Temecula European Auto

Completely went sideways on me, thought I had found someone to service my Audi long term, then out of the blue (while my vehicle was in for service) the owner tells me over the phone he can no longer service my vehicle, that working with me added too much stress and it just wasn’t good for his mental well being.
To be frank, I was speechless, but he had done well by me up to that point so I digressed, regrouped on the spot said I understood and walked away without a negative response, even followed that with a text of no hard feelings not sure what I had done if anything but no worries, if you’d like to talk let me know, of he did give me about $ 150 of free service. He never replied.
Now, I’m Christian I «REALLY» try to turn the other cheek but, after spending over $ 8500 on my car in his shop and writing a lengthy positive Unilocal review to help a smaller local business (which he thanked me for,) I spent about two months wondering what went wrong, then, I found out what I had suspected to be a major part of his reasoning, my vehicle had a cracked head, beyond repair, a $ 5000 replacement, now I won’t be too quick or snap judgement because I did have a smog free non oem down pipe installed and an upgraded ECU flash tune but nothing crazy by any stretch and all done at an Authorized APR tuning shop in San Diego, there’s only one so you can figure out who I’m speaking about, but he European Auto Temecula had done a 24 hour leak test on my cooling system, this was a pressurized test meaning constant static pressure not fluctuating or dynamic (alternating pressure) but there was no leak found, and no coolant loss– I don’t know for sure but seems suspect.
This test was done because I complained after the AC repair that the car was surging and blowing occasional white smoke that had a fuel/​oil smell, can sometimes be confused with the G13 German synthetic coolant Audi’s-VW-BMW’s typical of my year use. European Auto said that’s fairly typical of A4B6 model Audi’s w/​1.8t power plant-​ok)
The test was free, $ 150 value but the commentary about no longer servicing my vehicle is now a bit more suspect, albeit somewhat clearer in overall scheme.
EA also replaced TWO AC compressors, the first was catastrophic failure and frankly could have happened for various reasons, so no finger to point, but the second was VERY expensive because the system needed to be completely purged for metal, which when he first installed was fine, drive for about ⁵⁄₇ days bring back swap out me tail filter, if clean for about a month should be fine, but when I brought it back almost 3 months later he told me (honestly) that he’d made a mistake and overcharged the AC system, because Audi’s coolant is done by a $ 4500 piece of equipment that takes into account barometric atmospheric pressure/​ambient temperature/​altitude and humidity and adds the coolant very slowly while purging for air pockets, he was honest, and he brought me back drained and repeated.

Well, that second AC compressor «just» did the same exact thing! 9 months later. I took the vehicle all the way to another state to a RENOWNED Audi specialist because I have to know if I got suckered! I did… DANG IT!!!
AC compressor#2 catastrophic failure /​Cause beyond any doubt (Over charged cooling system) proved by the same $ 4500 piece of equipment supposedly used to charge my system the first time, the equipment actually has vacuum and reads the ECU at original coolant installation weights, the remaining coolant in the system to diagnose other possible failure points (pretty trick system)…
So… European Autosport in Temecula WILL BE HEARING FROM ME… Sorry, just because I stressed you out, or you made mistakes that you would rather not have to possibly deal with down the road, doesn’t mean you get to walk away, I let it ride, found out the hard way and now we need to discuss what your business reputation means to you… To be continued… But for now, 1 Star, because I’m Christian, and 2 more because we all make mistakes and just maybe I need to apply the benefit of the doubt here for now…
Lord, if I’m wrong please show me the error of my ways so I can reconcile this. But if I’m right, please help resolve this in a positive way.

Okay, I’ve been looking for an honest Audi mechanic for quite some time for my 2005 Audi A8L, Dom the owner has had years of experience working at Audi of miramar (check out the wall in the office) and knows all you need to know about Audi’s and VW’s, this is a straight shooter of a guy, he’s honest won’t give you the runaround and his prices are way cheaper than the dealer,
I had my ABS/​ESP and Park Brake light activated, from his years of experience he knew it was most likely the brake peddle switch which it was he preordered it before i showed up and installed it in less than 45 minutes.
Take you car here you will not be disappointed,

Great shop! I took my audi there a few years ago for a suspension maintenance repair, and he quoted me about half the price that audi did. It was fast service, and I even requested to pick up my car earlier than scheduled due to a prior engagement, and he accomodated. I would recommend this auto shop to anyone with a german car.

Honest and affordable!!! I used to take my Volkswagen Jetta here until I moved away from the area. I always felt that Dom was honest with me. My dad is pretty handy with cars, Dom would take him back and show him the work that my dad could do on his own to save me a little money. And Dom would do the rest for a very reasonable price! I’ve gone through several mechanics that have been very dishonest, so I am not an easy customer, but I always left his shop happy! Dom’s a great guy!!!

Dead cell in my 2009 Audi A6 battery. Since it was late I had my car dropped off after hours and left a note. Dom called me as soon as the shop opened and quickly diagnosed what was wrong with the car. He shopped around and gave me multiple prices and places he could get my battery. We chose one and he had it swapped out and the car coded right away, he even remembered to reset my clock. Dom worked at San Diego Audi for a long time and knows his Audi’s. I had a corner marker light that the dealership wanted $ 80 for parts and labor, Dom gave free labor after I bought the bulb for $ 5.99. Great honest guy.

I first went to Dom because I found out that he was doing some good things for our local food pantry and wanted to give him some business to reward his charitable nature. I now go to him because he is the most trustworthy mechanic I have ever encountered.
I have a 2013 Passat TDI that I wouldn’t take any place else as well as an older Dodge truck that he keeps running for me.
He is a jewel.

Needed a window repair on my 06′ VW. I was referred to Dom from a friend. He got us fixed up quickly with the confidence that the work was done right. Dom is a quality guy who knows his business.

Dom is great. I had a problem with my car but the closest dealership to me was in San Diego. I was actually referred by the dealership to go here to have Dom check out my car to see if it was even going to be drivable to San Diego to get it looked at. He was able to get me right in when I called. He tested my car and made sure it was able to be driven to the dealership which I really appreciated. I will be going here for all services on my car.

We have been going to Dom with our foreign cars — Mercedes, VW and Jaguar for a few years now. He is an extremely competant mechanic, and very reasonable in his pricing. He always takes the time to explain what the real problem is, and doesn’t oversell service we don’t need. I am so grateful to find a great and honest mechanic.

My wife and I recently moved to the area and were in need of an honest and trustworthy mechanic for our Euro cars. I brought my wife’s Audi Q5 to Dom and his professionalism and service exceeded my expectations. It was comforting to know that he specializes in Audi’s and had worked at Audi San Diego for over 15 years.
His pricing was very reasonable. Dom took the time to explain what my wife’s vehicle needed and what it didn’t. Needless to say, we’ve found what we were looking for in a mechanic. I would definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here.

Dom was amazing. He is a genuine down to earth guy. He isn’t there to rip you off. He worked on my car and did a complete analyzation to check everything. He made sure that everything was working and fixed properly. He is reasonable when it come to price. I am going to go to him now every time I need something done, even something as simple as an oil change.
I highly recommend going to him for service if you have a Euro car. =)

Let me start with my story, I live in Orange County and it took me about 2 years to find a great mechanic with fair prices. My car started over heating as soon as I got to the Temecula area for a visit, I spent 4 days calling every mechanic in the area, took my BMW to 3 different shops before this one, no luck and no honesty at all. Finally on Monday I call this shop right at 8 when they open, he answers right away and tells me not to worry that he would get my car fixed by any means possible and he even knew the problem without looking at my car at all. Dom knows what he is doing better than any mechanic I have ever encountered and I live in an area with high demand for European mechanics! He had my water pump done in under 4 hours despite the fact that it was a busy Monday and my car runs perfectly thanks to him. The best part though was the customer service and his great price for the work he did. If you want knowledgeable and honest work done on your car come here! Don’t waste your time anywhere else. Dom is a master of European cars and is as trustworthy as it gets. Nothing short of a life saver!

I recently took my 2003 Mercedes E500 to Temecula European Auto due to a tail light problem. I was on a tight schedule as I had a long trip the next morning, but Dom took time out of his very busy schedule to diagnose the problem. He located the problem but to fix it, it would have cost a lot of money and would have required ordering parts that would not have arrived in time.
One thing you can be sure of when you go to Temecula European Auto is that you will not be hustled and sold what you don’t need. You earned my business, Dom!

Our BMW was coming up on the «end of warranty» period and so we decided to have an independent shop give a full inspection in addition to the BMW end of warranty inspection. Sure enough, Dom was able to find a few issues that were conveniently «missed» by the BMW service techs, and we ended up getting BMW to repair these issues under warranty because of it.
Dom was very professional and went the extra mile to try and find anything that BMW might be able to take care of under warranty. He felt bad because our car was already in such great shape that there was very little to uncover, but I told him that our peace of mind was worth the cost of the inspection.
Finally, he was able to refer us to another shop to do our alignment after we purchased new tires, and we were treated very well there also. Looks like Dom will be our BMW guy for years to come!

I wanted to wait to write a review on this place until I serviced my car at least a few times…
This is probably the 4^th place I’ve tried in Temecula to service my BMW & Benz and I have finally found my forever place!
I have never met a mechanic that is honest, upfront, and as FAIR as Dom. He’s serviced our Benz, BMW, and even our commuter beater 96 Corolla (even though he normally doesn’t do non European cars). I could not be more happier with the service we have gotten from Dom. He is super personable, very reliable, & fair in his pricing. He uses genuine parts and really takes car of you and your vehicle.
By far the best experience I’ve had with any Auto repair shop. It is such a relief to know I have a GREAT local place to take all my cars to!!!

I brought my car in to Dom because a message came on saying something about needing rest?
So I thought maybe my newer MB was over heating after an hour drive.
Dom is extremely honest and told me after running a full diagnostic on my car that the car was fine. Come to find out my car has a smart sensor and was asking me if I needed a rest. Funny
I guess the car sensed something like me not pressing on the gas the right way or something. Who knows.
But honestly, he could have been dishonest and told me I need to replace something. I asked him so I don’t have to change a part or anything and he said no and showed me the message in my owners manual.
Every time I bring my German cars to Dom I’m surprised how honest he is.
