stay away from troy !! and this place they suck troy police cocks to get cars its sad to say this company is a joke

I was involved in an accident last night and the cops called A & M. Within 10 minutes of calling them, they arrived (faster than AAA had even stated they would try to send someone out). The gentleman who loaded my car on the truck was awesome. I had to stop at the lot today to empty out my car, and the service guy at the counter (can’t remember his name) was so helpful! He let me take my time saying goodbye to my car and gathering my things. He went above and beyond what he needed to in order to help a damsel in distress (more like a poor woman stuck in the pouring rain saying goodbye to her favorite car of 8 years). If the rest of the process runs this smoothly, I will be sure to recommend A & M any time someone needs a tow in the area!

Worst customer service I have received since moving to Michigan a year ago. I had to call AAA again to have another tow truck come since first driver didn’t get it right the first time. Let AAA know that you do not want to use this company for your service needs and never go there voluntarily.

I just left a review on «A&M Towing» and these two are one in the same company. Reason for the second review? This place is just as much of a SCAM. Here’s why … if you are unfortunate enough to have your vehicle towed by A&M to their tow lot (even if you have your own truck coming and they just beat you to it), you almost HAVE to use the «A&M Service Center» because — due to some sort of Insurance Issues — the towing yard (which is a mile from the repair shop) doesn’t allow the VAST MAJORITY of tow trucks to pick up there because the place doubles as an impound. So, you’re stuck using a repair shop you don’t know, paying $ 75 to tow it one mile to a place you DON’T want it to go and in essence; you’re FORCED into using them as a repair shop. God knows what else they do as far as up-​charging. Regarding more on their towing: There’s the $ 165 for the unauthorized tow but ALSO $ 30 storage for picking it up the next day. Why? Because they’re ambulance chasing all through the night but can’t accept payment after 5pm. STAY AWAY!!!

This place is absolutely terrible. Never in my life have I ever received such rude and terrible business. My sisters car broke down. We have AAA so I called them for a tow. They sent A&M out. My husband, myself and my sister were in my car, we pulled out and waited for the tow truck driver to pull out behind us as he was going to follow us to where we were having it towed. We heard a loud banging and scraping, we all turned around to look and it appeared as though the chains had come unhooked from the front. It was only a few seconds and it was hooked back up and he pulled out behind us. We get to the location, he parked the car and then we had to go to a gas station to get change because he didn’t have any. Now folks, here’s where it gets fun. He leaves and we notice the front of the car vent was busted and both fog lights busted out, it was late and dark. It gets better. The next morning we noticed the real damage that was done. The drivers side fender, by the front tire was busted, a piece missing even! We happened to notice that the way he parked the car was so that the side that was damaged was facing away from us. I immediately called the company, who took my name and number and assured me a manager would contact me. A few hours go by, nothing. So I call back, the managers there and assures me he is going to where the car was parked to look at it and would give me a call. Well, he didn’t call back that day. I had to call the next day and play phone tag some more and finally got to speak with him. He said there is some damage bring it in and we will repair it. So after the vehicle leaves the shop for mechanical repair, I take it directly to them. He begins to argue with me about the damage and says that the fog lights weren’t caused by the tow and said that he wasn’t going to replace them. When I said if he didn’t I would call AAA and let them handle it, all of a sudden he agreed to replace them. He told us to leave with the car because it would take a while to get the parts and paint in for it. A while turned into over two weeks. With ME again being the one to contact them and stay on top of it. So finally he got the parts in, the car took two days to finish. Upon picking it up he apologized and said my driver has been reamed a good one. He should have told you there was damage. That’s the kicker of this whole thing ladies and gentlemen. The driver didn’t even bother to tell us that he damaged the car. Terrible business and makes for a really bad rep. So he got «reamed»? Not fired for damaging a vehicle and not telling the owner? Absolutely disgusted by this place. Since the very first phone call they seemed as if they didn’t even care and it was no big deal. The attitude they had made it seem as if this type of thing happens often. Your driver damages my car, doesn’t even have the courtesy to tell me and then you want to argue with me about what you are and aren’t going to repair? Not to mention he would not refund my money for the overage mileage of the tow claiming, «well you paid for tow, and you received it.» When I said I don’t think I should have to pay for a tow where you busted my car up, he replied with «that’s the way business works». Absolutely the worst, most shady business I have ever received from any company. I am very disappointed that AAA would even have this company as one of their towing companies. Steer very clear of this place because they are rude, shady, unprofessional, and a joke.

Can’t speak to what the negative reports here claim, but I needed a tow today, called AAA, and within 10 minutes, A&M were at my door. Paul was very friendly, super helpful, made small-​talk, and towed my car no questions asked. Would definitely recommend their services if you need a tow. Thanks Paul.

Just had these people come to help tow me out of a driveway. I had triple A and they called them. I just cleared the driveway for the guy to get in. The guy came out took two seconds and said he couldnt do it because there was snow.
There was barely any snow on the driveway. I told him I didn’t expect to get charged for this since he didn’t do anything but come out and say he couldn’t help. He said he planned on charging me anyways and took a picture of my driveway!
He was really rude and obnoxious. I felt his mannerisms really made the situation worse. Based on this persons representation of the company I would never hire them!
Edit: I saw I was contacted by a manager at A&M Service center. He asked me for the name of the tow driver and seemed sincere about talking with him and making their service better. Because of this, I added an extra star

My family has been going here for some time now. Now that I finally got my first car, I take my car too. Even though I’m only 18, they treat me like I’m much older. The service is as quick as any other garage and the work they do is top notch. My jeep recently needed an O2 sensor, they replaced it, but the check engine returned. Russ spent an hour carefully going through the system then drove around with me for awhile before sending me on my way with no check engine light. Great guy, great shop.
