Rethink the possibilities of dessert. Enjoy Pudding on the Rice

History

Established in 2007.

Aaron and Jessica wanted to open a dessert concept that was more than just another place to eat. They wanted to create an experience; a place that was at once nostalgically familiar, yet provocatively fresh and challenging. They wanted to create something that would stick in customers’ minds; something that customers couldn’t help but tell others about. From these combustible and creative desires, Pudding on the Rice was born. In the winter of 2007, with the help of their families they opened the doors to Pudding on the Rice in Tigard, Oregon.

Meet the Business Owner

Jessica and Aaron G.

Business Owner

Jessica Grimmer has been cooking since the age of 14, making lemon meringue pies to raise money for her cheer leading uniform. She held various jobs during and around her college career including waiting tables, acting, photography, professional theater, and filmmaking but always felt most at ease in the kitchen.

Her aspiration is for her puddings and dessert sauces to become a staple in every home in the United States and abroad. She believes in creating not only delectable desserts but a long lasting brand that evokes thoughts of epicurean bliss.

Aaron has been the voice behind the brand and has a unique ability to create messaging that is catching to the eye and wickedly clever. For him, the future of Pudding on the Rice includes creating a culture alongside the brand, connecting the product to music, as well as political, pop, and social satire, striving to keep the brand fresh and relevant.
