Dr. Gary Alan DeBakey is proud to have served the Tomball and surrounding communities for over 26 years. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a degree in Biology. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas at Houston and began his residency in Obstetrics Gynecology at St. Joseph Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. While there, he had two research studies published, Appendicitis in Pregnancy and Febrile Morbidity After Cesarean Section and The Use of Prophylactic Antibiotics. Upon graduation, he received the prestigious Maxine Leever Memorial Award.

Upon completion of his residency he began his private practice in Tomball. Dr. DeBakey is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of many medical organizations. He is a diplomate of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Association, and the Houston OB/​GYN Society.
