Good deals. Stock changes quite often so keep that in mind if you see something there you might want.

Apparently it’s «Discount Madness» now, but if you’re familiar with Preferred Distributors, not much has changed(except now there’s a large selection of curtains in the back). Lots of cheap, budget makeup items, gardening and cleaning supplies, stationary and office supplies, a few toys, sometimes clothing(sweatshirts and the like), greeting cards, candles… It’s always worth swinging by to see what you can grab for cheap. However, we always make it a point to come by when the plants are out for the spring and summer. The geraniums here are *MUCH* cheaper than Mahoneys Too down the road, and they’re just as good(if not better — we’ve had nothing but hardy flowers that last almost entirely through the summer)!

It’s a dollar store on steroids! Never know what you’ll find when you walk in. On this particular trip, I saw giant hoop earrings for a dollar, discontinued bottles of Suave shampoo, bath mats, shower curtains, discount candy, embroidered messenger bags from a 2003 parochial school charity campaign, and oodles more. It’s easy to make a case for whatever you buy here, given the reasonable pricing of the store’s contents. I did, indeed, justify the need to purchase the following: a box of colored pencils(in the unlikely event I’ll need them for a craft project), a small Coleman cooler(in the unlikely event I’ll need to go to the beach), a bag of assorted coin wrappers(Note: I actually put these to good use that evening, given my aversion to using the Coinstar machine at the local grocery mart), and tie-dyed Ralph Lauren socks(in the unlikely event I’ll need to go to a hippie-themed party). Heh. hippies.

An interesting little place with all sorts of odds and ends from clothing and cards to automotive and kitchen. Great prices and always something different to see. Sells plants in summer as well.
