This location is close to home and convenient for me. The staff is friendly and helpful. The janitorial staff does a great job. I have been an In-​Shape customer for many, many years. I only wish that when they remodeled this place a few years ago that they would remodel the bathrooms. The toilets are old and don’t flush well. I also wish they would upgrade the equipment with newer technology. Receivers you plug into on the equipment to listen to TV are terrible and outdated. All in all, still one of the few places to work out in Tracy.

First off I’d like to say this is the BEST customer service I have received in a long time. From my very first phone call I was greeted by Sales Advisor Tyler. After scheduling an appointment with him I learned that he is newer employee to the company. That took me by surprise because his professionalism, attitude, and friendly welcome made me think he had been there for many many years. He was very thorough with giving me a tour of the gym specifically pointing out certain equipment that may help me reach my goals. After we met in his office to go over price options, this was also a breeze he answered all of my questions and concerns and I JOINED! I am very happy with the club and most importantly I feel like I gained a good friend and can go and talk to Tyler whenever I need. He also set me up with Ryan the personal trainer to make sure I can get to my goals successfully and most of all safely. Thank you again Tyler & the In-​Shape team on 11th St.

I’ve been a die hard regular at this place for years. Love the Monday and Wednesday 9:00 class with Stephanie. Friday at 9 with Yorlanda. Staff is always nice. My only complaints are the dirty mats and exercise balls. They are absolutely filthy, disgusting Petri dishes that make you want to bath in disinfectant when you’re done working out. Almost everytime I come in the evening the child care has a wait list of 20−30+ minutes. And if I am paying every month for child care I shouldn’t have to worry about waiting.

I have been a member since 2013 and I can say with much confidence that it’s the best gym in town. The member are motivate and friendly. A big part to there success in my opinion is the staff. The staff strive to keep the gym clean and organized. The staff is also good about communicating to the member about reracking the weight and it makes for a good and non hostile environment. One person that has stepped up and really made the gym a friendlier place is Sean. Sean is always interacting with the members, reracking weights and giving advice to newer lifter. Sean has given me a good amount of advice and he a just a cool person to talk too. If ever I’ve seen maneger material Sean presents all qualities needed.

I’ve been coming here for a few months. The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. They have a very good variety of machines and free weights, and I have never had to wait for a treadmill or bike. Ryan McIntosh is a knowledgeable trainer and always smiling and able to answer any of my questions regarding different exercises.

Been going to this gym for about 4 years ! I went last Monday at 9 am for the free workout class and was so please with Stephane Lawrence ! You want a good workout, come to the class on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I’m so glad I joined this gym a few years ago. I’ve never had any issues other than the occasional time where I go for my workout and realize they’re closed for remodeling or reconstruction from a fire lol. But even then, you’re always welcome to go to any of the other in shapes in town until they reopen. They’ve got everything I need for a great workout and the staff is friendly. I only wish they were open longer on weekends! I like my late night workouts :)

BEWARE: TOWEL NAZI! … So in shape fit is currently closed due to remodeling. In shape city is the only option to go to. Usually people are nice and provides towels. This lady, she wasn’t wearing a name tag but she looks like consuela from family guy. «No… No» she basically rejected my towel request cause it wasn’t on my plan. It’s like, damn you are that person that doesn’t wanna give me extra sweet and sour sauce and charge me 10 cents. it’s not like you’re profiting off the towels. Looks like someone is trying to hard to get employee of the month. Most definitely whack person of the day!

does anyone know when the 11th street facility will re-​open? I’m using the Larger facility on South Tracy Blvd an it’s just too much gym for me. I looooove the set up the 11th street facility much better. I understand the Fire Marshal and City of Tracy has to «okay» clearance for public entry. But I haven’t really heard anything else.
Anyone hear anything on this?

This gym is awesome. It is seperated into key areas: cardio room, freeweights, machines, treadmills, bikes and elipical machines, and a core area. I can’t comment on how it is at night, but in the morning or afternoon I never have to wait for a bench press or machine. And if you happen to need to wait there is another workout to do, and most people are happy to let you jump in. The staff is friendly and outgoing, and keep the place very well maintained. The locker room has a steam room and is also well maintained.

I really enjoyed this gym. Everyone is courteous, both staff and patrons. It gets a little crowded, but typically people are happy to share machines and/​or rotate sets with you. It’s a clean facility, too.
I just cancelled my membership because my employment moved from Tracy to the Bay Area and I just don’t have time to go anymore. I’m writing the review because of the gal at corporate that helped me out. I’ve moved several times over the last ten years and cancelled several gym memberships pursuant to relocation, and every time, it’s been like pulling teeth, very unpleasant experiences all. Most gyms, in my experience, are very reluctant to remove their sticky little fingers from your wallet.
This gal at corporate was very understanding and helpful. She was able to save some money for me in the deal, and she left it so that if I come back, I’ll avoid paying initiation fees and my membership upon renewal will be month-​to-​month. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome, and if they ever open a gym in Fremont, I’ll definitely sign back up.

After numerous complaints over their over lapping classes, I’ve had it! Trying to get out of the Yoga class in afternoon is crazy. Before you can even get your mat off the floor the next class comes in like a hurricane, stepping a everyone’s yoga mats and jockeying for the best spot to set up their steps. They should wait till we can get out the door. I’ve told the General Manager several times to have the next class wait till we exit but he said he was too busy to monitor that :/​. More like too lazy. So I decided to take it to Unilocal and to upper manage, if that doesn’t work then bye-​bye Inshape!

I went from the big gym off of Tracy blv to this smaller gym and quite frankly I was a little scared. Even though this gym is smaller it has everything you need to get a good workout.
I definitely recommend it!

This is the gym for you if you have super low standards. They remodeled the place and it’s actually worse than it was before. They got rid of their locker rooms. What kind of gym doesn’t have a locker room? Even the little $ 10 gyms have locker rooms. I don’t understand how a gym could put money into remodeling this place only to make it worse. It’s small and cramped and full of meat heads. You’re a sucker if you waste your money going here when there are gyms way cheaper with much better quality.

Smaller location, smells like anus, but for a good cardio workout they have everything you need. Go to the In shape on North Tracy Blvd it’s cheaper. You’re Welcome

I really enjoy going to this gym, especially for Cherry’s Tue, Wed, and Thu yoga classes! What I like most about this gym is it’s easy to get a parking space, machine’s are available and working, staff is friendly, and it’s not HUGE like the one on S. Tracy Blvd. I had a membership for that one and it’s nice but it got too crowded for me and became more of a headache after awhile. So I downsized my membership and now go to just the one on 11th. Back to the yoga class, Cherry is awesome! She will show you how to do the different poses, she gives you alternatives in case your body isn’t ready to do certain things, she goes slowly making sure everyone is doing it correctly. She varies the routines and music and really makes it an enjoyable class. Such an excellent instructor, teacher, and friend! You will not be disappointed in her class. And it’s free, with membership! YAY!
