I don’t care if you are trying to pinch pennies. Do not use her. It will end up costing you more in the long run as she does not file all the necessary paperwork on time. To top it off she has zero follow up. And good luck getting a hold of her after you’ve handed her your check. She becomes a mythical creature. One that you only wish to find so that you can give her the medusa death stare.
My husband (I must refer to him as such as our divorce is _​still _​not finalized) and I filed our papers on June 26^th, 2015. We should have been divorced by December, 2015. But. We are still not. Why? Because Patricia didn’t file an important document and to top it off never followed up with the courts. We didn’t find this out sadly until December 13^th. Since then she finally got it in by December 21^st, but the court is telling me not until December 28^th.
All I have asked of her is to keep me up to date. A simple request really. But one that apparently she is incapable of doing. So fine, I will call and follow up. Except she never-​ever answers her phone!
I decided to utilize her based on a friend’s recommendation. I’ve never been burnt before by a referral. Sadly. This time it is costing me my sanity and has put a rift between my hopefully soon to be ex and I. She turned CA’s 6 month cool down period into my ex and I wanting to choke each other from the stress of not being able to move on with our respective lives. The court is telling us two more months but possibly longer due to the missing paperwork. We are trying to work it so that it doesn’t affect us emotionally, but due to me not being able to obtain medical insurance at a rate I can afford it is putting undo stress on us.
If you are smart then you will listen to me and NOT utilize her.
This is my first ever negative Unilocal review. I don’t like to use this service to be negative. I feel that generally people are much quicker to complain than compliment. I am a strong believer in compliments and really don’t like putting a review like this out there. But in case of Patricia I had to make an exception in hopes to save someone else from making an already stressful situation into something more stressful.

Ive used this service for my divorce as well as a couple other things. It’s hit and miss. First of all there is only ONE person that works here and that is Patricia herself. She NEVER answers the phone and takes days to return any voicemails. My Divorce lasted TWO months than it should’ve because she forgot to send in the paperwork! she provides NO follow up what so ever. I also know of TWO other people who have used her and have had the SAME issues. Bad Business … highly NOT RECOMENDED!!!

A big thank you to this office for an outstanding service. I was very nervous about the matters brought before me and Mrs. Speers helped me on each issue and everything was handled perfectly. She returned all of my phone calls promptly and answered each question. She knows her business very well and I would most certainly use her services in the future.

Does not return phone calls, does not reply to emails. Took weeks to prepare documents instead of promised 3 – 5 business days. Once docs were signed took over a MONTH to file them with the court. The financial advantages of choosing this type of service are far outweighed by the lack of professionalism & common courtesy displayed. Would suggest finding any other available service for document preparation.

I agree she doesnt return phone calls or emails. Even had gone by told I would get an answer next day and heard nothing back. it has been months between replies and my issues I needed help with have been drawn out for years now…

I have not experienced any problem like what the other reviewers are complaining about. We utilized Patricia Speer for our living trust documents, and have made several subsequent modificationns. We have had good experiences each time we need to make a visit!

Agreed. She does not return any phone calls or emails and she is very hard to reach. Even today I am still trying to contact her regrading my status that I filed in 2009. BAD BAD lawyer do NOT USE!
