I hired Dennis (J) Barela of Temecula’s Best DJ for my wedding just a few years ago. I was so impressed with his service, expertise and showmanship, I hired him again this year for my daughter’s wedding! Dennis is very detail oriented and I felt very safe in knowing my wedding and my daughter’s wedding was orchestrated exactly how we had planned! Dennis provides a fantastic worksheet that makes it simple to coordinate all aspects of the music integration for the event. I had so many comments from guests that said both events were the best weddings they’d ever attended, and never seen a dance floor so filled with people having fun! From his ability to orchestrate the service, the introductions and the music playlists, you can tell Dennis loves what he does and that transfers into all of us getting the event of our dreams! If I could give him 0 stars I would. One is being generous. He took my deposit money and ran with it. Never emailed me back or did any service for me. If you want a good DJ in this area, go with Timmy D productions. We had an AMAZING experience with JOHN Briganti there. Guess in the end it was all meant to be. It’s a shame Dennis took my $ 500 though. That one’s been hard to get over.

Dennis barela was an amazing hire. He came highly recommended by my wedding vendor. He was the first one I called and I’m so glad I didn’t call anyone else. At first my schedule was complicated so I couldn’t meet with him as soon as k needed to so he offered to skype. We video chatted for over an hour about all different things he showed me samples ideas etx. Each time we spoke I got more excited. My dad asked who I wanted and I immediately said Dennis. We met and signed and started the process early. As it got closer to the wedding we talked a couple times and then the day of he was so great. He coordinated with my wedding colors came a couple hours early to set up and offered if I needed to work out any last minute details.
Dennis truly listened to everything I wanted and did so much more. He and my wedding coordinater kept me on my timeline all night when I went to long on something and he kept my crowd interested and wanting more. At the end of the night I even talked to him for like an hour as k watched my guests dance. My mother in law and father both had songs they chose for our dances that they wanted to be a surprise and Dennis respected them and accommodated their wishes
The best part among a few at the end of the night Dennis gave me a cd of all the songs I requested throughout my night. I still listen to it to this day and remember my night.

I had the pleasure of working with Dennis last weekend 10÷25÷14. He was recommended by the owner of the venue our wedding was at Gershon Bachus Vintners. I was a little hesitant to use suggested vendors but trusted the owner of the venue and boy am I glad I did.
Dennis listened to every single one of my requests. I wanted an upbeat full of energy type of reception and Dennis met and exceeded my expectations. Our friends and families danced the night away until the very last song. The flow of the evening was just perfect. Dennis was extremely professional and organized from beginning to end. I knew almost immediately after our first Skype meeting that I was in good hands. I would highly recommend Dennis and promise you will not be disappointed. I can’t wait until I receive our wedding photos to post pictures of everyone getting down on the dance floor.
I can’t thank you enough Dennis you seriously made my wedding reception an absolute party! Dennis also made a CD for us which included all of our wedding music. I can’t stop listening to the CD! Each time I hear a song it takes me back to that exact moment when the song was being played. What a thoughtful gift and surprise. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making our wedding day so memorable! We will forever be grateful!

I wouldnt even give one star if it would let me. Dennis was dishonest when it came to my wedding. We gave him a deposit to lock him in for our wedding date. Unfortunely our venue was going through legal trouble and we had to switch locations just a couple months before our wedding. Dennis returned my email saying he would still hold our deposit valid. After that he NEVER returned my several emails. He took our $ 500 that my fiancé and I scrapped together ourselves and ran with it. Never heard from Dennis again. He is dishonest and unloyal. Thankfully we ended up gettting an AMAZING DJ and it was all in God’s plan. Too bad us young newlyweds were out $ 500 though. :(

We recently had our wedding on June 14, 2014, and we cannot say enough good things about Dennis and the job he did! Dennis was prepared, professional and had the prefect music going all night long. He was excellent at communicating with us in regards to what we wanted and what we did not want at our wedding. He met with us well before the event and gave great suggestions and really understood our vision for the wedding. We could not be happier with how awesome Dennis was. He exceeded all expectations and we would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding or event in the future. Thank you very much Dennis for everything.

I’ll admit I was a little concerned about hiring DJ Dennis of Temecula’s Best DJ (Formerly A Perfect DJ). He penciled our initial appointment on the wrong day and was late to our first meeting. He apologized, and after talking with him I was impressed how well he knew the venue (Gershon Bachus) and was convinced that he was the right man for the job.
I’ll just say he is very thorough. His website is a little on the information overload side, and he has a huge form to fill out and ensures every aspect of your wedding is the way YOU want it. The form includes everything from what songs you want played for the different parts of your wedding to who and who not to take requests from and how outgoing you want the DJ to be. Dennis was very communicative, more so than any of our vendors which I really appreciated. He called me on several occasions to make sure he fully understood what we wanted. A couple of weeks before the wedding we decided we wanted a live musician to play during our ceremony. Dennis had no problem switching things around, asked us a few questions about what equipment/​hookups the musician wanted, and only charged us the difference in setup fees, rebating us for his services and adding the additional equipment fees.
Lets just say things will never go 100% to plan during a wedding, and its up to your vendors to help you through it. Our meal took a lot longer than expected due to an issue with an oven, and DJ Dennis was instrumental in keeping our wedding flowing and our guests entertained. None of our guests even realized it took so long between courses.
All of our guests commented on how much fun our wedding was, and I attribute a lot of that to DJ Dennis’ ability to read the crowd and play something for everyone. I think 90% of our guests were on the dance floor at some point, and the dance floor was never empty! My dad talked Dennis’ ear off, and after the wedding my dad commented on how nice the DJ was and what a good choice we had made.
I can’t thank DJ Dennis enough for making our wedding so memorable and enjoyable. Overall I’d give him 3 stars for first impressions, and 5 stars for wedding day execution.

Dennis of Temecula’s Best DJ (formerly A Perfect DJ) was our DJ this past weekend for our wedding. We emailed a few DJs to get an idea on prices and chose to meet Dennis for coffee. He was my top choice since he has videos I could watch on YouTube and listen to sample mixes he has done online. Dennis has been extremely great with communication since I favor email over phone conversations. When we met, he provided so much information on what to expect from a wedding DJ (since this is my first time interacting with a DJ, I was clueless on what to expect). Had a packet of information that he would have filled our prior to a wedding that would help him set up. He showed us sample songs that are usually chosen for certain portions of weddings (garter toss, first dance etc). Everything was really helpful. Dennis was professional and extremely nice and easy to talk to. On our wedding day, he arrived on time and was ready to go before we were. The entire wedding flow was amazing. At no time did we feel bored. Dennis kept the music upbeat and read the crowd extremely well. Dance floor was never empty and even got this bride to dance the entire night! (it’s hard to get me on the dance floor). My father daughter dance I had requested for the song to blend into an instrumental and he mastered it. I received a copy of the song before the wedding and it brought tears to my eyes it was beautiful. Dennis was uplifting and kept the party going all night. I definitely recommend Dennis Barela for all events.

My Name is Nicole Terry and I had my wedding done by Dennis at Temecula’s best DJ and let me tell you he was better than fantastic. Dennis was very Professional, he went beyond perfection, made sure everyone had a fantastic time, remembered every person in our wedding party, including our family’s name. Dennis was so wonderful and respectful, he actually got lots of work from my wedding. My best friend is Katie Baldridge, and he did her wedding and her sister inlaws wedding also.

Dennis is amazing!!! He did everything I asked and more! I booked a perfect DJ for my wedding in big bear! He was in communication with me the whole time before my wedding making sure that everything I wanted was put in place exactly right! He made each transition in my wedding go smoothly and even though I ran a bit late in the beginning he accommodated to fit everything in!!! I would recommend him to anyone!!! A perfect DJ help make my wedding the dream I had in visioned my whole life!!!

A Perfect DJ was by far the worst decision my wife and I have ever made. My wife saw A Perfect DJ and met Dennis at a bridal fair in Temecula; and then we made the terrible decision to hire A Perfect DJ for the event. First off, Dennis told us he would be there and he did not show up. Instead, somebody else showed up who we have never met nor ever talked to. The guy showed up late to the ceremony, which was on the beach adjacent to the reception building. This guy’s idea of music during the ceremony was plugging his Discman into a speaker. Are you kidding me? Needless to say, horrible feedback from the speakers resulted in NO MUSIC for our ceremony. The bridesmaids had to hum «Here Comes the Bride». At the reception it only got worse. The same guy was DJ’ing from CD’s, which wouldn’t have been that bad but he didn’t know where any of the songs were. Because of that, there was always like a minute delay between each song, making it awkward for people dancing. Dennis tries to pitch that he will introduce the wedding party to the songs you request, but the DJ got the wrong songs for everybody and then he actually FORGOT TO INTRODUCE two of the groomsmen. The worst part was when my wife and I danced for our song. Right after that, my wife and her father danced and the DJ screwed up and played the SAME SONG. It really seemed like the DJ was actually on drugs. We complained afterwards to Dennis and he did nothing to reduce the cost we payed him. He actually insulted us instead and told us he provided everything promised. A Perfect DJ is the worst company in this country; none of this review is an exaggeration.

This is an absolute genuine review and I would not have taken the time to write such a long review if it had not been for the disastrous and unprofessional conduct of A Perfect DJ.
