Learn And Play

Learn and Play Daycare has been so wonderful for us and our 10 month old daughter! Mariana Duarte, the owner and director is a considerate and loving care giver, who truthfully cares for our child as much as we could possibly hope for. Our daughter has been going to Learn and Play since she was 7 months old, and Mariana has shared our joys of her going through her incredible growth milestones. My wife and I constantly tell each other that we can’t imagine having found a better woman to provide care for our daughter.
Mariana encourages games and exploration and intermingling between children of different ages, as well as a lot of time outdoors. The daycare is in her home, which is clean and well organized, and has a carpeted playroom. She has converted some great outdoor play spaces, with artificial grass, swings, and toys. Our daughter absolutely loves going there in the morning– when I take her out of the car and she realizes where she is, she usually smiles from ear to ear– a pretty remarkable comfort for working parents!
I definitely recommend Learn and Play! Aside from what a great caregiver Mariana is, the location is great for parents commuting along the Hwy 101 corridor, as it is located less than a mile off the highway. It’s hard to say enough about Learn and Play– it’s been a wonderful experience for us!

Learn and play is an excellent environment for children! Very clean and organized! Mariana the owner is awesome to deal with, she is patient and kind! If you are looking for a safe and friendly place for your Kiddos I highly recommend it!

What a wonderful place for children to play and learn! My daughter has been attending this day care since 8 months old and she is having a blast due the the utmost care, facility set up and Mariana Duarte, the owner, who does such a professional and heartfelt care for all the children there.
I like to mentioned that Marianna has a small child on her own and the playful atmosphere spreads around the whole house. The facility reminds me of a luxury day care, super clean and organized and just feels right with all the toys and activity schedule needed to keep your little one engaged all day! High level of experience and professionalism on Mariana side allows the children to thrive and don’t miss home for the good and the bad ;-).
I highly recommend this relatively new Day Care in Marin Learn and Play and if you like a smaller groups for your child that is the place to be for your child as it is not full yet. I highly recommend this day care facility and I checked quite a few in Sausalito and Marin.

For anyone looking for childcare for your little one, I highly recommend Learn & Play, a small in-​home daycare very close to the Mill Valley and Tiburon exit on 101. The director, Mariana Duarte, is loving, smart, kind, creative, organized, energetic, and honest (she was our former nanny so we know her well). She has incredible intuition (with both children and adults!) and I learned so much just by observing her with my daughter. She handled challenging situations (e.g. a fire alarm going off in the middle of nap time, someone at the park saying inappropriate things to my daughter) with confidence and grace. She was always coming up with thoughtful, creative, and developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate my child’s growth. I could go on and on but in short, Mariana is an incredible person who is extremely gifted with children so if you are looking for a daycare for your child, you should definitely check out Learn & Play.
