History
Established in 2011.
Campanelli & Pear began as an idea between two long-time friends, Joe Campanelli and Brad Pear. Joe and Brad had worked together many years ago at one of Detroit’s landmark jewelry stores, Sidney Krandall & Sons. Joe went on from there to become both the goldsmith and designer for Jules R. Schubot Jewellers/Gemologists, for the next 20 years. Brad joined Joe at Schubot’s in 1999, starting in sales, and becoming the store’s gemologist and appraiser, until the family closed the store in 2009. With that closing came the germ of the idea to team up and start a new venture that would focus on what Joe and Brad loved most: truly fine jewelry and meticulous customer service.

Business Owner
Co-Owner: Joe CAMPANELLI’s career as a master jeweler seems almost predestined. Joe comes from a family of gifted artisans: his father was nationally recognized as an early innovator in the art of glass blowing and neon sculpture, an art that Joe pursues as well. He began working at the bench part-time in high school and after coursework at Detroit’s prestigious College for Creative Studies, began his career full-time at the bench. Joe is a master jeweler, having both designed and fabricated many special pieces – setting diamonds and gemstones – for some of Detroit’s most famous families and business and cultural luminaries. His commitment to quality and attention to detail is second to none, and evident in both his custom designs for clients and the pieces that he designs for the showroom: a piece of jewelry stamped C & P® (a nationally registered trademark), is truly a work of jewelry art.
