Conejo Tankless Water Heaters

I recommend this company to anybody thinking of putting in a tankless water heater. I got multiple quotes and this one was the cheapest. Roy is friendly, prompt, and does great work. The job was done quick and clean. Being a local business person who lives in the community is also a plus for me.

If you want an HONEST, KNOWLEDGEABLE plumber, Roy at Conejo Tankless Water Heaters is the man for you. I disagree with some of the comments below about lack of returning calls. ROY ALWAYS RETURNS CALLS and will always do a great job at a fair price. WE LOVE HIM, Don’t even think of calling anyone else for tankless or general plumbing issues.

I didn’t know anything about hot water heaters and Roy was a patient and thorough plumber who made sure I understood the technology. And the install was quick and painless. Oh and he also fixed a bunch of other things in my house while he was there! Would highly recommend.

Not reliable and very unprofessional.
Did not call back when promised to schedule an appointment, but had decided to give another chance. When he arrived for installation (on-​time) my 9 year-​old daughter had answered the door and said I was sleeping. Instead of asking her to get me (I was upstairs doing laundry and did not hear the door), he left. Who doesn’t ask for a parent when a child answers the door? When I called him, he refused to return and was very rude. He said, «He wasted enough of his time and that I should go with the other quote I had received». Although I had called thirty minutes after I realized he was running late, he claimed he had wasted 2 hours of his time and lost money on the job. Beware.

Six years ago Roy did a nice job installing my Noritz tankless.
Shortly after the install, my water heater would run when any cold water was used in the house, which it shouldn’t do.
Roy came out and found the pressure regulator to be bad, changed it and all has been good ever since.
Now for the downside about Conejo Tankless and Roy.
I have called five times over the past four years and always got his voicemail.
Never once has Roy returned my call, even though I have left both name and number each time.
My last, and final, attempt to contact Roy was last Friday, today is Wednesday, still no return call.
In the future I’ll call another plumber.

Couldn’t be happier with the service. We had an old Bosch which gave up. My wife found a tankless on sale at Lowes. We called around for quotes — they ran everywhere from $ 250 to over $ 1000 to install our unit. Some people did not know how to handle the installation, but weaned to charge us anyway. Roy came out, matched the lowest price, adding in some new gas lines and even repaired a problem we had in our shower for the single price. Great service. I would recommend him and I will use him again.

Roy is a plumbing genius! He fixed my sink in two minutes after two other plumbers completely missed the problem !

I had a tankless water heater problem for several weeks now. Suddenly my hot water output decreased to a luke warm water output. I have had this heater for about six years never experiencing problems. I’ve narrowed the problem down to the water valve after reading forums and the Bosch website. I ordered a rebuild kit and called Roy.
Roy told me that he had never worked on Bosch units before, but was willing to do the job and gave me an estimate and an appointment. On morning of the day of appointment he called and had to cancel because his other job ran long. We rescheduled but I couldn’t take time off again until two weeks from that day. Two more weeks of luke warm showers in this cold weather. I ordered a complete water valve and while waiting I attempted to exchange the water valve myself. It’s not brain surgery. I had a problem removing two last set screws which had become frozen into the brass water valve, the phillips head stripped. The screws weren’t flush with the valve. When Roy and I talked the day prior to the appointment I told him about that. He sounded confident.
When he came over, he briefly attempted to remove the screws while on phone with tech support. He wasn’t excited about Bosch units nor about servicing tankless water heaters. He seemed helpless. Tech support basically said a new gas valve would have to be ordered if the screws aren’t coming out. Roy didn’t charge me since he couldn’t remove the screws but there wasn’t a whole lot of brain storming going on and not a whole lot of motivation noted.
I think I basically just wasted two days off and two weeks waiting around. I’m sure on new unit installations he’s a completely different person, but for servicing tankless units .”.Meh, I’ve experienced better.”

Roy is amazing and trustworthy! I was out of town when I heard that my hot water heater stopped working, as well as the garbage disposal. Roy fixed the garbage disposal and installed a new hot water heater for me. He is affordable, dependable, and does an excellent job. I highly recommend him.

This is an amazing company run by a guy named Roy Madigan. Roy installed our tankless water heater in 2008 and we have not had a day of trouble with it. It has been the simple most important decision that we made for our daily lives. Everyone in the house, every single day, can take as long of a shower as they want. Ten people in a row could take an hour long shower with no problems. Roy does an excellent installation and is available and friendly in answering questions. I went out of my way to write this review because it is Christmas, four years later, and I felt I should give credit to someone who made life so much better for us.

Why didn’t we get a tankless hot water heater sooner? Though we have since moved out of state, Roy Madigan sold us and installed our tankless water heater and we were delighted with the always-​on hot water, the dependable service and working with a locally-​owned business.
