Meet the Business Owner

Rebecca D.

Business Owner

Hi! I’m Rebecca, the woman behind HappyBabble. I’m a mom of a toddler, so I know how important it is to be able to communicate with your little ones. That’s why I am so pleased to offer my services to families in the greater Capital Region.

First, let me tell you about my education. I have an undergraduate degree in American Sign Language from the University of Rochester and I also have a Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology from Northeastern University. I’ve worked for more than a decade in early intervention for kids and adults in rehabilitation settings.

After my daughter was born in 2012, I began to use a few signs with her around the house. Her first sign back to me was DOG and by her first birthday she had over 25 signs that she regularly used! It was amazing to converse with her.

This experience is where Happy Babble was born, the perfect combination of my two loves. My favorite moments are sharing ideas with parents on how to help their child communicate, regardless
