pass up a place that does legit cuts and shaves. The guys working did a great job for me and the little man. We walked out happy and clean cut. This shop and crew are really masters at their craft. Go see them but be ready for a wait and remember where your place in line is as there is no system by the shop. If they had a better check in and kept track of who is up next they would have gotten the 5^th star.

I don’t normally write a review as this is my first one on Unilocal and I have to let everyone know about this place. Got a fresh ass cut from Daniel. This was my first time here and Daniel made me feel like a regular. I’m pretty sure all the barbers would do the same. As of now, Daniel will be my go to Barber out here in Temecula. He has definitely won me over as a client with him and I will be returning to custom cuts for my haircuts. Will definitely let everyone I know to come out here to custom cuts for their next haircuts.

I went in to get a cut here after a barber at Legends Barber Shop butchered my hairline. At first, I was a little put off by the price ($ 20 for a cut is twice what I’m used to paying) but I can honestly say now that it is worth every penny. My hair looked DOPE. As a female with really short hair I usually turn to barbers when it comes to getting it cut– and i must say this is the best haircut ive ever had.
Bonus points for the warm towels they used to open my pores before they do a straight razor line up.

Custom Cuts is hands down the best place to get a cut in the inland empire, or possibly all of Southern California from what I’ve experienced. As a prior Marine having to get a haircut once a week, and now civilian with high standards on Barber shops, the talent and great atmosphere make for the best place to get a hair cut/​styled. Casper the Barber has always provided me with the best service, laid-​back but completely professional at all times in the ultimate man-​cave style shop. Rustic, old school style, bringing back the true trade of barbering. Will never go back to any run-​of-​the-​mill type shops again.

Came here because of all the great reviews and also wanted to try somewhere else new from my little ghost town south from Temecula. I was TRULY DISAPPOINTED.
1. We came in saying HI and HELLO and no response from the 6 barbers that were there. Not even a «what can we do for you or theres 2 people before you or we’ll be right with you» .
2. Cash register girl has staring problems and was just hidden in her back room while customers waited for her to even notice that they’re already done and waiting to pay.
3. They honestly need a sign up sheet or something to keep track of all the clients coming in. They just finish up with someone and say «who’s next» so everyone looks around the room trying to figure out who is actually next. What is this musical chairs ?
4. My boyfriend asked for a certain hair cut and the barber did NOT do what was asked and just did a similar haircut that I could’ve done at home for my boyfriend.
5. They cut my boyfriends neck with the blade they use… BAD. Someone needs more practice.
6. From the moment I stepped in their shop the vibe was NOT GOOD. You guys need to lighten up start a conversation with your client. I even felt awkward for the guys who were getting their haircut right in front of me !!! Even the barber that attended my bf said «and this is the awkward phase» before he even started with his hair. Uhmmm okay ?
7. Cool place, I like the vintage feel and all the decorations.
But thats the only good I can write for you guys sorry I was honestly let down, I expected so much.

Was in again for a haircut last week. Casper and Dave were busy so I tried out a «new guy» named Tim. Turns out Tim is one of the owners. Nice guy, great haircut.
One sad note, my incredibly quaffed mulleted friend from Pittsburgh is no longer at the shop. Great guy, I’ll miss him

It’s all men who cut other men’s hair. It’s a really cool place. My husband says that these men are the best. He never gets a bad cut by any of them. They are all great barber’s. I went today and I really liked being there. Very neat place.

Chris was my Barber… it was my first time here since moving to Temecula. I loved his amazing service and all the guys at the shop are very chill and laid back.
Defiantly coming back for my next cut.

This is THE PLACE to get an AMAZING cut/​trim whatever have you.
I have cut my own hair for years now as I felt I could do a decent job myself and save myself the awkwardness of talking to someone I didn’t know for a haircut that I always had to touch up when I got home.
I came to Custom Cuts because I grew a beard and don’t know a thing about trimming them. So I walked in with a scraggly beard and came out with the best damn haircut I have ever had and a fresh clean looking beard.
My experience was fantastic, got sat down with Casper and he suggested I get my hair cut to match my beard. I was hesitant at first, but after watching Casper do his magic on a few other customers ahead of me I was an easy sell and said «Yeah let’s do it!». I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Casper truly is a wizard in his craft!
Not much more to say but the décor is very masculine and all the barbers look like they know their stuff. I felt right at home and will not hesitate to go back.
And so ends the saga of my self cut hair. Casper was truly an awesome guy and I can’t say enough good things about the whole experience.

Let’s start with the obvious. The haircuts are awesome. Not much else needs to be said. If you’re looking for an awesome men’s barbershop then this is the place.
The problem is their system. They have no sign-​in sheet. Typical wait times can be over an hour easily, especially depending on which barber you’re waiting for.
There is no system to keep track of who’s next in line. The patrons are responsible for keeping track of who’s next by themselves. So you spend your entire time in the waiting room trying to mentally keep track of who was there when you arrived, and who has come into the building since you sat down.
When there’s 10+ people in the waiting room it’s easy to lose track. When a barber finishes a cut he simply says «who’s next?». All the patrons look around at each other frantically trying to determine who is next. Someone will randomly pop up and head over to the barber’s chair. They never keep track of it themselves, so they have no idea if someone is cutting in line.
I’ve had several instances where people that came in much later than me, stood up and went over to the chair. I was either on my phone, or didn’t catch it at the time.
Look if I’m going to wait in line for over an hour to get my hair cut, I don’t want to spend that time playing musical chairs and trying to guess who is up next.
Just put a sign up sheet in the waiting area. Is that so difficult? Then there is no more confusion, and your patrons can relax and play with their phones or go outside and have a smoke and not have to worry about «who is next».
I love the haircuts, but the system makes coming to get a haircut unnecessarily stressful. If they could just fix his, then they would be 5+ stars easily.

I’ve been up and down California and through the Midwest. Last time I got a cut this nice was when I did a promoting gig for Baxter of California. That was when they put their best barber on me and it would’ve cost $ 40 (if I had to pay). For $ 20 + tip, I’d make Danny my go-​to if he wasn’t located in the backwater Inland Empire.

–Came to this for the first time over a year ago and have been going every month since.
–The wait can suck but it’s worth the wait for the quality you get.
–If you are a «FIRST TIMER» make sure you take advantage of the coupon they offer.
–It really doesn’t matter who you get, they all do great work. I have been going to Eric but I have had cuts from Casper and Danny. Both did amazing work but you will wait a LONG time if you want Casper because he is the most popular.
–CASH ONLY. Just so you can avoid the $ 3 AT fee
–They raised their prices but they are still fair. Men’s $ 20, Boy’s $ 15 (tip NOT included)
