Trinidad Inn & Suites

At $ 49.99 a night this is a budget end hotel within walking distance of Safeway grocery store, liquor store, gun store and recreational marijuana store and downtown Trinidad.
My room was clean and spacious for two beds with microwave, refrig and tube TV. Bed was comfortable. Shower tub was clean, room was clean but showing ware. No ice machine (broken and not replaced).
I’d stay here again.

They are over priced considering the heater in our room was broken, it looked like a total dump, and (the reason that drove me to write this review) THERE IS NO HOT WATER what-​so-​ever. Do not stay here, there are better motels up the road.

We stayed here Monday the 1^st and Tuesday September 2^nd. I woke up Wednesday with at least 25 bites all over my body, I was swollen and itchy (my skin is still crawling). Besides the disgusting bugs the walls were covered in god knows what, the hot water was luke warm if that (the hot water did not work in the morning before 12pm), it stunk so bad I had to spray smelly stuff to even bare the room, there was dirt caked in in ever corner and crevice, the comforters were ripped, the curtain was half on and half off. We rented the room for a week and they said maid service was not offered, the garbage outside the rooms stunk so bad I gagged while walking by (they were over flowing), the tub wouldn’t drain, wallpaper was falling off the walls, there was some orange substance on the bathroom ceiling. I mean if it’s gross it was in this room. So needless to say I checked us out Wednesday morning as soon I seen and felt the bites. I walked down told them everything and they came to the room to look and argued with me about the hot water, and told me that my dogs which are totally house dogs were the ones who brought the bed bugs in (!), he first tried the bathroom sink and when that wasn’t working for him he turned on the bathtub faucet and waited a minute and looked at me and said «it warm», I then walked over and felt and said its luke warm and on high hot… he said I need to put cold water on-​not sure he understood anything. So we walked back down to the office and (we paid 362. for a week) he did his figuring and said, «I give you $ 150ish» I said no way. I demanded a refund for the night and he disagreed, then he tried to tack on a penalty fee for leaving after the check-​out time (I was there talking to him a little after 11 and checkout is 11). I told him that there’s no way I am paying that and I will call everyone and tell them about this experience and he waived that… we ended up paying $ 150 for this hole and he returned $ 208. Please please if this is the only time you listen to someone’s review please listen to mine-​do not go there, it will be terrible I promise you! If I could give it a ZERO I would! It’s not even worth a 1 star!
