This splash pad is much nicer than its neighbor down the road on Hall Rd. and Allen but it’s super lame«session» times KILLSMYVIBE. For the love of God, my children just want to run in the water and splash around but due to the session times, we had to wait over an hour to gain admission. The final session is between 4pm-6pm and is for Brownstown residents only. I realize that this is due to potential overcrowding but here’s the thing… closer to the end of sessions, that place begins clearing right out. Why not do a rolling admissions based approach? If 20 people leave, why can’t 20 people get admitted? Set a time limit so people are not there for 5 – 6 hours, if that’s an issue.(With little ones, I don’t realistically see a toddler – or mother for that matter – have the energy to stay in a hot, sunny splash pad all day long) Also, why the need to spend 30 minutes between sessions cleaning the facility? Isn’t that what chorine is for? Could you not use that time a bit better or more efficiently? Does it really take 30 minutes every two hours to clean it? I’m not sure why this bothers me so much other than this splash pad thinking it is the golden coated bee’s knees that it really isn’t.
