The difference between myself and other stylists, and this is what makes a huge impact on how happy my clients leave, is honesty. It truly is the best policy.
I keep it 100% real with my clients. If you come in and I know the desired result is not achievable, I WILL TELL YOU. I also will build a plan for you and offer multiple options that suit your needs on multiple levels. Do you have the time required for the service to be completed in one day? Do you have the funds for the desired result? Is your hair healthy enough to withstand certain processes to achieve the desired result? Do you have the time and money to maintain the desired result? The list goes on and on. We will problem solve and get through it together.
If by some chance you are that stubborn client who just wants what they want and that’s it, I will mentally prepare you for the issues that may arise, and you assume all the risk. 99.9% of the time, you will change your mind! :) No one wants to make an investment in their hair without the guarantee of an aesthetically pleasant result!

April is AMAZING!!! She’s a true artist. I want to adopt her but she’s taken! She’s friendly and warm and insanely talented! She knows how to make her clients comfortable and she gives he best head massage.

This review is long overdue, but I will always remember April as the awesome hair stylist that saved my hair for my wedding. I was working 2 jobs and picking up overtime hours to make some extra cash for the wedding, so I really couldn’t find any time to tend to my hair the weeks leading up to it. The last time I had color done to my hair, it was quite a disaster, and because I was more focused on work and the wedding, I kept putting off having it fixed. Before I knew it, my wedding was coming up in 2 weeks and my schedule was absolutely, completely booked.
I found April on Unilocal and luckily she was able to book me the week of my wedding. Unfortunately, the only day I was available was the day before the wedding. When I showed up, she didn’t know what to expect, so when I told her the situation, and that my wedding was the next day, she could have easily freaked out, but instead handled it like a true professional. I didn’t even know what I wanted — no pictures, no pinterest pins, nothing – I just wanted it to look nice. We talked it through and like the hair genius she is, she was able to come up with something subtle yet beautiful in the short time that was allotted. And as if it wasn’t enough that she fixed my hair, she made this nervous wreck feel so much more at ease, and even more excited, the day before my wedding. She’s so easy to talk to and when you meet her… you know you can just trust her with your hair. I finally got my pictures in, and looking at my hair, I know I lucked out with April. Now, I can’t wait to go back to her to chop it all off! =)

April was so cool! It felt like I was hanging out with a girlfriend. Her suite is super cozy and chill. She taught me tips and tricks to style my hair. She explained what she was doing throughout the process and got many visuals of what look I wanted to achieve before starting. She’s amazing! I will definitely be coming back for all of my hair needs!

Wow! Wow! Wow! April is AMAZING!!! I happened to reach out to her before going on a trip but unfortunately due to my bad timing I wasn’t able to go see her :(but I got such a good happy vibe from just speaking with her via phone that I knew I had to see her when I returned from my trip.
A week after I returned from my trip I texted her for an appointment. It’s really nice to be able to text her as being between work and school sometimes makes it just impossible to call.
When I got there she greeted very professionally. Her suite was gorgeous and it has a home-​y feel so you feel right at home. She had little snacks, a mini fridge and a KEURIG!!! Total plus!!!
She began first by speaking about my hair. Let me tell you she is super knowledgeable about hair. She said things that not a lot hair dressers have said in the past that totally made sense to me as I deal with my curly and frizzy hair everyday.
I went in for a haircut and a blow out. Now I have done these before in the past and I am usually out in an hour. April took her time and was very detailed and caring about my hair. You can tele she really enjoys her job and truly cares about her customers. I already started referring her to family members and friends and I can’t wait to go back!!!

I found April originally through Groupon and then after reading her reviews and looking through all of the helpful pictures, I bit the bullet and made an appointment. Let me just start off by saying that every time I go into a haircut I am afraid of how it will turn out. This fear sometimes prevents me from getting it cut for way too long! I went in yesterday with my long, stringy hair and a general idea of what I wanted. I emphasized I still wanted length (as much as I could keep) and April knew exactly what I was talking about. She actually showed me the line of where my hair was breaking and we decided it was best to cut a little more off for the sake of the health of my hair. This girl really knows what’s she’s doing! Not to mentioning the layering is exactly what I wanted. I went in with my hair feeling dead and dry to leaving with luscious locks! Definitely will be back.

She is great, she listens to your needs carefully, super honest and knowledgeable about your hair needs. She was able to fix my blonde hair color which I thought would never happen! I will definitely see her again and recommend her services to everybody!!!

April is hands down the best hair dresser I’ve ever been to. I found her through groupon and she immediately booked an appointment the next day. This girl is so knowledgeable friendly and talented it’s crazy. I came in with very damaged brassy blonde hair and she transitioned me back to my natural dark brown color in a way that seemed like magic I seriously have new hair. my boyfriends bought that I was wearing the wig because the texture is so different, I feel like I’m living pentene Pro V commercial she really listens to you and is incredibly honest and never over promises anything. Her talents speaks for itself.

I came across this salon on Unilocal as I was looking for a new place to get my haircut. To my pleasant surprise, I found a groupon with April, who happens to be located at this salon. This was the first time that I had been to salon with this type of concept — each stylist has their own suite. It was great! I like to relax when I’m getting my hair done, the kind of privacy that the suites provided really helped to achieve that. It was nice to hear my stylist talk to me versus yelling because they have to compete with the sound of blow dryers. After arriving, I was a little confused about how to check in, but everyone there is friendly and they helped me figure it out. I met April and I showed her a picture of what I wanted, she was like Edward Scissor hands — a master with the shears. She talked to me the whole time and she is hilarious! The finished project was the best haircut I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend April.

I found April through a Groupon and I’m SO glad I did! She did a fantastic job with my color and actually knew how to cut my curly hair! I received so many compliments on my color AND cut. I will definitely be going back to April and would highly recommend her!

I decided instead of going to my usual hairdresser to try a groupon one. I had my hesitation about finding a hairdresser on groupon, but I was super surprised! April was probably one of the best hairdressers I’ve been to in a long time! She really takes pride in her work and it honestly shows in the end result. I couldn’t be happier with what she did to my hair and I’m so incredibly happy. She’s also is so incredibly nice which helps when your in a chair for so long. I totally found a new hairdresser !

I drive to this salon to see April from Upland (about an hour and a half — I know!). She’s excellent. She goes beyond my personal expectations and makes the drive and the price worth it all. I personally love trying new things with my hair while keeping it looking as natural and effortless as possible. Knowing that, she makes sure that I leave happy and looking my best. Please come here and see her — you won’t regret it.

I found April through a friend because my regular stylist was busy.
My baby fine hair is very hard to look thick and hold a style ever but April was able to make me look like I had super model hair. I couldn’t believe it!
She is amazing. with a blow dryer.
I now go to her when I have a special event and need my hair to look fabulous.
She also is great a color! I had a very bad hair coloring experience recently; was looking for a change for the fall and wanted to go darker but it was awful. I called April to see if she was able to fix it and take me back to natural looking blond with natural highlights. She took her time and was so meticulous to make sure she got all the dark out and did the most spectacular highlight, weave, color I have ever had.
She is affordable, takes her time and is amazingly talented. For a person with fine hair it is hard to ever like your hair… no matter what is done to it but I can actually say I love my color, love my hair and when she styles it I have fabulous hair!

I love going to April! She always does an amazing job and always makes me feel comfortable! I always get compliments on my hair. She is also an awesome shampooer. I love that she accepts that I like crazy colors but makes sure that I do what is best for my hair to keep it healthy and also looking out for me and my future when looking for jobs!
