Simply the best Bariatric program in Ventura county! From Martha L. the office manager who expertly guided me through the insurance approval process to Erica the nutritionist that was recommended everyone was professional and extremely competent. Dr Mehran is through and compassionate. My surgery went flawlessly. And the follow up care has been great. I received so much education regarding my procedure. I am 6 months out and rid of 80 pounds. I feel great. Only regret is that I wish I’d found the University Bariatric Program 10 years ago!

I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Mehran. Dr. Mehran is superbly qualified and experienced; he is a top tier doctor in his specialties. He removed my gallbladder with some unique challenges and existing conditions I presented. Everything went perfectly! He took the time to explain my situation, alternatives to consider and together we decided on the best course of action. He thoroughly answered all my questions in terms I understood. He was very easy to talk to, listened to me and understood my extenuating factors as a patient. He was cautious to ensure unexpected complications did not arise and effectively managed the risks. He clearly had my well-​being and health foremost in mind and it felt like he was a family member. The post-​op follow-​ups in the hospital and the in-​office were excellent. I couldn’t ask for more. Dr, Mehran is a super doctor and I highly recommend him.

Under Dr Mehran’s care, I lost 110 pounds, ridding me of all Co morbidities that controlled my every waking moment. He is a knowledgable professional that really listens and has a great sense of humor. If this is the path you choose, you couldn’t be in better hands.
