Dr. Daniel Elbert offers quality comprehensive restorative and aesthetic dentistry in a comfortable, luxurious setting.

We are quite different from many dental practices because we believe in taking a comprehensive approach to your dental health. Dr. Elbert examines every aspect of your dental health — your teeth, gums and other soft tissue in your mouth, as well as your jaw and the way you bite. He also uses digital x-​rays and intra oral cameras to get a set of highly detailed images of your teeth. Then, using our advanced computer technology, Dr. Elbert educates you about the health of your mouth so that you can co-​diagnose the problems with him and work together to meet your personal goals. Ultimately, his goal is to establish your smile on a solid foundation that will provide you with excellent dental health throughout your entire life.

Business Owner

Daniel Elbert DDS was born and raised in Southern California. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU Dr. Elbert finished an honors program in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Elbert provides a full range of dental services encompassing prevention, restorative, orthodontics, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. In addition, Dr. Elbert is continually up-​to-​date in the latest dental technology and advances. He is a member of the American Dental Association, San Fernando Valley Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and California Dental Association. Dr. Elbert enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Rita have two beautiful daughters, Sophia and Alexandra. In his spare time, Dr. Elbert is an avid sports fan. He likes to play basketball, golf and tennis.

Dr. Elbert is an outstanding dentist! He is very gentle and very informative. Not only he explains in great details the procedure he performs, he keeps me informed of every steps throughout the procedure. I am so glad that I finally found a great dentist for my family. He also calls to check up on me in the evening to make sure everything is ok. His entire staff is very friendly and courteous which makes every visit a pleasant one.

This was my very first visit and I wish I could give Dr. Elbert more then five stars. From the moment you walk into the office you feel welcomed and as if you are a part of their work family. A calm comes over you as you’re greeted by all the staff and their beautiful smiles. Dr. Elbert and his staff members are comforting, kind, patient, understanding, knowledgable and want to make sure you have the best dental care. It’s nice to have a dentist that truly and genuinely cares about his patients and staff as well. So thankful to have found my dentist FINALLY after four years of just not going. Definitely going to be a patient for life!

OMG… I never thought that I would be writing a review for a dentist… This is the best experience I have ever had in a dentist chair. Going for a dental checkup after 10+ years. Dr Elbert & staff were fantastic. Dr was very frank with what is really necessary and what can be put off for later. Very honest. Moved my wife’s dental to this office as well and she is happy camper now. Hope to stay here for a long time.

I was putting off going to the dentist, because I hadn’t been in years. A friend recommended Dr. Elbert and I finally decided to go. I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The entire staff was so welcoming and kind. They were professional, yet still treated me like a friend. My teeth felt like new after the cleaning and the x-​rays were thoroughly examined by Dr. Elbert. I got so much done for so little of a cost. I am so happy to finally find a dentist that I can trust!

This was my first visit. The first impressions were good. The office was clean and they had the latest technology. Everyone was friendly and the new patient process and insurance was straight forward. The hygienist and Dr Elbert did a good job cleaning the teeth and looking for any issues with your teeth and gums. They also did a good job with education about hygiene and explaining current or potential issues to watch out for (ie grinding teeth, gum disease, etc).
They definitely were selling themselves and services (ie whitening, invisaline, etc). However, I didnt think they were pushy about it. Overall, they seem like a great choice and would highly recommend Dr Elbert and his team.

I went to this dentist because I found them on Unilocal.I had a really bad experience at my other dentist because I am young and he told me I needed a root canal and I needed a second opinion because I was weary on whether or not they were trying to upsell me. I went to Dr. Elbert and sure enough my tooth was fine and was treated without needing to do a full root canal. Thank god – because I was completely petrified of having this procedure completed. From the beginning of my experience I felt as though they were honest and genuine and I immediately felt at ease about choosing to go to them. I scheduled an appointment letting them know I did have a dentist that I use regularly but I wanted a second opinion. I liked that they did not try and steal my business or get me to switch from my original dentist which I loved. Sometimes the worst part about the dentist besides the procedures is a pushy dentist. So I scheduled an appointment and sure enough my hesitation about my case was right. The doctor let me know that he had a better solution for my case and fixed the problem without having to do the root canal procedure. I don’t like to bad mouth the competition but I felt betrayed and having been new to that dentist I didn’t know any better. I now trust Dr. Elbert with all of my dental needs. Him and his staff are true to their name and will take care of you.

Dr. Elbert is an outstanding dentist and his staff is second to none. I recently made up my mind to return to a dentist (any dentist) after a 7+ year absence and sadly, I chose a different dentist for my initial consultation. 90 painful minutes later (seriously, how do you make X-​Rays painful?), this other dentist presented me with a worksheet of «to-do’s» and a $ 9,000+ tab… That hurt more than the consult. So, I sucked it up, took some advice and a recommendation from my mom, and decided to give Dr. Elbert the chance of a second opinion.
The best decision I have ever made. After an initial cleaning and painless X-​Ray set, Dr. Elbert reviewed the «To-​Do» list with me and did make some agreements to the previous dentist’s suggestions, as well as a much better attack plan. Hey, I’ve been away for 7 years, I didn’t expect my teeth or gums to be magically healthy. So, we decided on doing all of the work, made use of my insurance and some of Dr. Elbert’s good will, and 3 weeks later, I’m the proud owner of some much healthier teeth.
Knowing this and the fact that I still have a somewhat tough road to still climb, I have found my dentist for life. I could not recommend Dr. Elbert any more than I already have, but I will certainly try. If you’re unhappy with your current dentist, if you’re paying too much, if you’re nervous or anxious, or if you just want a calm, cool guy to talk to and a staff that always puts you at ease… Come switch to Dr. Elbert.
I promise you will be nothing but impressed and appreciative.

I move often and therefore am always trying new dentists. Most of them I am glad to know that I do not ever have to return to. Dr. Elbert and his staff do not fall into this category. I hope that I am able to plan dental visits around times that I return to the area.
They take their time, are friendly and have amazing customer service. The facility is very clean and cheerful. They explained everything, were patient, and did not try to up-​sell products/​services.
I highly recommend Dr. Elbert. My husband went here as well and had a great experience.

I am very sensitive to pain concerning dental work and get major anxiety before my appointments… like palm sweating, heart racing, dizzying anxiety. I would absolutely dread going to my dentist because I knew it was going to hurt but would go anyway and endure it… and I mean endure it. It was brutal. My sister-​in-​law urged me to try Dr. Elbert and I finally decided to listen to her! I should have gone in the first time she told me! I told him beforehand that I was the biggest wimp ever and cannot handle dental pain. He assured me I was in good hands and talked me through what he was going to do and what to expect. He was so gentle and my experience was PAIN FREE. I was so surprised. The whole time I was waiting for the pain to come but it never did. I could feel the difference in how he treated my teeth with complete gentleness versus my other dentist who was so rough. Seriously if you are trying to find a dentist I HIGHLY recommend giving Dr. Elbert a try… You will not be disappointed. The receptionist, Olivia, was also super nice and sweet. Very welcoming!!! Overall my experience at Smile Design was top notch!

Dr. Elbert is an exceptional dentist.
I am usually very sensitive to pain when it comes to going to the dentist and Dr. Elbert made my experience not only pain free but he was quick, thorough and his quality of work is unparalleled.
The atmosphere of the office is always positive, the staff are friendly and there is no disconnect like with many doctors practices. You will feel very welcomed and comfortable at this office.
Simply put, you will be very happy you gave his office a try.

Unbelievable experience! Had a crown done in one sitting, along with 2 cavities filled, in 2 hours. I didn’t feel a thing. Crown was made right there, with this unbelievable 3d computer system. Convinced my wife to go here & she was amazed. The whole experience, including the whole staff, was just amazing. I usually don’t write reviews, but couldn’t help but rave about this one! You will not be disappointed, if you want quick fixes with no pain.

Great dentist! He’s very efficient and explains what he is about to do and what it will feel like. I just had a crown and 2 fillings put in and there was no pain whatsoever. The office staff is friendly as well.
