Lombard Dental’s staff is wonderful. Everyone is so warm and kind. Dr. Zakaryan does a fantastic job and takes great care of me. I actually look forward to visiting them for my dental cleaning as they treat me like family.

I had my first appointment for x-​rays and was told they couldn’t clean my teeth they were too busy. I went back today and was recommended over $ 600 for deep cleaning and debridment which isn’t covered by my insurance. They wouldn’t clean my teeth they said they would be doing a dis-​service. I’m very upset I took time off of work to have my teeth cleaned and they couldn’t even do that. I’m not going back! They recommend work which isn’t needed.

Quick wait, friendly staff, great doctors, and helpful with billing options. Overall great dental office that’s why I’ve been coming here for years.

We sat for maybe 3 minutes before being called back to sit with the dentist. Dr. Leon is such a great dentist.
Easy to get along with and explains everything.
You can tell the staff enjoys working here and that always shows at medical offices.

Brought my 86 year old in for a long overdue checkup. They were very prompt and courteous to her. It was a nice experience.

I’ve been a patient of Lombard Dental for over 12 years, my whole family are patient’s there as well and I could not imagine how people could say such negative things about this dental office. Dr. Bobby was my doctor for over 7 years and I was sad when they informed me that he had moved, but Dr. Golriz (USC graduate) is now my dentist and I could not be happier. She is super friendly and professional and explains my needs in detail. Sonia, Office Manager is always super friendly, helpful and always accommodates my financial needs. It seems that every time I’m there people come in and greet everyone by name. Both assistants are very nice and have been there for many years as well. My hygienist is fabulous and always takes at least 45min doing my cleanings! I feel like I have to stand up for my dental office because I don’t agree with the other reviews people have posted, they are probably from angry bitter patients. I am an Amgen employee and have referred lots of my co-​workers there and I am glad to say that everybody that has been there has left very happy!!!

Lombard Dental Group is one of the best dental practices. I’ve been coming here for over 8 years and each visit is more than pleasant, I come out feeling like I’ve been to a dental spa. :)
I’ve recommend them to my family and friends and they are absolutely thrilled with how the doctors are, and about the results they are seeing. My previous dentists have been so rough on my mouth, and I would come out in pain, and sometimes the pain would last for weeks that I would be afraid of making it to my following appointments. The minute I started going to Lombard Dental, I knew I was in safe, gentle hands. The doctors take their time, making sure you get everything you need done correctly, and you build a special connection with them. The girls at the front desk are the best! They make you feel at home, and they also help you out with handling your payments, and their pricing is very affordable. I will never let anyone else touch my teeth… EVER!

What a terrible dental practice… why? This office
1) recommended unnecessary treatments without explanations
2) the billing specialist was unsympathetic to my financial situation and impatient in explaining my dental benefits; she thinks dental care is so affordable by asking hundreds of dollars at each visit
3) asked me to change my appointment to better fit their business needs
4) over-​charged my copay (after I switched to another dentist, the new office charged a lower copay for the same treatments) wtf?
5) the hygienist was so rough with my clean that my gum was sore for 3 days!

I recently went to Lombard Dental Group as a new patient. I was referred by my parents. Both of them being long time patients and always being happy in the past with the work they had done there. Well this last time they both went in together for a cleaning it was a disaster. None of the dentists from before work there anymore. My parents were given ridiculous explanations when asked what happened to Dr Bobby & Dr Michael? The receptionist was nasty and very condescending to them both. She was forcing (yes, forcing) unnecessary treatment on my father who in he end ended up walking away without a cleaning at all. I am very disappointed to hear that Lombard Dental Group has gone from an A++ dental office to one that none of us will ever darken the doors of again. I am now in search of another dentist I like. I hope I can find one sooner rather than later that I like half as much as I did Dr Michael. Very, very disappointing.

The dentist briefly suggested procedures after an initial workup. No explanation of procedures and coverages for Delta USA plan, just scheduled for a later date. On the day of procedures office personnel quickly present a document for signature again with no explanation. Our previous dentist performed cleaning every 6 months with no special treatment recommended or extra charges. This office schedules cleanings every 3 months at about $ 400 to $ 600 every 6 months. We are switching to a dental office that is up front about procedures and costs without trapping clients with excessive work and uncovered expenses.

My insurance assigns a dental office to provide care, and in my case they assigned Lombard Dental Group. Of note: while my Anthem Dental card suggests the dentist is Leon S. Kosdon, other dentists provide the actual treatment (see my notes at end of this string for additional comments). The initial exam was typical (x-​rays, dental exam, etc).
The dentist «Michael» seemed a friendly guy, and advised I could get a «deep cleaning» if I wanted. My response was fine if it was covered by insurance, which they shared it was. It happened they had an appointment for the very next day so I booked the appointment.
Then on the next day they called and asked if I could come in early, as they had a no-​show and it would be convenient for them as they were working a half-​day. So I accommodated them, left work and arrived at their office shortly thereafter.
Upon arriving the office attendant «Monica» presented me with a consent form for treatment with a $ 368 fee. Only then did they advise that only a portion of a «deep cleaning» was covered by insurance. I shared I had no interest in paying for any form of a cleaning at a fee given my coverage pays for a regular cleaning at no cost. They then stated that because the dentist ordered this «deep cleaning» that they could not alter the treatment.
I then inquired that we discuss with the dentist but he wasn’t on site. In fact, no dentist was there, just the high priced hygienist. I asked if they could reach Michael the dentist, but they said he was at another office that day. So I asked if they could call him at that office. Reluctantly they accommodated me and we got him on the phone. I told him the same story – that I had no desire to pay for a preventive service which is paid in full by my insurance carrier. He asked to speak to Monica, and apparently didn’t alter the order, but suggested she call the office manager, «Sonya» also not there that day.
So she then called Sonya who told me the same thing I’d already been advised: that they could not alter the dentist’s orders. I told her we just got off the phone with the dentist. She had no meaningful response. I suggested she or Monica reach out to the dentist to get the order changed and they shared the dentist had requested he not be bothered. I reminded them that a) that they had told me this was a covered expense and b) that I had come in early to accommodate their desire to complete their appointments to leave early. At that point, things went downhill. Monica stated there was nothing they could do. I demanded they call the dentist, as I had made the trek at their behest, and very much wanted to get my teeth cleaned. Sonya (still on the phone) said she didn’t like my attitude, and no they weren’t going to bother the dentist. I shared my dislike for her attitude as well, and that was the end of that. Sadly, they didn’t just lose my business, but also my wife and children.
In addition to the above, I also share the following re their office:
1) Antiquated dental equipment: I didn’t mention above, but the xray machine and process are very old school. The headrest on both the exam and xray patient chairs were broken. Still using development techniques for the film vs the more current digital systems, etc.
2) Questionable staffing: On my first visit everyone seemed nice enough, and I have no reason to doubt their credentials. But it wouldn’t surprise me if these are likely individuals who did not graduate at the top of their class… The office staff clearly have been programmed to manipulate the patient clients in a specific manner that drives add-​on revenue. Re the dentists themselves, I did check several major websites that report on dentists to see if I could better ascertain some background info. Neither dentist chose to disclose any information about their education or history.
So in summary, in my humble opinion this dental office is built to drive add-​on and perhaps unnecessary treatment for revenue beyond that reimbursed and paid by the insurance company. As soon as you don’t agree to their add-​on procedures, their happy faces get bitterly sour, and your status as patient/​client rapidly decays.
I would highly recommend against this office and suggest you form a relationship with some other dental office that has YOUR best interest at heart.

I called the office for a appointment. I asked if they have any problems completing AFLAC forms. I was told no problem and I was suppose to speak to the office manager when I arrived.
When I got there I was told they would not complete the form, but I could copy it from their receipt and complete it myself. I called my agent and he tried to explain. She said that they would not complete the form and the doctor would not sign the form either.
I tried to explain to her how it worked but she was so rude and nasty she wouldn’t even listen.
Many years ago I had used this office but I stopped going because they gave me a procedure plan that was over $ 4,000.00.
I was blown away so I went for a second opinion, and found that I needed a root canal and two crowns.
They were nasty then too.
I told myself, then never to go back, but when my favorite doctor no longer took Cigna I though I would give a try. Dr. Freeman not only fixed the poor work they had done at Kosdon’s office but was able to work with me when the money got tight. I sure miss him.
I do not recommend Lombard Dental, ASSOCIATES.
